New York just isn't the same without the twins. Sure there is the two fountain memorial, battery park, and the statue of liberty. However what else does lower manhattan have? It use to have a two 110 story city within a city complex. A destination for business and pleasure that served as a symbol of New York since 1970/1971. They need to be rebuilt... no they must be rebuilt. It's been my dream for a long time... to stand in Austin J. Tobin plaza and look straight up at just the sheer size of those beautiful buildings. To this day... that dream goes unfulfilled. The freedom tower just does not have the same beauty the twins had. The twins were Iconic... that in of itself should be enough to bring them back. Oh America... bring back my twins!

I LOST A FEW FRIENDS IN THE TOWERS ON THAT TERRIBLE MORNING OF 911. I believe that the towers should be rebuilt again, and stand majestically over NYC. It would be in great respect to the fallen heroes and fellow country men of freedom that we lost tragically on that day. It would show the world that all hopes for peace and freedom will never be removed from our hearts and souls. That the American's who perished are not forgotten and their deaths are not in vain. I believe that the new towers would represent that we are a strong nation, that can rebuild itself stronger and rise up again after it has fallen. That we Americans can be reborn from the ashes like a phoenix. That we also can recover from our loss and pain, and show the ones responsib

Now the Freedom Tower is 92 stories up. I will still go to New York City but I will never again visit Lower Manhattan because I hate the new complex. I can go any where else in New York such as Times Square, Central Park, or Coney Island but I will never visit Ground Zero.

I'm a Filipino American and when my mom first came her she went to NY and took a picture of her self next to the biggest towers in America. REBUILD! MAKE NY NY AGAIN! America=Best country on Earth. We can do anything.

Born and raised in Orange, N.J. I've been to New York City countless times. And the only landmark in New York that brought attention towards my eyes is the good old Twin Towers! Like some or many people who haven’t visited these great structures, I am one of them! I’ve only seen them at a far distance and have been up close to them, but never got to be in them to admire their great beauty of interior design! It saddens and dissappoints me that The Port Authority, The Governor and Mayor of New York ignored and never took into consideration that many of us wanted the Twin Towers rebuilt! If this Petition works in getting what we all wanted, that should’ve been done the last 10 years! Then I would be very happy and very pleased man!

I love all aspects of architecture and the twin towers were one of my biggest loves. I never had the chance to see them in person but if rebuilt I will at least be able to see their legacy live on.

I cant tell you how much it would mean to me to see those towers go back up. i know so many people who did not make it, and New York City has never been the same for me. every person i have talked to agrees with me that those towers belong in NYC's skyline. i will never forget what i saw that day, and to have those towers back would mean the world.

I was 9 on 9/11. I keep photos of the Twin Towers in various places, like the cover of my college journal, a giant poster in my bedroom etc, to inspire me to always do and be my best, because, to me, the World Trade Center signified and still signifies greatness, and also how short life can be and how we have to make the most of it. I can only imagine how much more inspiring the Twin Towers would be if they were back with all of us. All Goal, No Fear.

Rebuilding the Twin Towers would be the ultimate "F*** you!" to the terrorists!! It`s practically like saying, "You may have scored a major blow to us, but we recovered and are back better than ever!!"

Please bring back the Twins to New York. New York is not New York without the towers. They were and are an icon on the skyline of New York. Freedom tower and other buildings will never become icons. Towers were the power freedom and liberty of America. Since 2001 they became more. I think the real weekness is not rebuild them. America must show the terrorists they will never win no matter what buildings they destroy. Twin Towers II would be stornger and higher and would show the world the terrorists can never destroy an icon. Freedom tower not show this because it is a symple building without own history. Maybe Freedom tower would be a great building somewhere but not here.

Okay, sure, maybe the new towers are nice, but they will never be as good as the twin towers. The twin towers stood with passion, beauty, and glory. Please, listen to the american people, rebuild the towers stronger, to resist an attack. For the ones who have perished in those towers, and people all over the world, show that America is strong and are not chickens afraid of another attack. Show the true side of america. Show that we are stronger. Remember, what kills us only makes us stronger.

im only 15 years old but i know what america is about and what the word god means, both of those things were in the construction of the twin towers when they were first built in the late 60s early 70s, the twin towers need to be put up again to make not only new york new york again but to make america america again. i loved seeing the twin towers in the late 90s when i was around 4 years old during christmas time. it would be the best christmas present ever to know they will be built again with the right memorial.

The World Trade Center should be put back up. There is still time to put them up. I think Donald Trump is right they should build them bigger, stronger, taller and better. That day was a horrible day. Thank you, Jordan West

I am in favour of rebuilding the Twin Towers. I like the new 1 WTC however the Twin Towers should be rebuilt and surpass the Freedom Tower. The Twin Towers showed everything America was, great, united and powerful in many aspects. The Freedom Tower represents America's resilience against any attack no matter how devastating. Rebuilding the Twin Towers would be the ultimate memorial honouring those who gave their lives to save others and ordinary, innocent workers who perished in the tragic events of 9/11. America is the most powerful nation in the world so why let a minority ruin that and show them what America is really about and win by rebuilding those magnificent towers, this time stronger and taller to once again be the greatest buildings

I am very upset that the Port Authority is starting phony towers 2 and 3 and refusing to rebuild the Twin Towers. On that dark day known as September 11, 2001, I knew that the Twin Towers should be rebuilt, it was obvious and a no brainer. I suspect that a swindle is going on, the Port Authority is using public property to do what they want with their private interests. This is a case in which capitalism is trumping democracy. Most people worldwide want the twn towers rebuilt, and democracy is 1 person equals 1 vote. I am heartbroken that I never got a chance to visit the Twin Towers because one of the things that I wanted to do was go up on the roof of the South Tower.

I have lived for 5 years in NY state when I was younger and went visiting the Twin Towers Observation Deck around 1980 for the 1st time, and 1990 for the last time. In 2001, like every cityzens around the World, I was shocked by the tragedy of September 11th, but also shocked by NY politicians arrogance toward the rebuilding of the WTC, especially Silverstein and Bloomberg, they are the same as the one who is leading the country where I live.

I have returned twice in NY since 2001, but something is deeply missing in Manhattan and I thought it would be rebuild as it use to be before 2001. NY deserves much better then this horrific Freedom Tower, the Ken Gardner project is absolutely fabulous, it must become reality.

Best regards from France.

When I was little boy, I ALWAYS wanted to go to New York and see The World Trade Center. The only time I've been to New York was in 2006 and of course they weren't there anymore. This "Freedom Tower" just doesn't look anything like the World Trade Center and it was a waste of time and money. I really want the Twin Towers rebuilt! It would hurt me to my heart if they never get rebuilt. They're more things than just the two tallest buildings ever built, but they're a monument in the United States that every American or non-American couldn't resist to tour whenever they got to New York. I hope one day my dream will come true so I can go to New York and see the Twin Towers!

I was only 6 when 9/11 happened, and my only memory of the twin towers was watching them fall on tv. Please rebuild them so my generation can enjoy the twin towers.

I was only three years old when the Towers fell, but I'll never forget them. In recent months, I have been extremely interested in the Twin Towers movement and I am glad to say I found this site and support it fully. Everytime I visit NYC I see them standing proud and tall, and while the Freedom Tower is beautiful, it is not the World Trade Center. It will always be the Twin Towers. When I was a year old, my parents took me to the top of the South Tower on the observation deck and my dad went there often for business meetings and confrences. He wants them back, as do many of my friends and family. Don't let this be the end of the Twin Towers! There are millions of us "9/11" generation who deserve to finally witness their majesty!

It's such a scandal and a shame that they are building this stupid Freedom Tower that it is not even called by that name anymore. It's just named 'One World Trade Center' and that's a big disgrace. Not only from Mayor Bloomberg but also from ex-governor Pataki and Mr. Silverstein and all the other people who supported it.

This New WTC complex with their stupid One World Trade Center is a big embarrasment not only to the Great People of America but to the whole world and to our future offsprings. Even here in Holland people are thinking it's a joke about the new WTC with how long it took to start to rebuild and with what they are building right now.

REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS!!!! 🙂 that's the only and right thing to do.

We must remember that the terrorist attacks of
September 11th, 2001, were on the World Trade
Center Twin Towers not the "American" Trade
Center Twin Towers. These towers belong to the
world. They symbolize world civilization and
commerce. It was not only an attack on America,
it was an attack on civilization itself. Their
new One World Trade Center tower monstrosity
and Memorial are monuments in fear and loss not
in strength and pride. They symbolize cowering
in fear and wallowing in sadness and grief.
These Twin Towers belong to us and the world.
Rebuild our pride. Rebuild our strength.
Rebuild our morale. Rebuild our civilization.

REBUILD OUR TWIN TOWERS!

It's been 10 years now and a couple of days ago I imagined that as those that perished lived their last moments many of them must have thought, "rebuild".
Bin Laden was found and killed. Hussein was defeated, found, tried and hung. Gaddafi met his fate.

Build an active and living memorial dedicated to the people that were working at the time of their death by rebuilding.

TTA Note: The comment that followed this one was deleted, like the ones before it, because it signed up with a non-existent email address. That doesn't help this cause. There is no point in doing that.

I like the Freedom Tower and think it's a nice building, but it doesn't replace the Twin Towers. There's nothing wrong with a memorial, but they don't need to plant trees all across the site. The museum is okay too, but they got a little carried away. I think we should have a memorial, but I think it would be even more honoring to the victims to rebuild the towers. The Freedom Tower is also nice, but they should build the Twin Towers as well. They could build the Twin Towers next to them. This might sound ideal, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. The NYC government will not listen to what you say, so they will end up giving the terrorists the satisfaction that they can change the city's skyline forever. They need to rebuild the twin towers.

I never had a chance to visit the towers despite living in new york I might have been very young at the time but the attack on 9/11 left me scared and empty and I strongly believe that rebuilding them as they were would bring an overwhelming relief and healing to everyone left shattered after that day.
