Two shining new towers would be the best memorial to the 9/11 victims that I could imagine.

I grew up in New Jersey and visited the WTC on many class trips. I want the Twin Towers rebuilt so my heart can leap again whenever I see New York!

The Twin Towers were as much of a New York ikon as The Empire State Building or any of the other great buildings in the city. I say rebuild the towers and spit in the face of the radical terriorists that took them down.

Bring back the Towers!!

The towers should be rebuilt bigger and better. That would be the ultimate slap in the face to every terrorist the world over. Let it be known that their efforts are futile; we will rebuild stronger than ever everytime!

The Twin towers were an economic & multicultural symbol of American freedom, tolerance, liberty, economic opportunity and prosperity. This is precisely why they were targeted. What better way to honor their memory than to rebuild the VERY SAME structures that the terrorists sought to destroy. This would show the terrorists that even the greatest depths of their hatred cant compare to the ingenuity and dedication of free peoples. Return the towers to our skyline!

We don't need another memorial to terror. Let's rebuild these towers as a memorial to LIFE. Rebuild the towers!

It's common sense that the Twin Towers should be rebuilt to look just as they did before, only this time their structural frame would of superior design. I think seeing the Twin Towers rise back into the skyline is just the boost Americans need. I always felt it was wrong to banish their image from mainstream media as if they were some form of taboo.

They need to rise from the ashes.

Some standing monument that has no other purpose than to memorialize those innocent victims, would serve to honor the memory of the lives lost in that great tragedy, but to rebuild says to the bastards who would like to see more people die in that fashion that we will always come back; that they cannot destroy forever that which we endeavor to create or the way in which we choose to live and work, which is a far greater testament to the souls of those great Americans.

To not rebuild the Twin Towers is to admit DEFEAT in the war on terror, pure and simple.

Make them the world's tallest buildings again. Inform Islam that, if the towers are attacked again, Mecca and Medina will be turned into huge pieces of art glass forthwith.

By building the towers EXACTLY as they were we are defeating the attackers by reducing the consequences of their attacks. Anything else in that place will be a tribute to those people who destroyed them

The choice is obvious! Do the right thing and put the towers back! The only change should be to add a monument to the brave people lost and to build a few feet TALLER than before to symbolize America will always come back!

Having visited the Towers pre 9/11, my then fiance and I had the privilege of kissing on the observation elevator to the top of the WTC. Sadly, no one else can do that again. Rebuild the Twins; a few stories higher. This time do the construction so they will not collapse and with proper fireproofing and stair escapes.

Let the rebuild of the Twin Towers be a demonstrative action of America's unwavering commitment to support the freedom on which this nation was built.

Born and raised in NYC, I vividly remember watching the Twin Towers get built while a student at the HS of Music & Art. I will always be a New Yorker wherever life takes me, and I meet many people who ask: "why are they doing something different, they should rebuild them using the same exact design, just stronger!"

Pre-2001 exterior with viable helio pads on roofs and the appropriate floors commemoratively marked.
Interior updated to the height of fashion complete with elevator walls that act as memorials.

Make a statement to the world and the terrorists that tried to break our spirits and rebuild the twin towers even higher.

The only way to stand tall is to continue pressing on the GWOT while at the same time rebuilding to show these people we refuse to allow them to dictate our lives.

Not only MUST these buildings be rebuilt, but if they aren't, then we allow these terrorist monsters to win, because it shows we live in fear. I feel robbed never have seen the Twin Towers in person. I have been to ground zero since and want to see them rebuilt with a more robust structural design. I live in NC and I get pissed off when I see the NY skyline w/o the twin towers. The only option is to rebuild the towers the way they were!!! Show the terrorist that the United States of America is and will remain strong.

I have thought from the beginning that the Towers should be rebuilt to look exactly as they were. I think that would send the perfect message to the terrorists and any of our other enemies, to show them that we will not be deterred.

The towers need to be rebuilt as they were. They were beautiful and awe inspiring then and will be again.

im all for rebuilding the towers as they were. the recent proposal, while nice, doesnt reflect the true grandeur of the orginal wtc...and that would be an excellent smack in the face of those cowards hiding in the mountain caves in between pakistan and afghanistan.

Those buildings dominated the NYC skyline. They were ripped away by madmen. I can't believe any NY'er would let that stand.
