I would love to see these two amazing towers rebuilt – what better way to show terrorists that they simply can not and WILL NOT ever win?! In fact, I think we should go even further and not only rebuild the towers but rebuild them higher than before in increments of a certain measurement for each person that was murdered. A rebuilt WTC would be a demoralizing blow for the demons behind the vile act of 2001.
They should restore the original skyline, and yes, even bigger than before – the Twin Towers were functional and beautiful, and New York needs to have them again.

The Twin Towers should be re-built. They stood tall and looked amazing in the Skyline. Two holes that are put in the ground (not even how towers looked like)will not do it for me. I love Modern buildings but these looked amazing. If they cant rebuild, they have to recreate them some how.
My wife and I recently visited New York from Newfoundland, Canada, and fell in love with your beautiful city. The buildings (many of which were built by steelworkers from my province) and the people were wonderful. However, the lack of the WTC in the New York skyline saddened us deeply. Don’t give up! Rebuild the towers. Show the rest of the world how to really fight back and restore New York to its former glory. We’ll be back to visit the new Twin Towers soon!

I visited the twin towers in 2000 when I was 10, the next time I saw new york it was from the air in 2007 and its really a big shocking difference. Not rebuilding is like admitting defeat.

my wish is that one day in my live i will see them with my own eyes. now we whait till 2011

I believe that this would be the wish of those who left us, if they had a single minute to go back to this place…. how could they ever accept something else? What would they think if they saw NY without WTC?
There is nothing more respectful than rebuilding these towers. Nothing else would bring back our lost friends closer to our hearts.

Nothing would make me happier to see them resurrected – it would be the ultimate ‘f*ck you’ to the inbreeds who took part in and celebrated the original terrible act of terrorism. The Freedom Tower being built would be an insult – it is unattractive and resembles nothing to what the World Trade Centre once was. Let’s recreate the towers. Let’s make it New York again.

They defined what New York and the USA were all about.Its been a childhood dream of mine to get to the very top floor of the buildings and to look out at the beauty of New York City, and I hope that one day that dream will become a reality.

9/11 was a horrible crime, and restoring at least the architecture of what that event took away is an imperative. Giving Lower Manhattan any other shape than the pre-9/11 one, means NY will remain a metropolis shaped by mass-murderers. Mixing the word “freedom†into it all doesn’t help. It’s intolerable.
A worthy memorial is also of vital importance, for those who lost dear ones and for the people still suffering from these memories all over the USA and the rest of the world.

The only proper tribute to WTC is to build the Towers once again, standing proud as a sign of strength!
Twin towers were the symbol of America and specially to New York city and its rebuilding again, may be much taller than earlier!
