We should also hallow the ground at the site, but in the plan, they do both. I think that’s the most important thing & probably is to all Americans. We don’t have to turn the site into an art project – it defeats the purpose, alters the skyline like the terrorists wanted, & shows we can be shaken into changing our way of life.
I Live in Brooklyn and i thought the Twin Towers were gorgeous and now the skyline just looks empty and it brakes my heart. I am a muslim myself and i think nothing would be a better slap in the face to osama then to rebuild the towers the way they were before I LOVED THOSE Towers and i dont like the freedom tower i dont like the thougt of one large tower sticking out of the NYC skyline. i say BRING BACK THE THE TWIN TOWERS it will also be a great tribute to all the families that lost loved ones.
The Twin Towers are an icon of America. They represent the opportunity and prosperity that much of the world admires (or even envys.) Build the Towers back just as they were + 1 more floor! (as well as a memorial in the courtyard.)
I am a native born New Yorker living in Texas.When the towers went down it broke everyones hearts,the best way to stick it to the shit that cowardly attacked the symbol of american strength and ingenuity would be to build the towers only bigger.Anything else to me is a defeat plain and simple..
I agree with Dave Roset, rebuild them just as they were with one extra floor each. On those extra floors put an Army base with radar guided gatling guns. The Freedom Tower is perhaps the ugliest building I have ever seen.
The Twin Towers were a beautiful landmark. If they were rebuilt, it would proove that anything can be done. Rebuilding the towers would be like us saying, “Nothing can keep us down.”
I think it is a great idea to rebuild the Twin Towers. If we rebuild the Towers then we are showing that we are trying to rebuild our country too. We are also proving to other countries that we will stop at nothing, I think if we rebuild the Towers would be completing our nation. I think that the US should rebuild the twin towers; for memorial purposes also. It will be a step foward for the US. We can say that we aren’t going to let this stop us.

I definitely support the wtc being rebuilt. The Freedom tower is nice, but it just doesn’t have the “wow” factor like the wtc did. I always wanted to visit New York and see the Twin Towers. In fact, I always thought of the World Trade Center first and the Empire State Building second when it came to buildings in New York. 9/11 took this option from me and I’d love to have them back.
On September 11th 2001, New York had its two front teeth knocked out by terrorists. We cannot let New York remain toothless. We must rebuild, there is no other way to recover.
I cannot believe they could even consider ruining the new york skyline. I always wanted to see the towers. I’m sure the people who lost their lives in the attack would want them back. I can’t speak for new yorkers but I think the Freedom Tower is absolute worst idea. THE ONLY COURAGEOUS AND AMERICAN THING TO DO IS BUILD THE TOWERS BACK!!!!!
All of my life i have wanted to travel to NYC just to see the Twin Towers. They make the skyline for NYC. I think the freedom tower is ugly and ruins New York. We shouldnt be afraid of terrorists and only build one tower, lets fight and make two twin towers, and remember our past as well as look to the future.

It’s the “broken windows” principle on a large scale. We fixed the Pentagon pretty quickly, didn’t we.

Larry promised us that he’d rebuild. He said it himself, and if I remember correctly, with the money he got from the attacks.
If he promised us to REBUILD, not REPLACE, then why are we replacing? Why are we helping Osama finish the attacks he planned almost 8 years ago?
