  1. I believe that the towers must be made exactly how they once were, to show that even in the face of sheer devastation the American resolve can shine through as bright as ever. And freedom tower? pffft.. Bring back the glorious momuments to the glorious city of New York.

  3. I moved to Battery Park City from Los Angeles after 9/11 just so that I could be a part of the rebuilding after a devastation, even if it were to buy a bottle of water from the local businesses. I stayed there for 4 years only to have nothing built, (except for WT #7, which belongs to leaseholder). I think we should build the towers back and even a third one too! Do it even better than before, the TRUE American way! Let’s see even a better skyline than before!

  4. I once came across a picture of the twin towers in a Soviet published atlas circa 1979. Amazing, those buildings were a respected by our friends and enemies alike.

We cannot allow the terrorists to determine our skyline. We must rebuild one of the enduring symbols of America.

  5. I really hope that the design changes, I have lived in Manhattan my entire life and miss those two glorious towers, and definitely do not want to see the “Freedom Tower” when I get up in the morning. The name I could care less about, it is just the design that really bothers me, to me it doesn’t blend in with the rich, classic history of what is the great city of New York.

  6. I live on rector place just 3 blocks from ground zero and I think they should rebuild the way it was. The skyline doesnt look like new york without the towers and it never will if they build this new, bizarre complex.
    Thanks,

  7. Yes, we need our twin towers back…but can’t we do better than the design proposed here?

TTA Note: The beauty of the Twin Towers II plan is that it is structurally ready to build and to surpass the current site plan. That is the most critical element, since this is nothing but a political problem and a political solution is only possible because there is a full-fledged plan ready to construct that would meet the most important imperative: restoring the skyline. The cosmetics of the design are open and responsive to public opinion — that is not something that would create delay.

  8. Please Rebuild!! I wish to wake up and see those Towers outside my window again! Twin Towers II by Kenneth Gardner is the BEST!

  9. I agree that the replacement should include twin towers. I worked in the original WTC Tower II and loved that building.

  10. Build both of them back! either the way they were, or even taller, same outside design, bottom floors make the WTC Memorial, and upgraded and hi-tech and technologically advanced! Bring back the nyc skyline, the symbol of NYC, the symbol of America, America’s international image to the world, and the symbol of freedom.

  11. Returning to NYC after 9/11 was … incredible. Enough to leave anyone speechless. Never before or since have I heard Manhattan silent. Rebuilding the towers is the only option that should be considered. The New York skyline will be a source of pain for anyone who was there regardless of what is built, the most important consideration is that America stand back up – tall and strong.

  12. Bring the towers back! The Freedom Tower project is a disaster- scrap it and do what makes sense. Twin Towers are an American Icon!!

  14. The Twin Towers (WTC) have to be rebuilt because they represent NY. New York will never be the same without the Twin Towers. REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS!!! The majority wants the Twin Towers back, stronger, taller & safer!!!

  15. I HATE THE FREEDOM TOWER. The one thing I have to say about the WTC Site now:

I don’t want to see the hole in the ground, nor the skeleton in the sky.

  16. Twin Towers II is beautiful and it’s the right thing to do! Rebuild! Why not?!? The Freedom Tower is disgusting down to the last detail and we all hate it! I can’t believe we have to pay for it through taxes. I would happily pay for TWIN TOWERS II! Rebuild, don’t replace.

  17. Please. We need the twin towers back rather then the new ones in progress. I believe that only the twin towers are the right buildings for ground zero and New York. They shouldn’t be replaced I’m sure those that died in the attack feel the same way.

  18. Rebuild them, New York isnt the same with just the Empire State building =/

Thats like blowing up the Sears Tower in Chicago and leaving you to live with just the John Hancock building!

  19. The Twin Towers were the very heart of New York City and nothing will ever replace what was lost on 9/11! The new Freedom Tower that is being built at ground zero is an insult to the people who lost families, friends, or loved ones on 9/11! What is happening at ground zero is a rank abuse! The port authority doesn’t own anything at ground zero! The people are the ones to decide what they want built at the World Trade Center site!

  20. Born and growing up in New York as a child I’ve always admired the Twin Towers. Being 12 years old at the time and walking by the World Trade Center I told my mother ”WOW!!! Those two buildings are beautiful and so tall” My mother was like ”Yeah but so is the Empire State Building” And I responded ”Yeah I know but these 2 twin buildings are amazing”… Never in my wildest dreams would I would ever thought that the Twin Towers were gonna be struck down. I used to go to school only 2 blocks away from the Twin Towers so looking at these 2 amazing buildings became a habit for me and even I was distanced away from them. I was and am one of those New Yorkers that agreed that the Twin Towers should be rebuilt again stronger and
