They NEED to bring back the Twin Towers. The Freedom Tower is going to RUIN the look of New York City, and it is an INSULT to this City! The skyline wont look right with the Freedom tower in place. Now imagine, a skyline with some UGLY GLASS TOWER sticking out like a SORE THUMB! I, for one, support this plan to bring back the Twin Towers, and I would be pissed off if they build the Freedom Tower. It just doesn't look right, especially for Manhattan, so support this plan and sign the petiton. -R

Bring back the original towers! The Freedom Tower is almost an insult, not only to the original design, but to the men and women who were murdered on 9/11. Rebuilding the towers as they were, in fact bigger and better, is the only fitting tribute.

The World Trade Center Towers need to be restored! We need to let the world know that we are not afraid! We will rebuild those towers as if they were never gone! Please let the New York City skyline be what it was once again!

The Twin Towers have to be rebuilt. The Freedom Tower is not good for NYC because the WTC is recognizable with the Twin Towers but without it it's nothing. The WTC would be garbage with the Freedom Tower. REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS.

The Twin Towers have become synonymous to New York City. After 9/11, we were told not to let terror control us and to go about our lives as normal. But how can things ever be truly normal when the skyline is still incomplete? Rebuilding the towers would be the biggest sign to the world that New York and America will not let evil destroy us. Also, a memorial dedicated to the thousands of individuals lost that day, their stories and the artifacts crafted by families to honor them in the WTC site.

I would love to see those towers back on the skyline. It would make NYC feel like NYC again. It would restate the city's power, fearless strength and healing.
I am glad they have stopped construction on two of the towers in the present design. Now we have a real chance of seeing these buildings become a reality.

I am a 17 year old guy from Germany, when I visited NYC last year i saw the problem: There is something missing in NY...The World Trade Center...
I pray to God that they will rebuild the WTC. Although I am just a teen I hope I can help with my opinion.

My heart is full with emotion as I type.... I moved from NY (Bronx) to Florida in 2002, I was there when it all happened, I think I speak for my self and new yorkers..... rebuilding the towers will definetly bring some much needed healing to our hearts. Rebuild the towers, let's let the world know our souls were shattered by a bunch of cowards on 9/11... but we are the greatest nation in the world and we are back, we are not afraid! and there will be twin towers again, GO TWIN TOWERS II!

I remember going to the top of the Twin Towers and marvelling at the spectacular view of the city that stands for America - bring that view back for all - God bless America!

Rebuilding should have been the only option for the start. . . Freedom Tower LOOKS nice, but it's not the same, or the thing we need.

I would love to see the towers rebuilt as they were. I remember looking at them everyday from my grandmothers 16th floor apartment in Brooklyn. I'm no longer a New Yorker but I dream about seeing those Towers because I did everyday of my life for 20 years. We NEED our towers back... the Twins as they were.

The Freedom Tower, while a good idea, is unfortunately not of the same magnitude as what once stood there. Building it will ultimately show the terrorists they were successful in the attacks on our country, as the site will remain forever changed. Instead we must show everyone that while we may fall down, we will ALWAYS get back up again and stand stronger than ever. Rebuild the Twin Towers EXACTLY as they were, as they are a TRUE symbol of freedom in this great nation.

My uncle, Joseph Vilardo, died in the 9/11 attacks. He would want the towers back and better than ever! The people that died that day wouldn't want remorse...they would want their deaths to have STOOD FOR SOMETHING! Anything less than what they were would be a disgrace to the people of New York and those that gave their lives for our freedom. Put them back!

Rebuild The Twin Towers! They don’t belong in history ! They belong in the Present! The New Twin Towers will show new generations of people in person what the original twin towers were once like.

I have nothing against the architects or even the design of the new freedom tower. All the new towers look nice and I'm sure would make great office buildings. But after such a tragedy and the loss of one of America's greatest symbols, the freedom tower just doesnt cut it. Honestly I think we as a country deserve more. We need something bolder, something that slaps the terrorists in the face, and I think rebuilding stronger, taller, better twin towers would be the greatest thing we could ever do.

I've been saying this from the start. Rebuilding the Twin Towers is the only logical and emotional answer. If we really intend to show the world our strength, then we need to ditch the current plan, which is simply 21st century eye candy and self indulgent bravado. And the fact that they want to charge admission to the memorial is a disgrace. This abomination should be filed where it belongs: the city dump! Bring Back The Towers!!

The original Twin Towers were more than just buildings. They were a macrocosm of all that makes our country unique, and a symbol of the enduring American spirit. The Twin Towers need to be rebuilt to stand bigger and taller than ever before. Anything less is simply unacceptable.

We must learn from the mistakes me made in the past and build a new World Trade Center. Making it stronger and able to withstand terrorist attacks.

This what america needs to do to show that the people of this great country have noot given up, and have not succomed to fear. I hope to once again view the skyline of NY, and see those towers representing Americas drive to overcome adversity, and that we will prevail.

Why not replace the Eiffel Tower or the Taj Mahal with some unpopular modern building of average taste. This icon cannot be replaced with so little consideration.

With all due respect to the Freedom Tower designers and those who organized that planning, the Freedom Tower is not New York. It is not a symbol just because it has 'freedom' in its name. Build a symbol; build two. Please rebuild the towers; the country will be behind that effort. Do the right thing.

2,974 people (not including the hijackers) died in New York on September 11. I think the height of the towers should be 2,974 feet tall!! Beating Burj Dubai @ 2,684ft by 290 feet. Symbolic for each AMERICAN fatality and being the biggest tower in the world.

Since the idea of a skyscraper first came from America, the U.S. should have the tallest one today. I want to see America have the first and second tallest.

PLEASE rebuild the twin towers! We need to show the world what the U.S. is made of and rebuild what we lost. The victims would want us to rebuild them as they were. We cannot bring back those lives we lost, however, we can rebuild the towers to show the world that we will not live in fear. It would be a nice "slap in the face" to those who enjoyed watching what happened on 9-11.

Rebuild the twin towers! As I said 7 years ago on 9-11, lets build them 10 stories taller and better! One day I would love to take my kids to visit them as I did when I was a child. USA could have had those things up by now if we would have just rebuilt them.

We've got to put something worthy in the WTC site, and the Freedom Tower is anything but that.

The twin towers site leaves a hole in my heart . i grew up watching them being built, and lost several friends on 9/11. I believe we must rebuild while making sure to respect those lost.
