  1. It is obscene that more than four years have passed, and the wreckage of these monsters remains uncorrected. This can only be seen as a victory for their cause.

  2. I lived in NYC at the time of the Sept. 11 attacks and for over three years afterward. I would like nothing more than to see the towers rise again, in defiance of our enemies and in pride for America.

  4. Whenever America is faced with adversity, we rise up and conquer it. Let’s rebuild the Towers to be bigger and better than before!!

  5. Rebuild, yes, as a memorial to the victims who died there, and as a stab to the heart of those who rejoiced in this evil.

But rebuild the same? We must look back, but we should also look forward. The new towers should be awe-inspiring.

  6. I was born in NYC and live now in Virginia. When I made a trip to NYC in November 2005 I refused to peer into that pit in the ground…I will not visit that site until the towers (or something better)are put back! I will not pay homage to carnage!

  7. Not rebuilding is a surrender to the terroists. What better way to show the American spirit than to rebuild the Twin Towers at least a few floors taller than it was before.

  8. There would be only ONE reason to not rebuild it as it was, and that would be to build it bigger and better!

What has been proposed so far is a travesty.

  9. It’s imperative that The Towers be rebuild as they were, not only as a tribute to those that perished but, as a symbol that We as Americans will NOT be swayed in our resolve to prevail and replace, if we have the power to do so, the things that are part of our national fabric and pride. The World Trade Center Twin Towers was such a ‘thing’. Don’t let the terrorists succeed…place the Towers as they were…

  10. Please replace the towers that were destroyed with the same towers that both people in the city and the entire country deserve!

  11. The Twin Towers have always symbolized NY and the great American spirit. To look into the NY sky and not see the beautiful towers anymore hurts. Americans have always been proud of accomplishing what seems to be impossible and in a grand manner. Our Twin Towers were exactly that. It’s time to rebuild the new grander Twin Towers in memory of the originals.
