Born and raised in New York. The twin towers were as much a part of our lives as breathing air and to not restore them to their rightful place in the New York skyline would be a disservice to all New Yorkers past and present and would be to have allowed these monsters to come in and have forever altered a huge part of New York. We cannot give them that power.

My son lives 1 mile north of the towers and was getting into a cab that morning to go to work in the Chrysler building. Noticed a plane way too low and proceeded to work. Word soon came that morning all was well with him and his (now) wife via blackberry message to my daughter in Boston.
Windows of the World was one of the first places he took me to show his town. Above the clouds!
I am glad to add my name to this list and think rebuilding the towers is exactly the message we should make.

I grew up in NY and visited the Twin Towers several times, even danced and had dinner there. It was heart wrenching to see them come down on 9-11. Don't allow the enemies to win, please rebuild the towers.

This is the only solution that has felt right from the very beginning. We must reclaim what was taken from us that awful day. Rebuild the towers better and stronger and the whole world will know that NYC and the USA are still strong and courageous.

I could think of no better way to honor the memory of the fallen and the best of the spirit of the United States than to return the towers to New York.

What a reasonable, logical, honest and architecturally fitting concept. I'm not from NYC, but those times I had travelled there prior to 9/11, The Towers were always that bit of welcome confirmation for those visitors that are navigationally challenged. I have a vast catalog of 'mental jpegs' with The Towers commanding prominence in many frames. They have been missed.

Rebuilding the Twin Towers should have begun the day after Ground Zero was cleared.

Every time we lose something, we strive to get better. why not do the same with the Twin Towers? Do not let the terrorists win, they wanted to change the great New York skyline and if we do not rebuild the Twins, they would have done so.

There simply is no other fitting response to 9/11 than to rebuild the Twin Towers. Anything else will be viewed by most Americans and the world as capitulation to the terrorists, and all who oppose freedom. If I had been one to perish in the attack, the only memorial that would truly honor my death would be to rebuild the towers in defiance of the terrorists.

The only thing standing in the way is our bankrupt government, politicians and bureaucrats!

Grew up in Brooklyn and later Staten Island. Watched the towers being built. I don't think that anything could be more fitting than to restore them to the skyline.

Silverstein should sue those bastards for holding his property in limbo. Build the Twin Towers and hang the politicians in the square.

The only appropriate design is to replace the Two Towers, and let the terrorists know we spit in their eyes. Get her done!

The World Trade Center meant and still means a lot to me, but i would have loved to get a chance to go shopping in there and also going to the observation deck and and also going to windows on the world and eating a nice quality meal and it looked awesome in ny skyline and ground zero and it meant world trade and peace and they were a nice simple design and they brought a lot of business in nyc

Freedom's Ring...

Cast down... shackled... dark, dank.
Alone...yearning, for a glimmer of light.
Vivid images racing, tormenting.
Shattered dreams of freedom,
suffering,hopeless despair;

Liberty"s light, beckons the patriots spirit.
If, only to hold..a single ray.
Grappling for life..the light of freedom.
Vanquishing the bonds of captivity;

Bursting forth, grasping the light... dreams.
Never too relinquish, guarded vigilantly.
Basking in freedoms light...
Your life,shackles,

We should do it, but will we? Can we? Are we Americans? Or are we done? Is this how it ends? The terrorists win...WTF!!!!!!

The World Trade Center was a great symbol of capitalism. What better to show terrorists that if you bomb it we shall rebuild it. Does not matter what they do, we will overcome that is who we are, that is our moral character. the old English phrase keep a stiff upper comes to mind anything but rebuilding the Twin Towers would be admitting defeat.
LONG LIVE THE AMERICAN DREAM.

The twin towers were obviously one of the most, if not the most, iconic features of New York City. They were the fusion of beauty, prestige, and simplicity. One great way to send a statement of American resolve against the fear and plight of terrorism would be to rebuild the very thing the terrorists took away. To rebuild the towers would not only restore a powerful symbol of New York, but send a clear message that our people and our country can and will rebuild anything our enemies destroy.

To hell with the absurd Fear Tower! If we were still a serious country the Twin Towers would be up at 150 STORIES!
Sadly, we are no longer a serious country.

Greetings from Canada! Im signing this for many reasons. Rebuilding the WTC's Twin Towers bigger and stronger is just a very powerful message and definitely something to remember. The original WTC served New York in many ways from well World Trade to tourism and those who just like to gaze up at them. One more thing is that the Freedom Tower is just not the same especially when replacing the most famous twinned structures in the world. If they're built il bring a Canadian Flag to the WTC if I go.

The Twin Towers meant so much to me as an American citizen. After looking closely at the other WTC plan that has been proposed, I feel there is no comparison. This plan satisfies so many more of the core elements - the emotional, financial, historical, and visual elements would all remain intact, but with a positive eye on the future. Bravo. How else can I help?

Just build the originals again. It would be taking away the famous face of the city. And to the terrorists it would be the best signal. You can't get us small, we just rebuild them.

If you look at the design of the tower of freedom it's actually not that bad. That being said, there should be two of them!! The smaller one should be 1776 ft tall, and the bigger one including the antenna should be some 2000 feet tall... I would say... The twin towers looked like glorious guardians of Manhattan, like the collosal guardians at Abu Simbel... the new design looks exactly the same as other major cities' skyline... how sad!!!

The WTC towers were one of the most awe inspiring achievements of modern day engineering the world has ever seen. As such it is unsurprising that they were targeted by the cowards of 9/11 in a very symbolic message meant to say that even our greatest minds were inadequate to defeat them and send a significant blow to the morale of the country. It is only continuing to aid the enemy by not rebuilding them as it can be said they see it as an acceptance of their message. Now is the time to do it.
