The world was robbed of the 21st-century Twin Towers most of us always wanted.

Failure to rebuild the Towers, is to assign ourselves to permanant humiliation and degradation.

The only thing worse than the Attack on 9-11, is our failure to restore our skyline.

How will our Children judge us?

They took the towers from us, from our children and grandchildren. We need to give them back, not put up some stupid-looking building designed by a committee.

Rebuild it is the only correct thing to do.

New York needs the Twin Towers they must be rebuilt,

rebuilt in the same form, like the Trump plan.

If Athens, Greece was rebuilt sevral times why cant the

Twin Towers be rebuilt. Stop the bureaucracy and rebuild!

I want to say that i'm very ANGRY that someone would do such a thing. I remember exactly where I was 5 years ago. If it was another event, I wouldn't have remembered but this event was so terrifying, so tragic that it is stuck in my mind and heart forever. On september 11th, 2001, i was sitting on the left side of my grade 6 class sitting beside my bestfriend and when i was listening, I started to cry. I was scared out of our own sake in canada. I was terrified and it brings me to tears.

Today is 9/11/06 A couple of day's ago I thought that the best thing to do is rebuild the II's towers Just mightier & stronger. I never thought this way b4 but if they
build the freedom tower it's going to be a hollow victory. These II's were Majestic they went on forever into the sky, they were the cities BIG Protective Brother. We the People of America and it's Allies must Build them again. You cannot replace the mona lisa with a lesser painting.

Build the towers back the way they were, but one story taller and the facade in shimmering white or silver. Let the terrorists know they failed.

New York City will never be the same without the Twin Towers. To make the biggest statement to the rest of the world would be to rebuild as they were. In Tulsa, my birth city, we have the BOK tower, designed by the same architect who designed the Twin Towers. Please rebuild New York City's skyline.

New York City just isn't New York City without the "twin towers." Please put them back in their original form and make NYC and the rest of the country "whole" again! Let's show the world that despite the tragedy that was unleashed upon us, we have the resolve to unite and withstand any and all transgressions against us. Let us send that message loud and clear!!!

I believe the towers should be rebuilt to help America heal, but to also remind us of what can happen. I did not personally know anyone who lost their life there, but if I or one of my family members had, I would want them rebuilt as a memorial to them. Also to show terrorists...We will survive. GOD BLESS AMERICA !

I know I have three names (like you-know-who, HRC) but, believe me, that's the ONLY thing we have in common! At first I didn't know if rebuilding the Towers was the right thing to do but time has passed and now I do! What a magnificent sight they would be NOW! What a grand statement! How soothing and beautiful! With all the political NONSENSE going on about the site, and all the absurd designs (and I'm a designer), this would just shut everyone up.

It'll be great to bring those towers back up. I've only saw them in my own eyes in Liberty Park New Jersey a couple of times in the past and I could never forget their presence. Forget the freedom tower, bring back the towers...NOW!

Keep the world trade centre and the memory of the angels taken away that day alive. They might have took the person from us but they will never take their memory. I'm still in deep saddness for America, the people lost that day and their families. ANGELS LIVE ON FOREVER. I hope i will go to heaven so that i will be able to meet every single one of them.

Please Note: This petition is meant to provide a forum for this subject alone. It is a petition, not a bulletin board. We will not sanitize controversial remarks if the comments are primarily in support of the petition’s purpose. But off-topic remarks are subject to removal on a case-by-case basis to keep the focus where it belongs. Thank you.

Important Mention: Those who read back over the comments will find that from time to time we have highlighted excerpts to help those who only have time to skim a page get a sense of what people are thinking and feeling. We rarely do that now and it was never a methodical effort, but just a window on public opinion regarding this monumentally important issue. The important thing to know is that no comment matters more than any other. Each one is valued and helps make the case that the public was sidelined on something that mattered so much.

TTA Note: Occasionally a current signature will disappear. When that happens it is because someone who has already signed the petition signs a second time and when the second signature is validated the two are automatically merged and appear in the original chronology. If someone leaves a second signature and comment, it automatically overwrites the earlier placement when the validation link is activated. If it isn’t activated, or it is made using a different email address, there will be duplicate signatures. When we recognize that someone has signed before, we will delete the earlier entry and, if it was verified, verify the new one, since the clear intention is to make the new comment visible. We may decide to manually include the earlier comment at the end of the current message.

Regarding anonymous signatures: Taking a stand using one’s full name is always preferred, but when a name is withheld, the signature and sentiments are still of value. In every case, we have an email address that corresponds with the entry and is kept private.

* Indicates that the signer has not yet activated the validation link, often due to spamblocking software. They are included out of respect for the sincerity of the comments.
