I grew up in NJ and the twin towers always represented NYC. When the towers came down, I remember driving down route 17 days after the attack occurred and seeing that gap on the horizon and cried, wondering when everything would ever be “right” again. Re-building the towers would be a start.

I’m a fire fighter and a fellow American, and I don’t believe that less is more. More is more, put them back and if you are going to change anything add a few stories.
The right thing to do is to re-build the twin towers. We as a country should stand strong in the face of muslim extremism and political correctness and not be intimidated. Re-build the twin towers to demonstrate the USA’s commitment to freedom for all people.

I want to see the twin towers return to the NY skyline, not some other artistic, politically correct sculpture.
America as a whole suffered in the tragedy of 9/11 and we should all have a say as to what building returns there.
Nothing we do will tell the terrorists that we are unbowed and unbroken like rebuilding the twin towers. There are a few perfect symbols of NY and those towere became one of them.
The Twin Towers should be rebuilt exactly as they once stood. Any other alternative does not reflect the simple truth that this country should not be intimidated by terrorists.

In the days after 911, I remember commenting that the OBVIOUS course of action was to rebuild the towers exactly as they were before (in appearance).
