i was born in 1993 so i was just a kid when i saw the twin towers for the first time. Every time my father and i passed those legendary towers, i would ask my dad if i can go up there. He always told me we would, but i never did. 8 yrs old i still remember that day. The day i accepted i would never see them again. But i wish we could rebuild them so i can finally see them and go to the top floor as i wanted when i was just a kid.

I was only 6 years old when the twin towers were destroyed. I barely remembered them and knew nothing about their significance. In the past 10 years I have learned much of the legendary towers that were taken away from us and the 3000 lives that were too. I believe the only way to restore New York and the heart of America is to rebuild the World Trade Center exactly the way it was, but stronger, safer, and taller. They have the resources and money and in today's age it would be a piece of cake. If we rebuild the towers back the way they were it would show that we won and the terrorists lost.

I visited New York on 2008. Obviously, I was late. A very important part of New York was missing. Please, return New York's original Skyline.

I visited NYC for the first time last week. I went to the WTC site and it was incredibly disheartening. There wasn't anything to see, nine years later. There was one new building, in progress, and a few cranes. But it's still a gaping wound. The Twin Towers should be rebuilt.

I was in second grade when the towers were attacked, but in this much the firefighters went in those buildings not only to save lives but to put out the flames to save the towers and if you don't rebuild the towers the way they were then those brave souls will have died in vain.

Rebuild the world trade center a little higher than it was before. America must show what they are made of. Americans are not cowardly fools that will let themselves or their country be affected by foreign scum. It's a matter of principles.
Good luck.

Well, I’m Australian. Also I'm 12 and you may think just because I'm 12 means I don't know about 9/11. America was heartbroken when their beloved Twin Towers had collapsed. I think Everyone would agree that we need the old design back! It suits New York. It's not too late to rebuild them…… Lots of people will be happy that their buildings are back and ready for business. They are the heart of New York City. Don’t forget them……..

Americans will NEVER forget the loved ones lost and even the survivors of this disaster. Each and every person as well as family, friend and rescuer will forever be in our hearts! Show the rest of the world that America is still strong and WILL rise above this and bring back our towers so that they will forever be a symbol of hope, strength and unity as a GREAT nation!

I've supported this for years. Most people I know don't care enough to support it. What can I do? Clearly, petition signing won't be nearly enough.

Until they stand again, exactly the way they were on 9/10, the terrorists stand victorious as they have changed the way we are.

There could be no greater symbol of our strength in the face of so much hate than rebuilding the Twin Towers. We need this for New York, for the families who lost their loved ones, and for our country that is struggling to find its way.

We are Americans. If a we are attacked by terrorists, we shouldn't have to let that scar from the attacks stay there for 9 years. We should rebuild, taller and better because that's what Americans do. We aren't a small helpless country! I'm sure the people who lost their lives on that day would choose the Twin Towers over that Freedom Tower piece of crap. USA!

An 8th grader shared this link with me. And since he made such a strong case to support your efforts, I feel compelled to join.

A combined set of Twin Towers and appropriate memorialization truly does make sense.

I respectfully suggest that we rebuild the original towers with one exception: tower one should rise nine stories taller; tower two should rise eleven stories taller. What better tribute than to follow the will of the people, especially those most affected by this devastating event? As I see it, if we do not rebuild the twin towers, then the terrorists, indeed, have won. Rebuilding the twin towers (with the noted suggestion) to their original glory would convey absolute strength and resolve. It is the right thing to do! It is the just path to take. Godspeed.

TTA Note: In any language the message is clear: REBUILD THE REAL WORLD TRADE CENTER!

I'm 14 girl from Czech Republic, who really love the Twin Towers. I believe it's not too late to rebuild them and restore the beautiful skyline of New York. I think the Freedom Tower isn't safe, because it's mostly made of glass. The Freedom Tower isn't pretty such the Twin Towers, it looks like it's from the space. The memorial doesn't look spectacular and it's expensive for the maintenance. The memorial with flags and with the wall sections is better. The Twin Towers were beautiful and unique buildings with pretty view. Inside of them it looks magnificent and spacious. Why don't rebuild?

How dare we stop at half way! Since when does America complete half the job and quit?! Rebuilding one tower at WTC, no matter how aesthetically pleasing, will always be considered only half way completed. Of course rebuilding in NYC would be ideal but construction has already begun, but if worst comes to worst, we could always build the exact WTC complex twin towers in another city. Before you balk at the idea, look up WTC twin towers along other cities skylines! It could be a good way to stick it to the Port Authority for dismissing 90% of America's strong opinion and wishes. Rebuild!!

TTA Note: Thank you for signing the petition and for your excellent comment. “Twin Towers II” is a fully designed, reengineered plan to restore what is quite possibly the most celebrated skyline in the world. As it happens there is already interest in building the plan in another city, but we will pass your idea of generating images with the Twin Towers rising in other skylines along to the man who designed the plan because it is a terrific idea. As for the Twin Towers Alliance, since we read the same media reports as everyone else, we appreciate why people would think it is too late, but it is not. Please see the Bulletins page later today for more information.

I was born in 1992, and during most of my childhood I wasn't fully aware of the existence of the Twin Towers. But deep down, it feels like I got this nostalgia for the America that had the Towers up in our lovely skyline. I remember that back in September 26, 2003 I went to New York for the first time. It was an amazing experience! It would have been even more spectacular if the good old World Trade Center was still around. And while although the Twin Towers may no longer physically be there in NYC, America should know that the are still up there in spirit. Let's Rebuild!!! For America!!! Now!!!

I'm from England and I know that 9/11 greatly affected many of us, including myself. Even now, when I see the footage it still upsets me. It has long been a dream of mine to visit New York City and now I feel that need/want is even greater as I would like to pay my respects to Ground Zero.

The Twin Towers were always a major part of New York and should be rebuilt. After 9/11, my heart has always been with Americans on that day every year! God bless you all.

I would just like to say that I am very upset the city and state of New York decided to build The Freedom Tower instead of rebuilding The Twin Towers. The Governor and Mayor lied to the American people when they said the people and families of 9/11 victims did not want the Twin Towers to be rebuilt. They lied and they are building on public property something that I do not want at all. I am a New Yorker since I was born in 1978 and I still live in this great city. I was so devastated by September 11th and I am even more devastated and upset the towers were not rebuilt.

Hi, im Jonathan, Im currently 15 years old, and i would like it if these currupt people stop taking our tax dollars to build a building that America doesnt want.I remember 9/11 on tv.I was in the second row watching the tv in the Library when on the tv, the WTC was on fire. And this was before the second plane hit. Then my mom picked me up from school after leaving Delta Airlines. She picked me up when United 93 crashed.I was aware what was going on.2 years from now, i want to join the USMC to protect our country. And i would like it if the twin towers are rebuilt to show we have not lost.Hoorah!

Dear Americans,
I strongly believe that the Twin Towers should stand AGAIN! I am Canadian and was only 6 years old when the Twin Towers where hit! I was nestled tightly in my bed that morning, as I was Living in BC, so we were on Pacific Time. I remember my mom wouldn't let me watch the T.V that day, I get very upset over these things. Anyways, I believe that nothing would make America prouder than to have their Twin Towers back. I know, it would make me proud to be in the neighboring country. I am proud of America, now and forever. Although I am Canadian, I would like you to know.
