I want my towers back!!
On September 11, 2011 our innocence was stolen. We had friends lives cut short, moms and dads did not come home for dinner, brothers and sisters didn't return calls, sons and daughters won't see their lives played out. We now walk into airports looking for the unknown and yet not truly knowing what to look for anymore. But... we are Americans! We have all come to this country - every single one of us - to escape tyranny from somewhere. You do not live in this country unless you or a relative of yours many generations ago stepped up and took initiative - chased a dream! Now we here are rolling over to a couple of idiots that hated freedom?! We are Americans!! We don't roll over!! We step up and fight!! And now it is time to show the rest
I lost family i was only 5 please rebuild these two EPIC towers and make them the tallest in the world again.
TTA Note: NYC airspace restrictions would prevent them from being the tallest, but the tallest and the greatest are not the same thing. They would easily be the greatest and retain that title.

I am 15 and when i was 10 i got love with the twin towers. when i was a kid i always wanted to go to New York and visit them lets bring back AMERICA by building them back.
I was going to visit the World Trade Center the weekend before the terrorist attacks in 2001. Unfortunately, my father had to work, so we couldn't go. A few days later, the World Trade Center was gone. I would have loved to see them in person as my mother had, but hopefully, our voices will be heard and the towers will rise once again!
People should have the right to choose how we sbould be proud of ourselves.
I was just 7 years old back in 2001 when the original towers were destroyed. I've watched so many home videos of the original towers. They were such gorgeous buildings. I've wanted to learn as much as I can about the marvelous structures and their short, sad 29 year life span before the worst day in American history. If the Government decided to build two Freedom Towers next to each other instead of one, it would not only be nice but it would show how strong America is and how we are to recover from a devastating attack that killed nearly 3,000 innocent people. I hope that when Tower 1 is rebuilt and up past the Empire State building, people will come together and rally and demand that a second building of the same height is to be built.
TTA Note: Twin Freedom Towers is a solution that would probably please most people, but there is no way to twin another building to the Freedom Tower because of the location of the memorial, the hub, the subways and the various interdependent systems. But there are other options that could and should be considered and will be circulated soon.
Freedom Tower is so ugly it looks like a Hotel not a Tower!
my uncle was at the world trade center the day of the attack. my uncle was a sheriff and tried to save as many people as he could.
The Twin Towers were symbolic to not only Americans but everyone who visited. Rebuilding them the way they were would prove that America has recovered and will not back down to terrorist threats. The new World Trade Center design is out of place, and changes the skyline of the city so much that it is almost like a scar. We must rebuild, and make the towers stronger, safer, and taller. It's what America wants.
I would like a back twin towers, because this is great building. I was on wtc in 1999 year, this building was economic center in New York and all America. Please back a twin towers. Thanks for reading!
I think the WTC should be rebuilt again. When 9/11 happend, I was only a little kid, but now, 11 years later I have collected info about the WTC and 9/11 itself ever since I was 10. A year ago I have set myself 10 goals that I have to have done before I die. One of them was to do everything I can possibly do to help rebuild the WTC so that I can go up there. And I found this website and I hope that a ton of people participate so we can have the twin towers back! Never forget, Never surrender!
I surveyed many people and 98% of all want the twin towers back. so bring back our towers.
The World Trade Center should be rebuilt, stronger, taller and safer. The Freedom Tower is not good enough to close that wound, by rebuilding the World Trade Center we show that we are strong Americans. When I was a kid I always wanted to visit The Twin Towers, unfortunately I never got to do that. We need our Twin Towers back! That is my dream.
I want to see the buildings like they were before 9/11. I won't like this desgin of the freedom tower because it dosen't support america, but the twin towers do. I would like to see them up close and remember who died in 9/11.
I was only two when the Twin Towers collapsed. Although I was so young, I can still remember parts of that horrifying day. I was standing in our living room next to my mom. I some how remember watching them as they fell.
Recently, on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 I became more interested in these breathtaking towers. I often thought about what it would be like if they still were here today. I wish they were never taken from us. That is why I am signing this petition. I believe that these towers should be rebuilt because they represent the true American spirit that we all have in our hearts. The Twin Towers embodied that we are a strong people that when ever something comes to our mind we act on it.People may say they are only towers, but t
The Twin Towers must be rebuilt. It's the right thing to do.
TTA Note: The following comment is similar to what we have been asked so often by idealistic, young people. We may never understand what motivated a few officials and civic leaders to sell our country short with a recovery that doesn't measure up in any way to what we lost -- when restoring the cherished skyline, in fact instead of fiction, would have inspired the world. Now, after spending seven years working to get to the bottom of it, we don't know "why" -- but what we know for sure is "who", "what", "how", and "why not". It is a convincing case of wrongdoing that will be presented on the site asap.
I was not old enough to see the towers, they were destroyed when i was in kindergarden. I always wondered what happened to the two huge towers in lower manhattan. Since then i have always seen pictures and videos of what it used to be like in NYC. There was this undeniable vibe to NYC that i could not get over. From what ive seen and heard, manhattan was a different world before 9/11. It's hard to describe and this may sound crazy but it was like new york was like a magical place to be, and it represented what america's true motives represented. From a far view the towers looked like the center of the world as they touched the skyline of manhattan. I would do everything in my power to get mayor bloomberg to rebuild them, but honestly i dont know what as citizens what we are supposed to do to help the campaign and rebuild. I would do everything in my power to have those towers rebuilt, but the memorial has already been placed and they are already creating the new world trade center along with the museum. I do not like the freedom tower at all. I think it insults the people of new york and lower manhattan and what the world used to look up to. Instead of the real world trade center, which new yorkers and nj citizens want, they built some "modern" crap in my opinion. I still dont understand why mayor bloomberg wanted to not rebuild the towers. From what i've seen 9/11 families would like to see them in the skyline again. Help me understand.
They are needed. Raise them up again.
I would like will return the world trade center, because New York lost great bulding.
i think it would be amazing to see the towers rebuilt stronger and better, i dont see why they didnt choose this option as 80% of people wanted this, so building a different building only 20% want isnt good. Twin Towers II all the way it would help people more to Rebuild them stronger and better
The Twin Ttowers are unreplacable. Those towers were like the most famous buildings ever. It would be nice to make the twins look a little bit newer, and taller, but to replace them just because they got knocked down? Not a good idea. Some things just aren't suppose to change no matter how old they are, especially not the Twin Towers. I know it would take alot of work to rebuild them, but it's more than worth it. Building the Twin Towers is a big goal that America can and has to accomplish. Team Rebuild!
Rebuld-stronger-higher-the best.
Make America America again.
It would be really nice to rebuild the towers, if only to show America's resilience. I think that the new World Trade Center 1 ("Freedom Tower") is a beautiful building in its own right and we should be proud of the work that construction crews are doing on it now. It is certainly a proud achievement. But rebuilding the towers would send a message to the world that America is resilient and will not back down when others try to push it down. They say you "can't go home again" and no one should feel we are bringing back the Towers. We can no more do that than to bring back the nearly three thousand innocent souls who perished that tragic day. But what we can, and I believe must, do is to show to the world that we are intrepid people.
TTA Note: We make it clear that we are not advocating for 40-year-old towers, but for a 236-year-old system of self-government. More important than showing the world that we are an intrepid people is showing ourselves that we honor our country's values. The problem with the "Freedom Tower" is that it is an affront to the democratic process. It was conceived and hatched with no regard for the will of the people and is only visible because for ten years, every step of the way, the public has been lied to. And construction workers were lied to. Buildings are built every day. Building a building that represents the polar opposite of what it claims to stand for is not noble -- it is a terrible disservice -- not on the part of idealistic and dedicated workers, but on the part of the agency and officials who subverted the recovery most of the country wanted and deserved -- and was paying for. What good is it to be intrepid if we are deluded?
I miss the towers. I live in chicago and yet i loved those two towers more than any other. What is happening with the trade center just isn't right. I'm 14 and i know this better than the governments. Makes me sick. Build them back for the sake of those lost and those who never got to see the trade center themselves, it's the right thing to do.

I thought it was a no doubter about getting the twin towers rebuilt at first. Building a new tower after 9-11 never crossed my mind since I never thought some egg headed architect would plan something different because of some terrorists who decided to ruin them. At the time, I was eight years old and never actually saw those towers before. The only thing I saw was black smoke floating over the Empire State Building on September 14 of 2001. I never knew how much power a group of aliens, from Al Qaeda, could have over the USA until THE FREEDOM TOWER PLAN was decided. 93% of the people do not choose to pay tax fair dollars for the freedom tower to get built; they chose to pay tax fair dollars for the less expensive Twins. I'm one of the 93% who will no longer respect the Network’s skyline if I don't see the Twin towers back. Since the terrorist found the Twins worth destroying, that makes it more obvious that they're more than worth rebuilding. And since when do people who are no longer alive get looked up at the spot they've been killed at? That’s highly disrespectful. Not only is that memorial taking up too much space on that small island, but it also keeps people living in the past of 9-11. If they really wanted to move on, the architect designer would have restored New York's icon at ground zero where they were originally built. That memorial idea is dejecting enough so metaphorically speaking, why build a giant glass obelisk tomb stone as the replacement of two beautiful buildings that symbolized a peaceful message? The Freedom tower is an embarrassment to New York and I'd bet most of America would agree with me on that. Why? Because it's basically just a large piece of glass that represents a huge middle finger to what New York wants. It resembles a big shiny obelisk and at that, it's being built right next to that inaccurate memorial. When you put it all together, it looks miserable, depressing, and stupid! The Freedom Tower would be like a giant terrorist trophy being built because they will be victorious if we don't get our twin towers back. The people who say "The Twin towers would just get hit again†are not using their brains. 1st of all, Terrorist would hit any building they want. It's not like they have some kind of vendetta against Twin sky scrapers. They went after the twin towers because they meant, and were, a lot to us. 2nd of all, everyone is well aware of possible terrorism, and is prepared for any attack. 3rd, no airline is going to allow that to ever happen again in many ways, nobody on the airplane will allow any imposture pilots to control the planes, and we have more advanced technology than before. Even if they did get hit again, I bet they wouldn't collapse. The Twin towers were being made in 1966. I'm sure what they'd use, in this century, will have them much more fortified than before, and with heavier steal. Just check out the emergency plan made if there were new Twin towers. These reasons are why the people who are going through with the freedom tower plan should really stop building it. This is proving my personal quote correct. "It really sucks when the person, who is in charge of our decisions, has a different idea than the high quantity of us, who isn’t in charge." … If it truly was the terrorist who planned the attack, and 93% of America would rather the twin towers built, they would have started building The Twin Towers a long time ago. Just like how the majority of America decides on who becomes our president. Thank you for reading.-->

I think rebuilding the world trade center is the best way to make america, america again. With its buildings, structures and towers the twin towers beat all of the towers in the world. The freedom tower is just stupid because why just freedom tower? We all need the freedom towers. All the people lost on 9/11 need something back and that is to rebuild the Twin Towers. New York is New York because of its towers, but it's not New York now. Why? Because there's a huge hole in it. It's not New York with a hole in it.
I could never go to see and visit the twin towers
🙁 R.I.P.
REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS !!!
The Freedom Tower is a sign that we as Americans have been defeated because of terrorism. Some people say that it is not a good idea to rebuild the Twin Towers because so many people died on 9/11 but that is no excuse for building the Freedom Tower. The Twin Towers are the only true recovery for this country. We are letting the terrorists win by not rebuilding the Twin Towers.
Please rebuild the towers.
I first commented back in Dec 2010, now I have just returned to Sydney after spending the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in the Big Apple. I'm sorry, but the new Freedom Tower left me cold and wondering - how much more pride would those fine Iron Workers feel, if they were re-building the Twin Towers instead?. Like I said before, that freedom building is okay, but it does not have ICON potential and could be from any other city on earth. To us here in Sydney, the Twin Towers were not only an icon of New York, they were an icon of the United States of America......and the free world.
TTA Note: Thank you. It would be hard to imagine a more positive testimony. The system will catch duplicate comments when the second one from the same email address is validated, but it moves the new one to the original date -- and we want to keep this where it will be seen -- so we removed the earlier one manually. It read: "The freedom tower is great... but it could be from ANY city in the world. The Twin Towers were one of the icons of New York City. If terrorists knocked down the Statue of Liberty, would you replace it with a giant Mickey Mouse? of course not. Then why is the freedom tower even a consideration? REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS and return this missing symbol of NYC to the people of the FREE WORLD."
I believe that restoring Twin Towers will raise the spirits, will help people to believe in freedom, believe in our ability to fight against terrorists and people who try to persuade us that our life doesnt belong to us and that they can tell us what to do. I believe we are stronger. And i believe restoring twin Towers could be a great symbol of that. They cant crush us, we will always win. Cause we are right!
I would give ANYTHING to see the Twin Towers rebuilt. That in itself would give not only myself great joy, but others around the world who adored those towers great joy to see them standing again, in all of their glory.
The Twin Towers were a huge part of my life. I witnessed my parents renew their vows on the South Tower's roof. We celebrated my grandmother's 80th birthday in the Windows on the World restaurant. So many memories were made there.
Please, rebuild the Twin Towers. It would mean a lot to not only myself, but to everyone.
Thank you, and God bless.
Recursion!
They were the symbol of NY, they should be rebuilt to restore the spirit of the city.
It should be restored - it's one of the most well known american symbols.
Its just need make.
As much as I loved the original Twin Towers and despise the current "rebuilding" plan, there's not much we can do at this point. Towers 1 & 4 are on their way to completion with 2 & 3 slowly following. Even if we were somehow able to stop the current plan, which is highly unlikely, there would be no place to build new twins because the layout doesn't fit it considering the memorial is finished. We would then have to demolish the site and start from scratch, taking another 10+ years to build. The Twin Towers were icons and symbols of New York City and I know I will miss them terribly. It's always great to be optimistic but sometimes we have to be realistic and accept the fact that we can't always change everything. It's sad, but true.
TTA Note: This is a petition, not a bulletin board, for those who agree with the petition's purpose. But we will not remove the signature or comment since he loved the Twin Towers and despises the current plan. The fact that he has been misinformed makes him one of millions who are drawing faulty conclusions about what is and isn't feasible and would love to be proved wrong. Anyone who spends time on this site should be able to see that we are not fools and only a fool would continue, if the scenario he presents above were true. It is not. That will become explicitly clear.
Hell yeah rebuild the Twin Towers I wasn't old enough to understand what was going on but now I'm old enough SO REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally think the towers would be a sign that we won and can stand back up after a loss, and would be the greatest memorial!
