  3. This is a brilliant idea, it will be a perfect memorial for those lost and it will be there forever. I know it. We all do. This is perfect, whoever thought of it, I salute you. We need this, I may only be 12, but I know how important this is, and I want it to happen. Nothing could be better than the Twin Towers standing tall over New York again, nothing could be better than filling the skyline again, nothing could be better than seeing that we are not defeated, that we can beat terrorism. We can.

  4. I am putting forward my support for rebuilding the twin towers as oppose to building the Freedom Tower.

I’m from the UK and I feel the twin towers were a powerful symbol of New York City in much the same wasy as the Statue of Liberty is, and as the Golden Gate bridge is to San Francisco, Tower Bridge and Big Ben to London, and the Eiffel Tower to Paris.

Show the terrorists that want to destroy and kill that the free world will stand in defiance against them. Show them that by rebuilding

  5. I personally would like to see the twin towers rebuilt and with a memorial garden outside. This landmark must be put back on the map to show the terrorists that all other nations have supported this decision and to let them know they will never win their cowardly war.As a British citizen I am proud and honoured to add my signature to your petition.

  6. I recently saw the new plans for ground zero, with all the weird towers – that frankly, look totally wrong for NY, and especially for what ground zero stands for..The towers should be rebuilt with no further thought; because it’ll show the terrorists that what they did isn’t enough to destroy america.

it’ll be a slap in the face to the terrorists

  8. I think the towers should be rebuilt exactly as they were, but reinforced much like the Pentagon to withstand a similar hit. The sky’s should be guarded so that a hit is unlikely.

In the future all movies or documentaries will have the same sky line except for the blank period. Only people from a certain generation will remember why. It’ll be our responsiblility to explain why.

I’ve never even been to New York but I feel the emptiness and mourn your loss.

  9. The Twin Towers were a symbole of World Trade. They need to be rebuilt, because we should not and cannot let terrorist change the way our city skylines should look. Lets not forget all who have lost their live on that tragic day. There sould be a memorial where the world globe was standing. God Bless America!!

  10. Please Tell Everyone About this Event. The World Trade Center will never be the same unless the Twin Towers are rebuilt. Rebuilding these spectacular buildings is both practical and logical. Showing the Terrorists we will never be defeated. I’m saying all this, because, I personally never got to see these building, never mind go up them :'(. I hope the thoughts of citizen’s worldwide reach George Bush, you made one good choice on War…Now make another, by rebuilding these wonderful Buildings.

  11. Rebuilding the Twin Towers should be a priority. It will send a message to the enemies of the United States and the World at large, that we will not be bent or cowtowed or frightened by anyone, country or foreign entity. Rebuilding the Towers will be a sign of our resilience to the World. The rebuilding will be the greatest tribute and memorial to those that lost their lives. It must be done.

  13. Rebuild the WTC and give NYC back its two front teeth! They should look the same on the outside but be built to the best safety standards that modern technology can provide on the inside. Not to mention the addition of some form of escape system better than a smoke-filled stairwell. After all, the airliner and car-bomb tricks won’t work twice. The entire complex would be the best memorial possible: a sign that we will not be defeated.

  14. If you be the democratic beacon to the world, then WHY are your businessmen saying “ye shall have our Freedom Tower whether ye like it or not”? Why will you not put it to the vote, with REBUILDING your Great Twins as one of the options? Alas, for their wonder that this corporate arrogance seems to say is FOREVER gone! For what we used to think America was about, REBUILD the twins, only bigger and better. Lives cannot be brought back, but what the dead worked for and took pride in – can. Rebuild!

  15. 5 years ago right after September 11, I had the chance to come to New York and study there in Plattsburgh State University of New York. When for the first time I arrived in Manhattan I could feel the absence of Twin Towers, I felt sad and had tears in my eyes. I used to have a poster of NYC, showed Brooklyn Bridge and the magnificent twin towers behind the B Bridge. For me, if I lose something, I like to search and find the same old item, because it brings memories back, and [I don’t buy something else if I can replace what I lost.]

  16. Keep the world trade centre and the memory of the angels taken away that day alive. They might have took the person from us but they will never take their memory. I’m still in deep saddness for America, the people lost that day and their families. ANGELS LIVE ON FOREVER. I hope i will go to heaven so that i will be able to meet every single one of them.

  17. I believe the towers should be rebuilt to help America heal, but to also remind us of what can happen. I did not personally know anyone who lost their life there, but if I or one of my family members had, I would want them rebuilt as a memorial to them. Also to show terrorists…We will survive. GOD BLESS AMERICA !

  19. I think that rebuilding the twins is the right thing to do. The NY skyline will not be the same with that ugly “Freedom tower”. Especially all of us who grew up with the familiar image of NY with her twin towers will look at it with disgust if it gets build. Bring the towers back.

  20. Looking forward to get the PATH train at WTC station, in a sunday morning, to go to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church – Newark – like I used to do when living in New York, 1n 1999.

  21. I never visited New York, but one thing I was fascinated about were the twin towers! I think the twin towers were like the “trade mark” of New York. When you talked to anyone about New York, the first thing you’d visualize were the twin towers. I really think that the rebuilding is the right thing to do, to honor the victims, the families and the city! Please restore the NY skyline, not only for the US, but for the whole world!

  23. As it has been said, before the Twin Towers are a monumental part of New York history. In my opinion building one tower ruins the whole concept of “twin towers” and the only wright way to honour those that passed away on that horrible day, is to remember them and the Twin Towers, as they were: tall and proud bringing joy in every persons’ heart.

  24. I always wanted to go to the “twin towers” since I was a kid, I did it a year before 911. I believe they shuld be rebuilt again in the same way they stood before that day. Building something else would mean nothing but money spent. I would love to see the world trade center again…the way it was.

  25. Restore the New york skyline to what it was before those cowards came along. It would be a tribute to all those who died on 9/11.
