  1. The towers should be rebuilt , no doubt about it. To let the terrorists have the final say in the destroyed NY skyline would be nothing but a second tragic event and anyone participating in the thought of constructing anything other then what once stood there has never been in the towers and understood what they represented. The Pentagon was not scrapped so why should the towers be? REBUILT TO THEIR FORMER GLORY!

  2. Rebuild the Twin Towers. Taller, Stronger and Prouder to demonstrate that while any fool can destroy, it takes brains and guts to build. And that they might occasionally inflict pain, but that they have no hope of subduing us.

  3. I knew one of the people who died in the 9/11 attack, and knowing Maynard as I did he would be the first in line to say rebuild the Towers to show the terrorists we can’t be beaten!

  4. From the very begining, this nation was defined by the belief that our future, will be better than our past, that no matter what hardship we faced, no matter what heartbreak we endured, we have the character, and the strength to make tomorow better than our greatest dreams. If Two Towers should fall, we would Rebuild them, thrice.
Nothing less, will be acceptable to our national pride.

  5. My family from colombia, where evil is tryin to take over a democratic government. Where the president just won re-election this past sunday. he such an honest man, he doesnt pay himself, and the people urged their congress so that they can change the laws so that he could run for a 3rd term. Remember seeing him cry on 911, and colombians and my family cried. i think its probably due to fear and were shocked that america was attacked. Its not falling, its the getting up that counts.Never Forget

  6. I miss the Twin Towers daily, even though I am not in New York. I feel that stronger, bigger, and better would more appropriately symbolize american resolve.

  7. To do anything other than rebuilding the towers (possibly bigger and certainly better), albeit well-intentioned, would be akin to raising a monument to terrorism.

  8. Those that sought to destroy us shall see that freedom makes us strong. The followers of Islamic extremists will be defeated. Rebuild the towers as a monument to those that died and message to the evil zealots to see.

  9. We need to feel that no one is going to hurt the U.S.A. with out us trying to fight back and rebuild the Towers. So that we will always remember the ones that lost there lives that morning 9/11/2001.

  10. I would add a category: “touched by 911”
An Air Force Officer, friend and classmate of my daughter was in the Pentagon that day, survived.
My next door neighbor’s doctor was aboard one of the 767s.
    Touched twice.

  11. The Twin Towers should be rebuilt. They were powerful symbols and nothing different would have as profound an effect on me. I know there are other people who feel the same way. Whatever lack of approval I may feel for any particular part of our goverment or laws, I am always aware of my great fortune to be born in this country. Those Twin Towers represented part of America, and I have always felt awe at the sight of them in the skyline in Manhattan. NYC looks diminished without them.

  12. I’d like to see the rebuilt stuctures look the same from the outside – just improved on the inner structure.
