I think we should re-build the towers the way they were...only better. We should do this not only to make New York City New York City again, but to show ourselves AND the rest of the world..and especially the ones who did that terrible murderous act on September 11th, 2001 that we are proud and resilient! Its the way it outta be.

I went to see The Twin Towers in the year 2000. They where one of the main reasons why I came with my parents to New York. And while we where heading home from the family party. We where stop in the city. Once I saw the Twin Towers, I fall in love with them & the city. I've never stopped loving the city of New York. Since that year I've wanted to live in NYC & I still do. We where planning to go back there in 2001. But we never did & that happened. My love for NYC is stronger now.

Listen to the people's desires. Rebuild as they were. Show the world we're still standing. We FEAR NO ONE!!!

My preferrence would be to see the Twin Towers rebuilt - I miss seeing the New York skyline without them (pictures, movies, etc.) - I hope to see more Americans supporting this site, and look forward to seeing this effort supported/advertised on TV - I would think one of the FOX programs would give some attention to it.

Rebuild the towers!! After watching the devastating attacks on the news of september 11th 2001 a lot of people dont feel the same as the new york skyline is not the same, looking at the demolished skyline is a constant reminder of what happened on that day. Although i think it is wrong that we forget what happened, we must rebuild the towers to rebuild the peoples confidence and show terrorists we are strong and can survive!! I hope in the future i can visit and pay my respect to ground zero.

Although I no longer live in NY I have strong feelings about this; please do not use this opportunity for financial gain and make the most of the space that has been created - just rebuild what we lost, preferably taller!

NOT rebuilding the Twin Towers, in my opinion, is a sign of resignation, as if we were to afraid to tempt our enemies by rebuilding the towers.

Rebuilding the towers would be the ultimate symbol of American resolve. We need to show strength, no fear. Just as we need to show strength and no fear in our fight with radical islam. They started this, we will finish it!

Rebuilding the Towers the way they were would be the best way of honoring everyone who was affected by the original towers' destruction. The other designs have nothing to do with the original look of the New York skyline. I was born in Manhattan, grew up looking at and visiting the towers and I want them back-perhaps a floor higher than they were. Since we the taxpayers will be footing most of the 10-20 Billion it will cost, we should have some say in the matter.

Rebuild them even bigger for ALL the right reasons.

What an amazing story it would be to tell my children and grandchildren, as we look up at the new buildings, the story of how the Twin Towers had once collapsed. Let's not make the World Trade Center a thing of the past. I think that rebuilding is a great idea.

If we do not rebuild the symbols that Osama Bin Laden was so keen to destroy, then he ultimately wins. Rebuilding them - at least as tall as they were before - is essential to National pride, National Honor - and is the best way to honor the fallen.

Building a memorial is surely the best way to admit DEFEAT! A memorial tells Americas enemies that we can be beat, that they have won and that we live in fear of them. Rebuilding the Twin Towers will send the message that America cannot be intimidated. What greater tribute to those innocent victims of 9/11 then to rebuild the Twin Towers. Give a voice to those victims, rebuild The Twin Towers and tell the cowardly, radical, religous extremists and the world that WE WILL NOT BE BEAT!

6 years ago, when I saw the footage of the Towers burning and collapsing, I felt empty, and that my life was never going to be the same again. Only a few months before, when I was on a trip to New York to meet my family's friends, I was standing near those grand towers, admiring their look, feeling the power of that magnificent structure. I did not have the chance to enter it though. And now, if the towers will not be rebuilt I will never have the chance. I, and all of Russia support this cause.

Well, it's over SIX years now and we still have only a hole in the ground. They should have been rebuilt and occupied by now. We need a thorough cleaning out of the politicians and power brokers throughout the country and replace them with soccer moms, auto mechanics, truck drivers and grocery clerks. The regular Americans have more common sense than the corrupt government "representatives!"

I think it is an absolute shame that we're even having this discussion. If it were the White House that were destroyed, we wouldn't be building a pink house. I miss those towers.
