Return the same design to show the world that we still retain the great qualities we had on Sept 10…that we’re still optimistic, generous and looking forward. But build them taller as a warning that we recognize we live in a Sept 12 world and we’re stronger, vigilant and resolved. Dare them to come again.

I was fortunate enough as a child to watch these towers being built, and to me they were and are every bit as important as the Statue of Liberty. I also agree that the only way to tell all comers that the will of the USA will not break in the face of attack is to put things back as they were and rebuild the towers exactly as they were.

American did not shut down Pearl Harbor after the Japanese attacked it — America built the most fearsome Navy in the history of the world and destroyed the Imperial Japanese Navy.
I say REBUILD the Twin Towers and make its tenants the most FEARLESS in the history of the world.
We can achieve this using our technological and military superiority to ensure the safety of our citizens and seal the doom of ANYONE who threatens New York City.
Why let the enemy decide our fate? Rebuilding shows them that we will not be cowed by their anger, and we are still strong, no matter what they throw at us. Lets show our children that we stood up just when the world thought we would crumble, and that we refused to falter, even when everyone else thought we would break. Rebuild the towers!
Rebuild the Twin Towers as they were. They are the symbols of capitalism and the financial strength of this country. Do not mangle the site. Return the towers as they were and defy those that have tried to destroy it. The should be one story taller to symbolize an “in your face” defiance. Bigger, stronger and taller.
I was living in Clifton on September 11th and saw the towers burn from Grove Street near my home. I was in the Marine Reserve at the time and have been on active duty for three years since then to the mideast and Iraq.
I think there should be something equal to or bigger than the WTC towers to show the world our steadfastness. When the Arizona was sunk at Pearl Harbor they built new battleships that were bigger and better to replace her. Not just for the war, but for the show of resolve.
What better way to show that what they knock down we can put back. Obviously using new technology to make them safer but the outsides remaining the same.
What a better way to show American resolve than to rebuild the towers. If you need to re-enforce them and get them up to current code, even better. The Freedom Tower is ugly and an eye sore, bring back our “twins”!

It should spur us all on to greater virtue and all that is best about our Nation and its people: freedom, honor, compassion, justice, neighborliness, fear of God, a sense of brotherhood, respect for life, self-sacrifice. People like George Soros are sworn enemies of the USA and all it stands for. He and those infamous, America-hating traitorous, God-less individuals like him should be promptly escorted to our borders and evicted from our land.
