i agree they should rebulid the twin towers to show everyone that we are better and stronger that they will not bring us down.....and to have the memorials so that everyone who visits pay tribute and their respect to those we have lost.....i grieve for those we have lost on that tragic day and they will be a part of my heart forever

As a former NYC couple, and friends who greive along with many others, we truly want to bring back what was our city's glory....the Twin Towers!! We believe in going forward and not looking back, not allowing the terrorists to claim what is ours, they shall never have our city!! Never shall they have our hearts, minds or our souls and least of all our homes and the things we treasure, our freedoms. God bless everyone who continues to sign this petition to reconstruct the Twin Towers, AMEN!

There wouldn't be a greater tribute to the victims or a better way to bring America back from tragedy than to rebuild the twin towers stronger and higher than they ever were before. It would show the world that we as a nation can triumph over tragedy and we will always move forward and rebuild. The new towers will send a clear message to the terrorists that America is strong and can't be brought down. Please rebuild the twin towers!!

Many lost friends, family, or loved ones that day. As for those of us who were not struck with the same loss we still felt a great pain. It is a day that will always be remembered in my life and I am sure others' as well. Rebuilding the Twin Towers would be an outstanding memorial and would stand for much more. Its a symbol of our unity, pain, and shows that we are not afraid. I support the rebuilding of these buildings that have a place in history and America's heart.

the current "freedom" tower is a terrible stucture. it will only serve as a current reminder of our fear.

When I joined the Navy one of the places Ive always wanted to go to was the Twin Towers. But thanks to the cowards that destroyed them Im SOL. I say rebuild them as they were before but a little bit taller. Now that Im stationed in VA on a carrier I hope to enjoy the site of NY with the twins.

I believe rebuilding the Twin Towers and WTC complex is a great way to show America’s strength and ability to over come. This in my opinion is better symbol of our freedom the Freedom Tower. Also, if acceptable to the families of the victims to this tragic event, the memorials planned on the footprints of the previous towers would be an honorable tribute. Memorials paying tribute to Americans who lost their lives in the name of freedom should not be required to charge a fee to cover costs.

REBUILD the twin tower buildings! It would show the world that we are strong and can get through a tragedy like this.

The twin towers of the WTC were not just buildings to me but a symbol of solidarity, stability, innovation and most of all of home. I grew up watching the towers rise from across the river and I never shed my sense of wonder at their power and greatness. As I grew older they were always welcoming like an old friend greeting you and letting you know you were back in that place where you belonged. As an appreciator and admirer of New York City and its people, I feel very strongly that the towers should return - a testament to the courage, spirit and heroism that ultimately prevailed on that tragic day.
I was not in any way involved in the disaster, but I was deeply moved, and my thoughts and well wishes are with all the families and friends of those who lost their lives.

In "The Social Contract" Rousseau writes:" but [men can] only unite and direct existing ones [forces], they have no other means of preserving themselves than the formation, by aggregation, of a sum of forces great enough to overcome the resistance... This sum of forces can arise only where several persons come together: but, as the force and liberty." Only united can we stand against a common foe; let the towers stand to remind us of those who fell, those who serve, and our commitment to liberty.

I believe we should rebuild the WTC area just as it was, there would be great tribute to bring things back and show they world we can move on. It will also how we are not in grandious in our architecture or gawdy.

I think classic rebuild is the only way.

This plan to rebuild the twin towers is simply amazing. It encompasses a desire to remember those who fell that day as well as the drive to show the world that America will not stand by and let our strength, our prosperity, and our principles be infringed upon by any government or fanatical ideology. We should absolutely rebuild the towers and they should be taller! They should be looked at as a beacon of hope for a better world and a symbol of the tenacity of the American spirit.

I BELIEVE THE WORLD TRADE CENTERS SHOULD BE REBUILT BIGGER AND BETTER THAN BEFORE. TO SHOW THE ENEMY THAT WE WILL NEVER EVER FORGET AND WILL WORK HARD TO FIND THOSE RESPONIBLE.

The twin towers must be rebuilt. The best memorial to those who were lost is rebuilding what was there. Not to mention, we rebuilt the Pentagon as it was, why should towers be any different?

Having been to New York City before and after the towers collapsed I can say they are much more impressive than the freedom tower.

Rebuild the towers bigger and better than before. Twin Towers II will be the biggest symbol of defeat to the terrorists that destroyed the original towers. The freedom tower would be a victory for the terrorists.

rebuild the towers why put up the freedom tower? Isn't that just one of the many things that the towers symblized? Put them back exactly how they were. My parents both would have been dead now if they hadn't of been so lucky. Withdraw troops and blow up every country Osama Bin Laden is "supposed" to be in. Stop being chickens and get back at them for all the people we knew and loved.

Please rebuild-- I agree that the best memorial would be a rebuild. We should not allow ourselves as Americans to be controlled by those who made the choice to destroy that which we as Americans held so dear. If we do not rebuild then "they" will continue to try and tear us down, and could very likely succeed. It wasn't just Americans that were affected--it was the world. I implore you to rebuild to help heal the hole in all of our hearts. This has affected us all.

For me the Twin Towers are the iconic buildings of NYC like the Empire State, Chrysler and other constructions. And without them, the NY is for me and many other people now "naked". Still, after the 8 years of failures in fighting to bring them back i still have the dream, that someday we would see them back, rebuilded in their rightful place. Stop the construction of the FT "monster", and bring this amazing buildings back. Greetings from Warsaw, Poland.

I totally support the rebuild of the Twin Towers. I think this has much more to it, than the new projects that are going on with Freedom Tower. The Twin Towers keeps the originality, strengthens safety, and also shows us that nothing is really destructable. Note that this will not hide the tragical accident, but rather make a confident tribute to what once was.

My dad had the privilege to see the towers during his business trip to New York back in the 1980's. It had always been a dream of mine to visit New York one day and witness the spectacular elegance of the Twin Towers standing in all their might and glory--until the day they crumbled to the ground. Not only does New York not feel the same without them; the entire nation feels the void as well. If rebuilding the towers is what THE PEOPLE want, then this is what we should get. REBUILD THE TOWERS!

This vision is a much more effective statement than the current plan. Large numbers of people agree; don't let the bleeding hearts take away a famous symbol of New York City!
