When I was a kid and got knocked down in a fight, every time I got back up again, the concern on the face of my opponent was clearly visible. Expecting to have won the fight, he became somewhat unnerved every time I got back up to look him in the eye. There were a few times when I got my butt kicked but I never lost a fight.

I agree that the Twin Towers should be rebuilt as they were (only stronger) to show those who are out to kill us, that though they may kill some of us, they cannot kill our spirit.
The Statue of Liberty is the "Welcome" to our country, but the Twin Towers is the Inspiration. Rebuilding them is the ONLY WAY to show other countries that the USA is the best country in the world. Stop being stupid and rebuild them exactly the same.

Rebuilding as it was and maybe even a bit taller is the only response that is acceptable to show the world that the United States does not cower to terrorism.

As a former Weehauken Resident, I used to awake every morning to the site of the towers. I moved away in 2000 and have not been back because of the heartbreak of the signt of them not being there. Rebuild is the only option.

Putting the Twin Towers back exactly the way they were is the best way to show the world that we will not be defeated, we will not be intimidated and we always rise above our challenges.
It's outrageous that the Twin Towers are not being rebuilt! I personally prefer Donald Trump's plan. The towers can be built on different footprints and with a suitable memorial to those that died on 9/11/2001, using the latest technology for safety and security. They can also each be built at least 1 story taller, to symbolize our triumph over terrorism. Politicians should ALWAYS be our servants, rather than our masters.
Soon it will have been six years since the jihadists struck the continental United States. The Freedom Tower design is a ridiculous abdication of our collective duty to honor the losses and sacrifices we saw on that clear September day. Rebuild the towers - each a foot taller. Indeed, the Twin Towers were, and are iconic. In a lot of ways, they are part of America, our America, that will not soon be replaced, but will stand back up when knocked down. Let us not be 'reborn' as something different, but come back as something proud and proven, something more like the best nation in the world.

Rebuilding the Twin Towers as they were, would send a message to all Americans and to the world. The Twin Towers were a symbol for all of us and aided
America in representing strength, courage and freedom. If you built the Twin Towers as they were, thousands of people will flock to see them. Should you decide to build the "Freedom Tower" it will fail because nothing belongs on that land except the Twin Towers. That land is sacred and symbolic to us Americans and the world.
