It would be a huge slap in the face if we didn’t rebuild the twin towers exactly as they were before that fateful day that they fell. If they weren’t important, then why do they appear in almost every movie that was filmed in NYC prior to their collapse? REBUILD THE WORLD TRADE CENTER EXACTLY AS IT WAS BEFORE.

I lived in northern NJ all of my life until 2002. I was in NYC that awfula day & still miss the beauty of those buildings. They deserve to grace the skyline and be an inpsiration of hope to all of us again. Please build them back up!

Rebuild them just as they were only use asbestos on the interior structure. If this had been done originally they may have made it through the September 11 attack. Lawyers
kept that from happening and lawyers are a big part of the delay in allowing the Twin
Towers to be rebuilt.
Rebuild them bigger, better, taller and more extragavant! If we don’t rebuild them (or if we don’t build something close to the original), then the terrorists have won. We cannot allow them to affect our decision making nor our daily lives.

I never understood why this wasn’t the plan from the beginning. What could be a better way to show we won’t be forced to change our way of living than to defiantly put the Towers back. Additionally, what could possibly be a better memorial to all those who tragically passed away in those buildings than to re-erect (sorry, not sure if that’s a word) the original structures. They don’t have to be on the “footprints” of the original Towers, I completely understand that that is hallowed ground

The towers are so beautiful. The new plan is both costly and the current design is ugly too modern and show a flowery approach when the concrete and steel is what we need.
I want the Twin Towers rebuilt and stronger than the previous ones. I want them to be 2 giant middle fingers to our enemies and all those rejoiced when it happened.
Frankly, it’s embarrassing to me as American they haven’t been rebuilt by now! It is so obvious this is the right thing to do, not just for NY and USA, but to show the rest of the world they can’t knock us down. The Towers, when rebuilt, would be more popular than ever and would restore the NY skyline.

When someone sprays graffiti…the best solution is often to repaint as quick as possible so as to reduce the exposure for the vandal – minimize his perceived success. Our situation is no different…only the vandal is bigger and distruction bigger.
