On 11Sep01 I watched the Pentagon burn and then I was able to watch over the next year as it was rebuilt. New York needs the same thing. The only change might be to add a floor. Otherwise, our enemies can always look at the New York skyline and smile.

I really was inspired when NYC put up those two beams of light shooting up into the skyline in remembrance. Can you imagine the Twin Towers rebuilt, say a foot higher, with those same two beams lighting on top of them? Now that would be a sight for sore eyes! Rebuild the Towers!
This is the biggest travesty in american history did we shut down pearl when the japs attacked it. NO! why not? because it would have been the wrong thing to do!!! the only reason the people in charge that includes the local state and federal governments have not allowed the towers to be rebuilt is because they haven`t done their job on securing the borders and keeping tabs on non citizens
Our elected officials better remember that there are more than just the sound byte and “what entitlements will you give me?” voters out here in real America. You better get in touch with the rest of us or your days will be numbered. What a symbol of America’s greatness and strength it would have been if we had governmental leadership that would have stood shoulder to shoulder with each other and rebuilt these towers right away. Changing the architecture of the twin towers would NOT make the new constuction the Twin Towers! It would be different and America needs to show terrorists that we will not change for them. Also, by building the Twin Towers as they were exactly would also motivate fellow Americans that we are a Still the land of the Free and the Home of the brave, and not hide behind some reconstructed towers that will be a constant reminder of the horrific day of Sept. 11. We are Americans. We went to the moon! We have a rover on Mars! We settled this continent, and built these great cities. All the plans other than just simply replacing the towers are ugly, stupid, insipid, and insulting to Americans.

Make the new buildings 50 – 100′ taller. I would put one of my company offices up there if I can afford it.

It’s the only message we can really send to terrorists that says you didn’t win.
I lost my job after 9/11 and relocated to Iowa. The least they can do is rebuild it to the way it was.
