Loved the original twin towers. I was in them my brother had a job interview there and a friend and cousin of mine was in the second plane flight 175. This means so much to me and my family to bring back the iconic world trade center.

The twin towers seemed to be part of the heartbeat of NYC.

The Twin Towers where Iconic Buildings in the World and they should be rebuild.

The proposed design for the new Two World Trade Center is a joke and will look awful from anywhere except NJ. However, we should be rational enough to acknowledge that the old design will never be rebuilt - this is good as we should look into the future instead of the past! Nevertheless, a second twin for 1WTC is necessary as so many on this website have made clear already.

America is stronger than terrorism and rebuilding the Twin Towers would be a symbol of it.

We need to rebuild the towers. The freedom tower is showing the terrorists they won. It’s not an icon, it symbolizes giving up. The twin towers represent New York. I heard we’re building new World Trade Centers soon, so let’s make them the Twin Towers, New York.

I want the original World Trade Center to be built just as much as everyone on the TTA and believe it is missing in our skyline. If they were rebuilt they would be beautiful right next to the One World Trade Center. Nobody is listening to us and what we truly want. We love One World Trade Center but we miss those tall grey rectangular buildings. That's why we must protest to rebuild them on April 4, 2020, the 46th anniversary of the World Trade Center being complete, at The World Trade Center Plaza -- the exact same, no difference: same color, same design, same height, same amount of floors, same everything -- so this generation can know their beauty.

I come from a generation that never lived a day with the Towers standing. My generation doesn't know the void that is the absence of those towers. There is no greater gift to our enemies foreign and domestic than to accept defeat and not rebuild. That's why I say rebuild. And there is no greater gift to the next generation of American adults than to restore the greatest symbol of American engagement in the global market this country ever knew.

They were not only New York City's twin towers they were Americas's twin towers. Rebuild our twin towers.

The Twin Towers were what symbolized New York and America. They were in hundreds of movies and when you spotted them you knew exactly where you were. They symbolized much more than just the city of New York they symbolized America and our progress as a nation. If we do not rebuild the twin towers we are allowing the terrible people who committed the attacks to take away a symbol of American unity and freedom forever.

Rebuilding the twin towers would not only be symbolic of this nation’s resiliency but it will give the opportunity for new generations to come to experience how magnificent they were. I don’t have deep connections to many places but I still do with the twin towers even though they’re no longer here. It was one of few things that made me proud to be a New Yorker actually. I miss them and I’m glad that I’m not alone.

I want the Towers back in their rightful places and to see them soaring over America’s skyline yet again and grace the skies with their presence and I pray that they will get it done.

I want to have the twin towers built back up even though I wasn't alive when it happened, but I also think you should have a floor for each hero, and name each floor after them.

A skyline without a symbol is meaningless, and the freedom tower fails to present that. All it will ever be is a solid reminder of that tragic day. It shows us New Yorkers towards the world that we aren’t capable of overcoming such a tragedy and it’s a sign of weakness, and that’s exactly what we aren’t. We are strong and very capable of healing. Bring us the skyline we miss in the bottom of our hearts. Please listen to the people.

I think the original twin towers looked very cool. If we can somehow rebuilt the look of the original towers but somehow also make the structural integrity able to withstand an attack of similar proportions, then i'm sure everyone will be happy with the result. I stand with the rebuilding of the towers.

We made the One WTC 6 floors shorter than the twin towers? Why? I don’t know. The new twin towers will be 112 stories tall! I think if we wanted to build a symbol of healing we would build a taller building. Right?

I was born in 2004 so by that time the towers were already gone. In school however they still had old pictures of the once glorious skyline, and as a young child I always wondered why they took them away.

Needs to be done.

The Twin Towers were an Icon of our great nation. They truly showed the power and ingenuity of the American People. Rebuilding the Twin Towers would show the world that we won’t be influenced by terrorism! Most people would like to see the towers rebuilt. New York isn’t New York without the Twin Towers.

Man it's sad to know that a black man (not being racist or pulling the race card here) had tried to rebuild these 2 beautiful buildings and make the area look even better. But none of us peacefully protested at the site to rebuild the twin towers. They were both amazing and still are. Please rebuild both of these towers one day in Manhattan. If we can't, what about the waterfront of Brooklyn or Queens? But as long as it's in Manhattan or right close to it would be nice... I hope they rebuild them one day soon before it's too late (they rebuild WTC 2).

I worked on Greenwich Street just down two blocks from the twin towers. Everyday I would just go to my spot and sit and admire the twin tower marvels. The twin towers should be rebuilt. I would have no problem at all working in newly built twin towers. It is almost an impossibility that any jetliners would ever be hijacked again. First, the passengers on the plane would not let it happen. Second, the cockpit doors are now enforced to withstand mega forces. I despise that new freedom tower. It is ugly and an insult to all. I truly hope new twin towers are built in my lifetime.

As a native New Yorker, looking at the NYC skyline and not seeing twin towers is a reminder of what happened on 9/11, and a constant reminder of terrorism. They do not need to be built as they once were, but twin towers should be there, in the form of 2 Freedom Towers or whatever seems suitable. Rebuilding such historical buildings is a sign of strength and is a great head start in the right direction of peace and unity.
