America in representing strength, courage and freedom. If you built the Twin Towers as they were, thousands of people will flock to see them. Should you decide to build the “Freedom Tower” it will fail because nothing belongs on that land except the Twin Towers. That land is sacred and symbolic to us Americans and the world.
Give us back our skyline. Give our towers. New York City is the greatest city in the history of the world….including anciet Rome, and all that came after. Don’t let the dream of rebuilding die. On September 11, 2001 we all became New Yorkers.
Indeed, the Twin Towers were, and are iconic. In a lot of ways, they are part of America, our America, that will not soon be replaced, but will stand back up when knocked down. Let us not be ‘reborn’ as something different, but come back as something proud and proven, something more like the best nation in the world.

The Freedom Tower design is a ridiculous abdication of our collective duty to honor the losses and sacrifices we saw on that clear September day. Rebuild the towers – each a foot taller. Every day that Ground Zero remains an empty, open wound is a day that the terrorists draw strength from our fecklessness. The time has come for us to remedy this. Rebuild the towers!
It’s outrageous that the Twin Towers are not being rebuilt! I personally prefer Donald Trump’s plan. The towers can be built on different footprints and with a suitable memorial to those that died on 9/11/2001, using the latest technology for safety and security. They can also each be built at least 1 story taller, to symbolize our triumph over terrorism. Politicians should ALWAYS be our servants, rather than our masters.
Putting the Twin Towers back exactly the way they were is the best way to show the world that we will not be defeated, we will not be intimidated and we always rise above our challenges.
As a former Weehauken Resident, I used to awake every morning to the site of the towers. I moved away in 2000 and have not been back because of the heartbreak of the signt of them not being there. Rebuild is the only option.

The Statue of Liberty is the “Welcome” to our country, but the Twin Towers is the Inspiration. Rebuilding them is the ONLY WAY to show other countries that the USA is the best country in the world. Stop being stupid and rebuild them exactly the same.
When I was a kid and got knocked down in a fight, every time I got back up again, the concern on the face of my opponent was clearly visible. Expecting to have won the fight, he became somewhat unnerved every time I got back up to look him in the eye. There were a few times when I got my butt kicked but I never lost a fight.
It’s time to send the same message to our opponents in this war. Knock us down and we will get right back up again to look you straight in the eye!
The solution is simple…rebuild it, but add at least 2 additional stories, which could be used as a memorial. I would make it an excact replica except for the additional height. May God contimue to bless America, and may we continue to deserve it.
I’m not really sure why I want to present another target for rabid Muslim terrorists; but I believe that there are other targets on a list somewhere. To not rebuild the towers is an acknowledgment that the rabid Muslims won the day. We shouldn’t allow the empty New York skyline to forever be an icon of that victory. The rebuilding would be ideological response that says stick it you ear!
American memorials should be reinforced with a hearty measure of resolve. Rebulding the twin towers is the ONLY way to show that the fascist murderers who attacked us cannot change or destroy our way of life. Let’s put politics, money and investment arguments aside for once, especially for those who died on 9/11.
