I lived in NYC during 9/11. The Twin Towers must be built back stronger and taller.
There is no other way! Dont let this great city have a symbol of fear embedded in its skyline.
Honor those who died! Dont let defeat be branded on all Americans .
I have been in Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Los Angelas and ….. New York – the big Apple. But the Apple is not big anymore. It lacks those great buildings for 4.5 years now. I cannot believe that the Americans are not going to rebuild the twin towers. Not rebuilding is ultimately the surrender to the terrorists!!!
I believe this is the third time I’ve signed the petition over the last few years. My sentiment remains the same: rebuilding the twin towers goes beyond those 2 buildings, beyond that one city, beyond any border. The human spirit and the resiliency of good over evil is really at stake here. It may sound a bit extreme, but in my mind anything other that seeing the twin towers stand again would be a defeat and the begining of an inevitable slide into darkness. Rebuild – now.
I simply won’t believe and can’t accept that New York, a city that has always cherished the history and identity of the melting pot that defines it, would turn its back on its own history and heritage. The Twin Towers are (in present tense on purpose) a symbol of New York, the USA and all people in the world who cherish freedom, democracy and global peace. Together they stand for what human kind can accomplish when they stop destroying each other for a moment. I guess the reactions of the citizens of New York, and all other people that cared on 9/11, speak for themselves. Everybody misses them, everybody feels the gaping hole, most of them want them back! Pataki and the likes, go home and put a statue of yourself in your garden if you want to be remembered once you pass away…
Minoru Yamasaki would be turning in his grave if he saw the state of the WTC today and the jokers in charge of it. REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS!!! Building new twin towers is the only TRUE way to restore the New York skyline and also stand as a memorial to the heros of 9/11. When the towers fell I really expected the politicians and people in charge to do the right thing and rebuild new twin towers. It’s been very disappointing and sad that they’ve ignored what the majority want and to design a new symbol that only glorifies themselves.
We must restore this simbol of liberty along with a memorial in onor of victmis died. Rebuilding the World Trade Center Twin Towers, we show to all the world that terrorists have failed! Rebuld the Towers!!!!
Please let them come to their senses and rebuild the Twin Towers.
New York has to have it’s skyline restored.

December 2001 was my first time in NY and it would be my first time on these Great Towers.
My Husband had already been there and now it was my turn.
9/11 came and it was horrible the Towers with all those people went down. I could not believe what i saw, tears where flooding.
For all these victims who died, who were proud to work in the Towers, REBUILD !!
And restore the famous Skyline of NY.
I want to see the Twin Towers raise. They have hidden beauty and characters, unlike the other buildings. When I see TV programmes or films without Twin Towers and it makes me angry. The Twins deserves to be back and I want to visit them when they are
The Twin Towers motif must be restored — and in a way that truly fills the unbelievable hole from September 11th. An identical second Freedom Tower could do that… but the Belton-Gardner design should really get first preference.
They wanted the Twin Towers gone. As long as the Towers stay gone, the haters of the US and all it stands for will feel a certain satisfaction. Let the WTC rise again to put these representatives of the premodern ages on notice that their world is on
I like the old skyline… Twin Towers was beautifull. I still believe that it will be rebuild. Do you think that something famous like Eifell tower or London Big Ben should be replaced with some twisted glass structure?
The Twin Towers, so beautiful! What an achievment! Rebuild them to show the world that terrorism will not win! Two Towers-side by side, united, sybolic of a desire for world unity! Give NY back it’s great skyline! Reach for the sky, reach for peace!
How else can you ‘lead’ the world if you cower behind the facade that is. Be strong and build strong, you will have many more shed a tear at the sight of the great towers rising high, a wondrous sight to behold.
If change is needed, make them taller. That’s all. Keep them looking the same as before, identical in all other respects, so that the enemies of democracy can see their misguided beliefs mocked and ridiculed.
We (the free and democratic world) need this symbol of freedom back. Let’s rebuild the twin towers as an enduring symbol of hope and peace. Let’s make them even stronger and taller. Terror will never win. Love, freedom and democracy will prevail.

It’s the right thing to do. Heal the skyline. Bring back the towers which were among the world’s most important symbols for peace and liberty.

We need to rebuilt the towers jast as they were or even bigger to show American resolve!

Build them back. Even if the decision is to use ground zero for some other less adequate “monument”, the towers should be rebuilt, in NJ if necessary.
