I don’t understand why so many people are against bringing back the REAL WORLD TRADE CENTER, instead of some pathetic looking Freedom Tower that looks like it should be from planet Krypton. Those terrorists knocked down the REAL WTC down on purpose, what would be a better statement than to put back twin towers that LOOK identical all the way to the last toilet, to show bin Laden our defiance, rather than an IMPOSTER????
I dont even live in NY.. And I want nothing more to see those beautiful twin towers back just the way they were.. Not only would it make me and all New Yorkers happy, It would be the ULTIMATE F U To AL Qiada and what ever other country celebrated when they fell….
Using money on an expensive memorial only shows the world how much they can hurt us.. Rebuilding shows we honor the sacrifice of those we lost by refusing to let the threat of death deter us from our dedication to freedom.
I think the towers should rise again. They were great symbols in New York and of America. They need to stand once again. They were ours and the terrorists took them from us. Let’s send them a message that we are not intimidated by their act against us. To build anything less shows our fear and inability to protect ourselves against future attacks.
The Twin Towers, to me at least, stood for our country’s financial center and a proud monument to the people who deal with our finances. When they were taken down, we not only lost over 3,000 people along with very pricey property, we lost the SYMBOL of our finances and our accomplishments. To rebuild the towers as they were (built stronger, of course) we would be respecting those who gave their lives, their loved-one’s lives and those of us who just simply felt assaulted and violated.
This needs to happen! who would we be if we didnt rebuild! we need to stand strong and show those terrorists and the whole world that we will not back down!
Rebuild. Simply put. I think that it would be more of a slap in the face to those who did this to us if we rebuild, than the “slap on the face” we Americans endured on 9/11. I first visited NYC for one reason only. To see the Twin Towers, I didn’t care if I liked the city, I didn’t care if I ever wanted to go back (which by the way I love NYC and will return many times in my life) but I wanted to see the towers. I am lucky to have seen them while they stood. I am proud to be an American.
I was a New Yorker all my life, but now live in Florida. NY is just not the same anymore. I made a vow that if they ever rebuild the towers, I would move back to Brooklyn.
To build anything less than the twin towers would be giving our enemies what they want. We must rebuild, because if we don’t, they win. Show them our strength, our resolve, our determination to preserve our freedom.
I remember in 1988 visiting NYC and the first place I went was the WTC. I remember the awe and excitment of the twin towers. The view from one, the north tower I think, was so incredible I have never been able to top it. The twin towers made NYC far more different and impressive than any other city. Without the towers, NYC is just another big city, just another city with it’s own type of attitude. My heart sank on 9/11, rebuild the towers and all our hearts will be lifted in inspiration.

Restore what once was. If not, you let them win.

We’re cowards if we don’t rebuild bigger and taller than before.
I am a native New Yorker, now living in Las Vegas. Build them, build them bigger and better and do it ASAP.
One tower: terrorists win; two towers – WE win!

With everything the United States has rebuilt for others, why can’t we show the world that what has been will be again?

Proud to be an American!

Rebuild the Twin Towers!!
Rebuild the Twin Towers. It will be both a sign of our intent to continue and a beacon of resolve to the world.
Terrorism only truly succeeds when we remain in fear.

Do the right thing and do the thing right!
I THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!!!
Build them bigger and stronger!
