I lived in northern NJ all of my life until 2002. I was in NYC that awfula day & still miss the beauty of those buildings. They deserve to grace the skyline and be an inpsiration of hope to all of us again. Please build them back up!

The current plan is nothing more than evidence of the continued emasculation of American power and national identity. The current plan and it's international theme is an insult to New York City, NY, United States of America.
It would be a huge slap in the face if we didn't rebuild the twin towers exactly as they were before that fateful day that they fell. If they weren't important, then why do they appear in almost every movie that was filmed in NYC prior to their collapse? REBUILD THE WORLD TRADE CENTER EXACTLY AS IT WAS BEFORE.

Just got back from NYC & visiting the WTC site. Yes! Rebuild. You already have the blueprints and did it before. Structural flaws?? Buildings don't need to be designed expecting to have planes crash into them. Put an anti-aircraft missle launcher on top.
Not putting them back shows we are afraid they will hit them again. Put them back and protect the hell out of them!
I was living in New Jersey on 9/11. I know live in Florida. I can't stand the was lower Manhattan looks. From day one I thought the Towers should be rebuilt taller and better than ever. We have the technology. I hope we have the will, too.
The Towers were a symbol of the United States and they should be again.
The Twin Towers should be rebuilt exactly as they once stood. Any other alternative does not reflect the simple truth that this country should not be intimidated by terrorists.
Nothing we do will tell the terrorists that we are unbowed and unbroken like rebuilding the twin towers. There are a few perfect symbols of NY and those towere became one of them.
I want to see the twin towers return to the NY skyline, not some other artistic, politically correct sculpture.
America as a whole suffered in the tragedy of 9/11 and we should all have a say as to what building returns there.
The Twin Towers should have been rebuilt immediately following a study of the structural failures, and new technologies to correct that. Build the Towers!!
Rebuild the towers so they appear as they were, or even a little taller. Build them stronger with enhanced internal structure so they can never again be knocked down by any sort of cheap-shot, 9/11-style attack. Why is this not obvious to those in charge? Why are they still in charge? The "freedom tower" concept is hideous and the top of it looks like a pig's penis.

What better tribute to those who fight? What better memorial to those who died? What better message of hope to those who continue to struggle? What better warning to those who hate us? What worse message to send than doing nothing at all? Build it back. Build it better. Build it bigger. Let people here and around the world know that we will not break, that we will not yield, that our will is strong.
The Twin Towers should be rebuilt. As tall as before with a design that is both different and similar to before.
Anything less than rebuilding the original TwinTowers, stronger than before, is unacceptable and a victory for all those who would attack New York and America.
The right thing to do is to re-build the twin towers. We as a country should stand strong in the face of muslim extremism and political correctness and not be intimidated. Re-build the twin towers to demonstrate the USA's commitment to freedom for all people.
The best piece of mind is to build it back. Make NYC and this nation whole again.
I'm a fire fighter and a fellow American, and I don't believe that less is more. More is more, put them back and if you are going to change anything add a few stories.
For many average Americans, the Twin Towers represented an indelible image of what makes America strong. Since 9/11 this image has been re-enforced and re-enforced. The Twin Towers now symbolize everything that terrorism around the world seeks to rob from freedom-loving peoples. Until we rebuild the towers, the healing of America's wound will be only partial.
The towers must be rebuilt exactly like if not taller than the old ones! The present plans look like buildings in suburban Houston--where I'm from.
American did not shut down Pearl Harbor after the Japanese attacked it -- America built the most fearsome Navy in the history of the world and destroyed the Imperial Japanese Navy.

I grew up in NJ and the twin towers always represented NYC. When the towers came down, I remember driving down route 17 days after the attack occurred and seeing that gap on the horizon and cried, wondering when everything would ever be "right" again. Re-building the towers would be a start.
Rebuild the Two Towers. Make the NY skyline look as if their cowardly, demonic action had no effect whatsoever.

It's common sense, and should have been done already. China's capital of Beijing is exploding in creativity and beautiful buildings, why cant NYC have something that is iconic again. Do it NYC.

Please stop acting like it does not matter. I took my kids to see NYC and we saw the giant whole. Next time we go I (not would like) WANT them back the same way they were. Please use Donald Trump to get it done.
My brother-in-law, a Viet Nam Vet (Marine) was one of the masons who worked on building the Twin Towers, this was a piece of his legacy as well as that of many other Americans. Nothing would please this man's family more than to see his work, his blood and sweat infused in the buildings skeleton, rebuilt in it's original form.
