I agree that the best way to honor the victims of 9-11, to help heal our hearts, to gain back some pride, and to give the muslim radicals of the world a big "screw you," is to rebuild the twin towers.

Visiting ny next week, its a real shame not to see the towers, the new tower looks an impressive building but how can you build one where there was once two and call it progress,I'm afraid the politicians and powers that be are playing into the terrorists hand by taking a big step backwards by not going ahead and rebuilding these magnificent symbols of the world-a real shame!

This nation has apperently forgotten the horror of 9-11-2001 and seven days ago most of my classmates said "Why does it matter? We weren't part of it so we shouldn't even have to deal with it." Now I don't know anyone from it and I don't live anywhere near NY but what they don't realize is we are all part of it no matter where we live or who we know! This is AMERICA and we stand UNITED! We are ALL brothers and sisters! It might not be 9-11 today but since then I've been treating everyday as my last and remembering those who have died for us all. And remembering those from 9-11-2001. This is our nation. We should all be thankfull for what we have.

Rebuilding the twin towers would be the best thing to do by far. It would represent those Americans that still have common sense. It would also help a great deal in restoring America's image as the greatest country on earth. I would love to see the World Trade Center rebuilt exactly as it was and maybe one story taller. And I think most patriotic Americans would agree.

I thought I was the only one who wanted the towers to stand tall in New York again. It saddens me that our elected officials don't have the courage to do what is right, and that's to listen to most Americans, and build those towers back. Build them bigger and stronger than before. I believe the terrorists have psychologically defeated America. They can always say "look what we did to that country we knocked down those towers and America was too afraid to put them back up." I pray that this plan to rebuild those towers bigger, better, stronger becomes a reality. If we do rebuild them like we should, not only would it show them that we will always stand together, it would also show the world that we are not afraid. We are the United States of America.

hi, i'm from and live in Ireland, i think the twin towers should be rebuilt, i've looked at so many photos of New York before and after 9/11 and it looks much better with the twin towers, the freedom tower/one world trade center is ok but its nowhere near as nice or iconic as the twin towers. i really really hope that they rebuild the twin towers. hopefully someday in the future (within the next 10/15/20 years) i'll be visiting New York and seeing not just the freedom tower/one world trade center at WTC but also the rebuilt twin towers.

I grew up in upstate New York and visited those glorious towers while in high school. I remember we went back a second time on our trip because we wanted to go up to the outside viewing deck and the weather had prevented it the day before. So we saw not only the inside observation floor but the outside viewing deck also...a vivid and fond memory from my childhood. I have always wanted to go back and visit those twins and take those tours again as an adult but sadly will never get that chance now. I agree that we should build those towers back again. The Freedom Tower is a nice tribute to America's freedom, but it just doesn't hold a candle to those beautiful and majestic twin towers. I believe we should rebuild them again!

It would be great to see the towers up again. It was a sad day for America to watch our towers fall and watch all those people pass away. It was a mean a heartless thing that those terrorists did to our country. I will always remember and will never forget what happened. God Bless the ones who were lost and the ones left behind. May the new towers be strong.

Quite simply, though the freedom tower is a beautiful building, it does not touch the magnitude of the Twin Towers. How we as a nation can attempt to replace the Twin Towers with a building that cowers in their shadow is a plain travesty.

Hi, I was only 4 at the time of 9/11 I have seen some videos on 9/11 and saw how amazing the twin towers looked like! I am really disappointed that they aren't here today because I would of loved to see them! I really want to see them in the New York skyline again! Please rebuild them again but stronger and taller! Lots of people are saying it's too late but it's never too late! Please rebuild them!!

Continued......in new York you are telling the American people and families of the 3000 people that lost their life in the towers that they died for nothing. But if you do rebuild the world trade center twin towers it would be the ultimate tribute to the people who have lost their lives on that fateful day of 9/11/01 the worst day in American history of modern times.....terrorism can not win in America at all costs.

P.s. Osama bin laden may be dead since may 1, 2011 but in my book shooting that terrorist piece of trash was to easy. They should have brought him back to America to stand trial for what he did on 9/11/01 so the American people can look him in his eyes and give him their true opinions and what they feel.

I was only one when the towers came down and I would LOVE to see them in person and inside them. As I saw the portrait in our living room I learned about them.As I grew up I fell IN LOVE with them. And it's really sad knowing they're gone. When people come to NYC that's the biggest welcome that was there especially on New Years Eve. Please put the twin towers back! New York will never be the same again without them !!!!!!!!!!! The twin towers made up the NYC skyline. People from all over the world come to NYC and will never know we had such beautiful towers. Think about it. Let's all honor the 9/11 victims by rebuilding what the ament has taken away. The enemy has taken over 2000 lives and we CAN'T surrender. We have to fight for what we all deserve, by having the Twin Towers rebuilt!

I believe the majestic World Trade Center MUST be re-built. It shall be re-built. The amputated version of NYC with the ugly freedom tower needs to be restored. The freedom tower is ugly and stands out, all buildings in New York are all almost the same, the freedom tower is made of glass it's ugly that way. The World Trade Center was not just a place of finances and money, but it was everything, an attraction, a home, a record. We ALL deserve to see the WORLD from THEIR point of view. There is no one that does not deserve it or not want to see it. Everyone wants the World Trade Center back. That is why I am signing this.

Coming from Northern Ireland I grew up with terrorism daily. When there were bombs we just kept getting up, shaking ourselves off and rebuilding. I've never been to New York but hope to go February 2013 and am sad to have missed the two defining buildings. You might have the Statue of Liberty but these were the real emblems of liberty throughout the world. Please rebuild them as a shining example of freedom and liberty for America and the rest of the world.
God Bless you all.

It is a sin that they never considered building the towers. That would have been the ULTIMATE monument. Shit I would have just made them taller, maybe even just one floor. To be a monument to all the people that died.

The Twin Towers are not only the buildings that make New York what it is, rather they are the symbol of hope, strength, and freedom throughout the world. These towers shows the world that we cannot be defeated. With these towers rebuilt, we strike a message all over the world that you can attack us with your cold-blooded hearts, but our spirit will revive all that was lost by your hands. R.I.P all those who have perished from 9/11, may God bless your families, and GOD BLESS AMERICA, MY HOME SWEET HOME!!!

The american security has tightened after those attacks on the World Trade Centers. Osama Bin Laden's dead and his fellow men will not survive without him. This fight to rebuild the Twin Towers should go ahead and shall go on for the people of America, tourists, and in memory of the families mostly. These new Towers are atrocious to the scenery of the Lower Manhattan Skyline. I can see it's in memory of the families, and the people who died but just rebuild the twin towers because we could rethink to build it with security, safety and reassurance that these attacks will not happen again. Back in 2001 the security was loose, relaxed and not thought about. But today the world has become stronger and united over the years and become more solid.

Just bring the towers back up. Make the New York skyline as it should be. Make Osama Bin Laden roll and cry some more as he burns in hell. If you're a conspiracy theorist, then just sign petition to show whoever you think caused it to be sad or mad that the American people didn't throw in the towel. We'll let you believe what you want to believe. I can't blame you. America likes things bigger and better. So let's make the twin towers bigger, better, and safer to put the icing on the cake to show we just don't give up easily.

Ever since 5/28/02, when the depressing square hole dubbed "Ground Zero" was relieved of the destruction and shattering devastation that our beloved Twins became, 16 acres have taught us that bureaucracy runs America, political correctness forces the will of the few onto the will of the many and the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site has been a complete failure.

I embrace the new WTC, but I have a void in my heart and in my spirit. A void created by terrorism, and reinforced by incompetence. I know Lower Manhattan will NEVER have the Twins again. Yet... I just can't let the flame of the WORLD TRADE CENTER die. It will burn in us until we get back what was taken! I don't know how, or where, but that void will be filled once again.

There has never been a time like now in recent years that I have wanted the towers back more than ever. The twin towers aren't just "tall buildings", they are true icons of our nation. Reading & watching updates through the WTC project, there is still ample amount of time to rebuild.

I believe that rebuilding the twin towers would help restore hope in our nation and would bring back the majesty of the New York City skyline. As a lifelong resident of the tristate area, those two buildings were not just skyscrapers. They were icons of who we are as a nation and a symbol of what it means to be a New Yorker and New Jersian. We are a tough and resilient people and for that symbol to not be returned to our great city is an absolute crime. Rebuild the towers alongside the Freedom Tower and show the world we haven't given in and given up.
