The proposed design for the new Two World Trade Center is a joke and will look awful from anywhere except NJ. However, we should be rational enough to acknowledge that the old design will never be rebuilt – this is good as we should look into the future instead of the past! Nevertheless, a second twin for 1WTC is necessary as so many on this website have made clear already.
NYC’s skyline is not the same without the majestic twin towers gracing it. We as New Yorkers hope that our elected officials will listen and do the right thing and rebuild the twin towers bigger and stronger than ever and show those who hate our great nation that we will never be defeated because we are NY STRONG!
I always would have wanted to visit the twin towers.
I am very sad about the new complex, the main looks nice but very boring, its taking more than 20 years to complete, 2 towers can’t even get built, and 6 world trade center is missing.
I want the tower to be rebuilt as whenever I look at pictures, they always show me american power and freedom.
The original Twin Towers should be rebuilt in beautiful glass and same height as the old ones!
The current one WTC might look good in a different part of NYC but not at ground zero!
The design of the new 2 WTC proposal is an insult to all Americans and needs to be scrapped! Putting a building that looks like boxes falling over next to 1 WTC that looks like a pyramid would be ultimate insult!
We were robbed of those two beautiful magnificent buildings. They were more then just two buildings they were castles in the sky that housed our special cargo all our beautiful people. Twins rest in peace.
As an Architect and engineer practicing in New Yrok city for more than 37 years I have grown to know that the Twins were as modernism should be. That’s to say the most efficient buildings ever built. If the Towers were there today they would undoubtedly be considered for renovation into Eco-Hospitals. At 2 acres yielding 220 that’s a must. Hello, my name is Kevin. I am an American citizen. I am a Native New Yorker. I was born in New York City specifically in Brooklyn after the 9/11 attacks that brought the precious magnificent World Trade Center Towers down. I didn’t get to see the twin towers in person. I was born in 2006 roughly 5 years too late. Starting in 2015 when I was just nine years old, I started feeling fascinated and super interested in these two buildings. I thought that they were the most beautiful skyscrapers ever. I started to want to see them in person so badly. I became so obsessed. I want to see the twin towers, be built back in the skyline in America, bigger and better and taller and stronger than before. We have to let the terrorist know they lost. I want them back because they were supposed to be part of my childhood.
