all we heard from our country's leader after 9/11 is "we can't let the terrorists win"; that is exactly what is happening now and will continue to happen as long as these new symbols of defeat stand where symbols of all that america was about used to be. we as a nation should have enuff respect for those who lost their lives on that day, and every day since in a war that isnt getting our history, patriotism, pride, family members, friends, civil servants, countrymen etc. back. we need our towers back.

Please rebuild these landmarks taller and stronger than before. They were and should remain a symbol of our freedom and country.

I admire your hard work to rebuild the twin towers. I think that you should go world wide with this suggestion, all the people in the world that watched the twintowers fall wants see them again. It's not fair to the people who knew those who perished to build the Freedom towers. It doesen't belong in Manhattan.

I just wanted you to know that you have my full support about this question. And don't stop fighting for WTC 2.

I am 12 years old and signing this. Why not rebuild this trade center? What are we scared of? Those buildings represented the strength of this country. I say rebulid!

To rebuild the Towers would be one of the single greatest things America has ever done. It would both honor those we have lost and give all Americans a reason to smile again. To stand up straight, to hold their heads higher than they were ever able to before. To be proud of being a Citizen of the United States of America. Still, The Greatest Country in the world. I might only be a 17 year old guy who has been a New Yorker his whole life living on Long Island. But I can still remember the time very very clearly before 9/11 in the late 90’s when I was always amazed by the New York City skyline and the Twin Towers. I was so stunned by these beautiful buildings that I was completely shocked when 9/11 happened. The point to all of this is to Rebuild the World Trade Center and make our city whole once more. Because if we don’t do anything, who will?

My brother told me about this site and I admire what's going on here. I've lived in NYC forever and nobody wants to see that freedom tower up. I just don't get it, why in the hell is it so hard to put back what was lost? If it was the Empire State or the Statue of Liberty, they wouldn't be doing this. What is going on? They've got a lot done, so I just hope that the struggle is over soon. The terrorists brought down the towers and we can bring down what's being built now and rebuild what belongs there.

i was only in kindergarden on 911 & i would LOVE if they rebuilt them so wen i was older i could live there preferably 1 high up wuld b AMAZING i wuld give nything for that but i wuld make sure that no mater wat i wuld have a parachute in my room at all times so unless the plane hit me i could either walk down the stairs to safety or if im above and stuck i could break the window put the parachute on and jump out, deploy the parachute and decend the safety & RIP to all whom lost their life on 911.

I was 8 years old when the twin towers went down and I have always thought why dont they rebuild them. I am coming to New York next year 2010 because I love the look and atmosphere of New York. I think that the twin towers were the most beautiful buildings ever, they stood taller than anything else and it was as if to say "here I am" and I liked that. Obviously I don't live in America but that just shows if it has had that much of an affect on me then the people of America will agree.

I sent a message to the mayor of NY recommending this "healing" of America. It is NOT the Muslims who are bad, those are NOT true Muslims, they are fakers. Wake Up Before it's too late!

"911" Oh Yeah, that day will be etched in my mind forever. THE TOWERS, I was there once, the view, the majestic splendor, the reason why they stood as tall as they did. Not only for New Yorkers, they symbolized the strength of our great nation, the achievements, nations from all over the world came together and we accepted that. It is time to get back what was taken away in such an evil act. "TWIN TOWERS" taller, and more stately than before. Nothing short of that should be accepted, period.

I truly hope that the Twin Towers are rebuilt. I think it would be a great day in America when all Americans see the offical opening of the Twin Towers once again. Those towers were NYC'S history. It's not even funny. Rebuild it. It's rebuilding history. New York loved those towers.

This should have been the only way to deal with the site - rebuild.

I believe that a possible solution to bring back the appearance of the NY skyline to the way it was before the Twin Towers were destroyed, would be to build a set of memorial structures the exact same dimensions/location as the original towers once stood. They would be 2 steel shells that would resemble the Twin Towers from a distance. The hollow cage like structures could have long external vertical steel beams with interior horizontal support beams. These structures could also be illuminated.

Rebuild them!!! Not rebuilding the twin towers would be a disgrace. Make New York New York again! Stand up against terrorism, show them they cannaot alter the skyline. Lets not give them the satisfaction. Rebuild in the honour of the famalies, the people and the heroic firefighters who died that day. Build the towers taller and stronger and show terrorists around the world that we as people, although we might stumble or get knocked down, we will come back stronger and prevail!

The twin towers should be rebuilt exactly the same. Freedom Tower is a horrid design; which is not New York or American.

I was too young to even see the twin towers just recently i saw of picture of them before the attack and i would love to see them soaring high once again its part of are country memorys and it lets children like me get to see their beauty.

I think that they should rebuild the twin towers. If it was not for the vol. firefighter, police offiers and the amercian red cross and many another vol that helped out that day. I would love to see the twin towers be rebuilt.

The towers were an amazing thing to see in New York City they should be re-built the same way as they were. This Country needs to put back what has been taken from us in its orignal way.

I would really really like to have the twin towers back. The events that day were devastating. This plan is great and will show the terrorists that we will not go down! I hope this plan comes through and that the towers will once again rise into the sky.

I worked in the trade center in the early 70's as a Drywall taper. And I was always proud of that. But most of all we need to rebuild them and not show that we live in fear. If we can spend trillions on this war why not rebuild the towers giving thousands of people much needed jobs here at home. And most of all let's do it in remembrance to all of those who died that fateful day on Sept 11. 2001. Let's rebuild for them. God bless America.

If my home burned down what would I do? Easy, rebuild it and even better than before. The 'twin towers' is no different. It was home to many. It is time to rebuild.

I believe that replacing the old towers as opposed to going with the current watered down and non-inspiring project would be a great tribute to the families involved with this tragedy, would replace one of New York's iconic landmarks and also show the resilience and strength of this city and the nation as a whole.

We need those towers back! For my uncle and brother who both died that day in the north and south towers, and my dad who barely made it out of the pentagon! Those beautiful buildings need to be seen by the new generation, and we all need them back!
