As the wife of a 9/11 survivor I wish to see the Towers rebuilt as they were. This will greatly ease the void left in my husband’s heart when our precious towers were restored.
The disgrace of forcing a horrible rebuilding plan with a permanent blight on the city skyline & spirit is increasing the stress we already feel post-9/11.
I firmly believe the Towers should be replaced NOT redesigned. I worked in the Law Dept. when the towers were Austin Tobin’s “dream”. I’d like that dream to become reality once again.
As a former employee working in the upper floors of WTC 1, and a relative of one of the 9/11 survivors, I strongly feel the City needs to have the towers back as they were. Their beauty far surpasses any of the replacements presently proposed.
1 WTC 71.
I was there on 9/11 at my desk when the first plane hit.
Walking up west side highway I thought “They will probably invite us all back in 20 years for opening day when they’re rebuilt.”
It was obvious to me that the Twin Towers would be rebuilt.
I would like the Twin Towers rebuilt. I would work there again.
We would honor those who perished by rebuilding to the occupied height (at least) and doing what they did here–live. We are not OKC, we are NYC–the concrete jungle, not the perpetual victim.
To all those who survived the attack of September 11, 2001, i give all my faith. We shall trust the new ability to rebuilt the WTC. Not to live the pain over again, but to realize that we still need the World Trade Center.
I am British and have never been to NYC, but I believe the towers should be rebuilt bigger than before to show the cowards who did this 5years ago that America & her people are not afraid of anything. And stand for what they believe in, the skyline when you see it now, doesn’t look right, it looks all wrong, NY needs her towers back. The terroists can not be allowed to win this! They need showing!
i find it very sad even if i am from argentina. the father of a very good friend of mine dyed there. I AM REALLY SAD FOR HIM. I WISH THE TWIN TOWERS COULD BE REBUILT.. pleaseeee..
thank you..
delfina.
As a Volunteer Firefighter I’d like to express my heartfelt sorrow to those that lost loved ones on 9/11. If there is one thing that I cannot stand it is those conspiracy theorists making claims. My heart and prayers go out to you all.
i would like to first introduce my self tirdad gharib a proud american citizen, i shed tears for all of you 9/11 survivors and families may god bless our heros who are in heavean resting in peace but we will never give up we will continue to show the world especially to show the facist islamic terrorist that no one can destroy new york and our great nation the usa , may god bless all of you may god bless mark levin and may god bless our us troops rebuild the twin towers yes indeed very sincerely
I am from Australia and I am of a firm belief that even after all the Losses of human life and hurt that many suffered, the twin towers should be rebuilt bigger and better that before and be named the PEOPLES TOWERS.
I am a native of Brooklyn, I now live in Athens Greece, but NY has never left my heart. I believe that the towers should be rebuilt, I agree that doing anything else but that will diminish a legendary city and a breath taking skyline.
The towers are an integral part of this city. Better that the upper floors go unoccupied than to turn this site into something unfamiliar and alien. The current design is strange, compromised and without the soul and the character of what the towers now stand for.
May those who died in the attack of Sept.11,2001 to be in god’s glory always and forever. I always remembered and will remember the World Trade Center as the heart of manhattan. It’s sad to remember the times of visting the twin towers, taking pictures and taking tours…I still believe the World Trade Center should be rebuilt again to keep our memories alive, to start new careers, and to feel more power no matter what happened…God bless america! R.I.P for those innocent lives. Love, carolyn

These towers should have been built by now! Those middle easterners think we’ll never get them built and are laughing – saying it serves the infedels right!
So……Let’s get them up stronger and taller than before – and then ask God’s protection for the people who work within them.
please rebuild, although i lost someone very close to me and i know i can never get them back, the towers should be rebuilt the way they were before! time goes on and we must carry on. a new tower with a new design says we have forgotten. but if we go with the old look, it says. we are strong and we carry on, through the ups and downs. we are one nation, for justice and all.
My wife was in the towers when the first plane struck and thankfully made it out. We both feel very strongly about the towers being rebuilt, anything less would be a victory for 19 individuals and would basically be a 1700 ft white flag muddying our once beautiful skyline.

The rebuilding process has degenerated into a pathetic mess. Just rebuild the towers already!!

rebuild the towers
I agree. Rebuild them like they were.
59th floor WTC 2 survivior of that day.
The same towers should be rebuilt as tall and proud as they once stood before. They made the NYC skyline.

This design for the WTC site should be built:

I am trying to see that since the twin towers was a good memorable place that it should be rebuilt
