  1. Good Morning,

The best suggestion I have heard was to build THREE TOWERS w/ the center taller than the others…..ALL FACING EAST!!!!!!!

PS My compliments to the author.

  2. The Twin Towers were as much of a New York ikon as The Empire State Building or any of the other great buildings in the city. I say rebuild the towers and spit in the face of the radical terriorists that took them down.

  3. I grew up in New Jersey and visited the WTC on many class trips. I want the Twin Towers rebuilt so my heart can leap again whenever I see New York!

  4. Rebuild the towers! Taller, stronger, with an excessive extravagance of ‘bigger is better’ born of the undefeated, unconquerable American spirit. Let them be beacons signaling to an envious world that we intend to fulfill our Manifest Destiny. Show them Iranian monkeys who restack the same 2,000 year old stones after each earthquake, how civilized people rebuild.

  5. Yes! Rebuilding the towers IS the right thing to do. Anything less than a total restoration of two equally tall and functional buildings will be seen as a victory for the terrorists. We should NOT allow them to win.

  6. I agree with this idea completely. Resurrecting the Towers would inspire America and defy the sick losers who perpetrated and approved of the 9-11-01 attack.

  7. Like most Americans I was devistated by what happened to the WTC and the Twin Towers. They were more than a landmark, they were a national symbol that represented the strength of our democracy. I can’t imagine going to New York with my family someday and seeing this so-called Freedom Tower. I haven’t liked this idea from the start and quite frankly never will like this plan for the WTC site. If a majority of Americans want the Twin Towers rebuilt then let’s do it.

  8. Why would anything else be done? The message sent back to those who would try and tear us down with fear. We rebuild in this town and country!

  9. Some things stand eternal. That’s the way I and everyone I know feels about rebuilding the Towers just as they were, except one floor higher. I never understood the new design or what it was to represent, they were just buildings that looked like they were from a science fiction comic book. The only true way to honor those fallen and to reflect the resiliancy of the American people is to rebuild the Towers.

  10. Remember “we will rebuild”? Rebuild the twin towers and restore the NYC skyline. This would hurt terrorist morale more than any military offensive.

  11. Bring back the towers. I volunteer to man the anti-aircraft missle battery on top for three eight hour stretches, once a week, every year for the rest of my productive life. Seriously.

  12. I will sometimes watch old movies just because I know they show a scene that has the twin towers pre 9/11. Certainly rebuilding the World Trade Center’s twin towers as the world knows them will show the determination of the American people to not given in to terrorism. This would be the right thing to do to honor the thousands of people who went to work that September day and never went home. I have hoped that the owner/”powers that be” would get it right build them again better and higher

  13. No memorial to 9/11 would be complete without the Twin Towers, rebuilt, resplendent, in tribute to the fallen heroes and rebuke to the terrorists.

    Lets roll!

  14. I agree completely with the heart of this petition, but we should not rebuild the towers exactly as they were. We should make them bigger, better, stronger.

That said, the new WTC should recall the aesthetic of the original buildings. They will tell us how much we loved the old designs, what they meant to us as a nation, and how we plan to move forward in this century and the next, and the next.

Anytime I see the Manhattan Skyline in an old movie, it’s like a dagger through my heart.

  15. Back in 2001, I was disappointed when hearing that the Towers wouldn’t be rebuilt…I wondered if there was something structurally unsound about the site… I had no idea it was a political unsound-ness. This is a great idea, they should be rebuilt, bigger and taller, and as soon as possible.

  16. Why would we not rebuild this site as it stood before, as a statment to those who wish to destroy us. As Winston Churchill said in his Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat speech, You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all cost – Victory in spite of all terrors – Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival.

  21. Rebuilding of the Twin Towers would be, in my opinion, the ULTIMATE memorial to those who died at the hands of those crazies from the sand box.
