The world was robbed of the 21st-century Twin Towers most of us always wanted.

We must pray to become worthy of their sacrifice. We must remember them. We must avenge their murders through total, complete, utter VICTORY !
But, there can be no victory if there is no historical context, no cultural memory of why we are fighting Islamofascists, and without victory there can be no peace.
One mark of the totalitarian psyche is the need to air-brush historical contexts. We must not allow that to happen to 9/11/2001 and The Twin Towers.

The message we send needs to be clear: We are not afraid. When you deny the terrorists terror, than the only thing they have is their radical ideolodgy.

We need to build new towers taller than any other structure in the world.
We need to send the world a message we not be intimidated by those that would destroy our freedom and way of life.

The Twin Towers were an American symbol. Rebuilding them will fill in the hole 9/11 left. Rebuilding them will show America’s strength and looked towards the future. The Freedom towers is a step back. It dwells on 9/11 as it cowers down from the mighty Twin Towers.

We will never know the real reason for the attacks. No matter how much some one thinks they know.We however not just as Americans, but as people must stop the hate. What does violence solve? You can win a war but what does it mean? How do you fight an idea? How do you fight a war when the enemy is an opinion based on what we dont know? The war is in ourselves.Someone has to be the better person and initiate it.Starting with building the towers the way they were, and rebuild ourselves on both sides.

We are Americans, the strongest in the world. We get knocked down, we get back up. The Towers were American, they got knocked down, why are we debating on putting them back up???? There should be no question about it. We need to show terrorist that we will stand again along with OUR Towers!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry for the families and not a day goes by that I don't think about the ones who lost their lives that horrible day. I never thought I would live long enough to see an attack on U.S. soil, but I was so wrong. My American flag is proudly displayed every single day of the year.

Please rebuild the Twin Towers, I miss them so much. I feel that nothing would be more effective as a memorial that a huge memorial in the lobby of both the towers. By making a small, low tone, memorial we are showing weakness in the eyes of the terrorists. I wish so much that more people felt like I do, again, please rebuild the twin towers, its what is right.

We must do whatever is needed to make sure that the World Trade Center rises once again.

I remembered thinking in September 2001, where would we be in September 2006, would the pain be less? Would we have already rebuilt? and here it has come and gone, 5 years, and it still feels as it was yesterday. Anything but a new World Trade Center would be admitting defeat.

No greater homage or tribute can be paid to our fellow fallen americans, than the rebuilding and resurection of what the twin towers stood for. Not only for America, but for all those who called it home and for all the families who called it our bread, the towers must go up to show the world and the families of 911, that here again stands a symbol, a symbol of the spirit of America, a symbol which will prove again that America too as well as its citizens will not stay down in the face of adversit

Healing and closure begin when we fill the void in our skyline and our hearts with the restoration of one of the great symbols of this country, and memorialize and honor all who gave their lives on that fateful day.

Please Note: This petition is meant to provide a forum for this subject alone. It is a petition, not a bulletin board. We will not sanitize controversial remarks if the comments are primarily in support of the petition’s purpose. But off-topic remarks are subject to removal on a case-by-case basis to keep the focus where it belongs. Thank you.

Important Mention: Those who read back over the comments will find that from time to time we have highlighted excerpts to help those who only have time to skim a page get a sense of what people are thinking and feeling. We rarely do that now and it was never a methodical effort, but just a window on public opinion regarding this monumentally important issue. The important thing to know is that no comment matters more than any other. Each one is valued and helps make the case that the public was sidelined on something that mattered so much.

TTA Note: Occasionally a current signature will disappear. When that happens it is because someone who has already signed the petition signs a second time and when the second signature is validated the two are automatically merged and appear in the original chronology. If someone leaves a second signature and comment, it automatically overwrites the earlier placement when the validation link is activated. If it isn’t activated, or it is made using a different email address, there will be duplicate signatures. When we recognize that someone has signed before, we will delete the earlier entry and, if it was verified, verify the new one, since the clear intention is to make the new comment visible. We may decide to manually include the earlier comment at the end of the current message.

Regarding anonymous signatures: Taking a stand using one’s full name is always preferred, but when a name is withheld, the signature and sentiments are still of value. In every case, we have an email address that corresponds with the entry and is kept private.

* Indicates that the signer has not yet activated the validation link, often due to spamblocking software. They are included out of respect for the sincerity of the comments.
