Many times in my life, I have been knocked down, yet always got up and stood taller then before. Not building the World Trade Centers back, Bigger, Stronger and Taller in my eyes is a show of defeat. I am sure that there is room for a freedom tower that can accent the New Towers. This is America, We do not Bow to other leaders, We do not surrender, and We have never been defeated in the history of this Nation. The Towers must be rebuilt. If not, then we have suffered our 1st defeat.

While I support the building of Freedom Tower, I think rebuilding the Twin Towers would be a giant middle finger to the terrorists. Plus I'm too young to remember the real Twin Towers, and I really want to see thier beauty in person.

I think it would be more meaningful if we rebuilt it the way it was before we were attacked!!

It's a pretty simple decision. To me, no other decision makes sense. Put the Twin Towers back and symbolize that America is back, and better than ever.

As child I dreamed of to see the twin towers live. They were a symbol of freedom for me. I lived behind the wall in east germany (GDR) to that time. On September 11, 2001, after the wall fell down, it was too late. Today I still dream of to see the twin towers in New York. Please, make my dream come true.

There is a need for justice, peace, and TRUE hope. We have not seen that. We are still broken..plagued with health problems, mental health problems, and feelings of fright as well as insecurity. What have we done? That is a question to continue to ask ourselves. One way to heal us is to rebuild the towers as they were to express our unity and to demonstrate to the world we are not a different people.

The 'Freedom Tower' idea is nothing but a wimpy little cop out, a poor excuse for a consolation symbol of respect and remembrance, taking the chump's easy way out, and just plain stupid. These buildings were quite simply spiritually iconic. Nothing will substitute for going all the way and replacing the Towers, and anything less will be a permanent and sad eternal mistake, thereby cheating all future generations of their majestic power and presence upon the Earth for eons to come. The End.

I cant belive they are still going through with their current plans despite such public outcry that it is NOT what the people want! Evey poll shows that the people, even those who lost loved ones in the towers want them rebuilt...

Do the right thing officials!!!

I say rebuild them stronger and safer. I believe it shows that us Americans are still strong after having fallen. I don't like the new Freedom Tower. Ever since I was little, I've dreamed of visiting the Twin Towers before 9/11 and I still dream of it up to this day. The Freedom Tower to me is worth nothing compared to the Twin Towers.

Yes, build them back please. As citizen of the world, no other construction will do for New York what the original towers will. Bring back the Lower Manhattan landscape.

I honestly think anything less would be a disgrace. New York is the greatest city in the world and the Twin Towers were part of that. Why anyone would not want them back is beyond me. We want them. We need them.

I have always thought two totally revamped and updated interiors, but with the exteriors looking exactly like the original North and South Towers of the WTC was the best tribute and strongest response to the events of 9/11/01. Nothing would please me more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRW92eEZtj8

Amen... I've been saying this since a week after they fell. Just like Trump says: Exactly as they were, and even a little taller.

It has been my consistent belief for the past 9 years that the towers should be rebuilt, better and with the utmost respect and commemoration to 9/11.

I regret my not coming to New York City prior to 9/11 and am immeasurably glad that someone has at least taken up the gauntlet to make New York City what it once was.

By building the freedom tower complex and placing beams of light next to it, you're in essence saying, "Look what we have now. But it's nothing as compared to what we had.

If the Obama administration wants to spend all this money we don't have and force the federal government on everything, why not at least do something good with it? Take over the WTC site and use that money to rebuild the towers!

Then, once they're rebuilt, take the criminals behind the attacks up to the roof and push them off - kill them in the same way that they killed thousands of innocent Americans. If they want to meet their dammed heathen god, I'm happy to oblige.

Is it even a *question* that the towers should be rebuilt? Come on, it'd like two huge middle fingers to terrorism as a whole. I say build them back, ON THE ORIGINAL SPOTS (not moved back several hundred feet), structurally more durable, aesthetically identical, and one story taller. Anyone who does not support rebuilding the original WTCs can get the hell out of and stay the hell out of America.

Thousands of troops have died and suffered life changing injuries since the 9/11 attack, we owe it to these heroes and to the 9/11 victims and their families to support this movement to rebuild the Twin Towers. They should be built BIGGER, STRONGER, and BETTER.

I am absolutely certain that a great number of Americans would be glad to donate their talents, time, and money to rebuild the towers.

Let us put our energy together, let us show the world that the American can do spirit is alive.

I will always remember that beautiful, alive, arrogant, and overwhelming structure. How it changed colors and moods, moved in the wind, and was always a reference point. I would hope that the WTC2 would be built with atleast the same glory and grandeur as the original, maybe even taller. WTC was for years the tallest structure built by man, please get the point!

I want the Twin Towers to be rebuilt. Im 12 years old and I am mad about the Freedom tower because it don't look like the Twin Towers. It's almost 10 years after 9/11 and their still a big hole in New York city. I want the Twin Towers back in New York's skyline but a story taller (111 stories high) and stronger so it can withstand a large plane crash like the planes on 9/11, they were large. And thats my story.

Brooklyn Born. Towers were there my whole life. Its how I knew I was home. My family and I were lucky, I had requested extended time for leave but was denied due to manning, so we left on our flights Sept 8th. The plan was to take the family to the top of the WTC and look down at the world from its observation deck. When the towers came down I was on duty again, I knew I would never be truly home again. Put them up. That's the only real way to be American. When you're down get up!

The towers must be rebuilt! period! it is a slap in the face of the tax payers that overwelmingly want the original towers back, bigger and stronger than ever. Why won't the city listen to the people who are ultimately paying for this, and also the families of the victims? New York will never look the same, wich is what the terrorists wanted to accomplish. This is not Asia! That is where those proposed ugly buildings belong! Bring the NY skyline back to true form please!!!!!

THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA AND ALL AROUND THE WORLD WHO BELIEVE IN SHOULD DEMAND THIS NO MATTER HOW FAR ALONG IN THE PROCESS THEY ARE. THE FREEDOM TOWER WILL STAND AS A SYMBOL OF BUREAUCRATIC ARROGANCE AND BUNGLING FOR YEARS TO COME BUT WORST OF ALL WILL REMAIN A DREADFUL EYESORE--NEITHER IS ITS FLAWED DESIGN REDEEMABLE. REBUILD THE INDOMITABLE SPIRIT OF AMERICA--REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS EVEN GREATER THAN THEY WERE -- WE MUST STAND TOGETHER UNTIL OUR TRUE FREEDOM AND HONOUR ARE RESTORED

I get a feeling of emptiness inside when I see a movie or watch the news with the New York skyline. To not replace them would say the terrorist won. They destoried America's symbol of POWER.We need to make the Twin Towers BIGGER and STRONGER.And to build a terrorist Temple near ground zero.I better stop writing because I am getting madder by the minute.

Re-Build the Twin Towers: Bigger, stronger, more beautiful than ever. That's how the Towers should be rebuilt; that's how America was and God willing will continue to be built. Americans don't want to cower behind the "freedom" tower! The same type of "public servant" that is behind the "freedom" tower design has stuffed the "crescent of embrace" down our throats in Pennsylvania. Check it out: [link moved to name above].

I love New York!
