I would give ANYTHING to see the Twin Towers rebuilt. That in itself would give not only myself great joy, but others around the world who adored those towers great joy to see them standing again, in all of their glory.
The Twin Towers were a huge part of my life. I witnessed my parents renew their vows on the South Tower’s roof. We celebrated my grandmother’s 80th birthday in the Windows on the World restaurant. So many memories were made there.
Please, rebuild the Twin Towers. It would mean a lot to not only myself, but to everyone.

The Freedom Tower is a sign that we as Americans have been defeated because of terrorism. Some people say that it is not a good idea to rebuild the Twin Towers because so many people died on 9/11 but that is no excuse for building the Freedom Tower. I thought it was a no doubter about getting the twin towers rebuilt at first. Building a new tower after 9-11 never crossed my mind since I never thought some egg headed architect would plan something different because of some terrorists who decided to ruin them. At the time, I was eight years old and never actually saw those towers before. The only thing I saw was black smoke floating over the Empire State Building on September 14 of 2001. I never knew how much power a group of aliens, from Al Qaeda, could have over the USA until THE FREEDOM TOWER PLAN was decided. 93% of the people do not choose to pay tax fair dollars for the freedom tower to get built; they chose to pay tax fair dollars for the less expensive Twins. I’m one of the 93% who will no longer respect the New York’s skyline if I don’t see the Twin towers back. Since the terrorist found the Twins worth destroying, that makes it more obvious that they’re more than worth rebuilding. And since when do people who are no longer alive get looked up at the spot they’ve been killed at? That’s highly disrespectful. Not only is that memorial taking up too much space on that small island, but it also keeps people living in the past of 9-11. If they really wanted to move on, the architect designer would have restored New York’s icon at ground zero where they were originally built. That memorial idea is dejecting enough so metaphorically speaking, why build a giant glass obelisk tomb stone as the replacement of two beautiful buildings that symbolized a peaceful message? The Freedom tower is an embarrassment to New York and I’d bet most of America would agree with me on that. Why? Because it’s basically just a large piece of glass that represents a huge middle finger to what New York wants. It resembles a big shiny obelisk and at that, it’s being built right next to that inaccurate memorial. When you put it all together, it looks miserable, depressing, and stupid! The Freedom Tower would be like a giant terrorist trophy being built because they will be victorious if we don’t get our twin towers back. The people who say “The Twin towers would just get hit again†are not using their brains. 1st of all, Terrorists would hit any building they want. It’s not like they have some kind of vendetta against Twin sky scrapers. They went after the twin towers because they meant, and were, a lot to us. 2nd of all, everyone is well aware of possible terrorism, and is prepared for any attack. 3rd, no airline is going to allow that to ever happen again in many ways, nobody on the airplane will allow any imposture pilots to control the planes, and we have more advanced technology than before. Even if they did get hit again, I bet they wouldn’t collapse. The Twin towers were being made in 1966. I’m sure what they’d use, in this century, will have them much more fortified than before, and with heavier steel. Just check out the emergency plan made if there were new Twin towers. These reasons are why the people who are going through with the freedom tower plan should really stop building it. It really sucks when the person, who is in charge of our decisions, has a different idea than the high quantity of us, who isn’t in charge. I miss the towers. I live in chicago and yet i loved those two towers more than any other. What is happening with the trade center just isn’t right. I’m 14 and i know this better than the governments. Makes me sick. Build them back for the sake of those lost and those who never got to see the trade center themselves, it’s the right thing to do.

The new World Trade Center design is out of place, and changes the skyline of the city so much that it is almost like a scar. We must rebuild, and make the towers stronger, safer, and taller. I’ve wanted to learn as much as I can about the marvelous structures and their short, sad 29 year life span before the worst day in American history. If the Government decided to build two Freedom Towers next to each other instead of one, it would not only be nice but it would show how strong America is and how we are to recover from a devastating attack that killed nearly 3,000 innocent people. I hope that when Tower 1 is rebuilt and up past the Empire State building, people will come together and rally and demand that a second building of the same height is to be built.

I was going to visit the World Trade Center the weekend before the terrorist attacks in 2001. Unfortunately, my father had to work, so we couldn’t go. A few days later, the World Trade Center was gone. I would have loved to see them in person as my mother had, but hopefully, our voices will be heard and the towers will rise once again!

I always loved the World Trade Center. When I was young, I remember seeing a commercial with an Olympic athlete jumping over a pole between the tops of the towers. I never got to see them in person.

I was 4 years old on 9/11. But i still remember watching my family cry as those towers came down. At that time I did not understand what was happening. But as I grew older I fell in love with the towers. They were magnificent buildings, and it makes me really sad how I never got a chance to see them in person. I think the new WTC is a joke. Typical politicians only thinking about what they want. The freedom tower and the memorial are nice, but towers 2 and 3 are hideous. We should rebuild the twin towers in their place. With both the freedom tower and the new twin towers, we would be honoring the past, and building for the future.
I never got to see the original towers in person so I would like to see them again rebuilt. I really hope the trade center is rebuilt on the sites of buildings 2 and 3 in the freedom tower complex. Even If they cannot be built at ground zero, there are ways of building them somewhere else in the city. I suggested that they do what they did when they built Battery Park and the World Financial Center and create more land for construction. This could lead to hope for the project. Best of luck to you all and I hope they will be built to see the 20th anniversary of the attacks on that terrible morning.
