I remember when they built the twin towers. We would drive into the city from Jersey and see the progress. They were part of our heritage, part of our culture. We should do the right thing. Rebuild the towers and let the world see we have no fear.
I believe this is a work for Americans. If it is economically viable, I believe the towers should be rebuilt. Get the defeatest and and ney sayers out of the way. Let the builders and creators and visionaries of America do what they have always done, “Get the job done”.
On a trip to New York in 2000, my father promised me that “next time” we would climb those great silver monoliths I saw in the distance. “Next time” was in 2004.
Please, Mr. President, Honourable Congressmen, developers and people of New York and the United States, do not make my father a liar.
I was supposed to be in the twin towers when they went down. Me and my family were in the car when my cousin got sick last minute. My aunt called my mother and told her that we had to get back home (we were on the way) and turn the t.v. on. We did so right as the second plane crashed into the tower. I’m extreamly happy that my cousin Luke got sick and I love him to death. :]

This so called freedom tower is a big joke & looks extremely ugly! what a horrible waste of taxpayers money! it seems as if what the public wants is falling on deaf ears and is never reported in the media! PLEASE bring the twin towers back stronger & better than ever.
I always hated the freedom tower. Building that horrible Tower where the once two greatest buildings in America use to be is untolorable. I don’t know how they could just fall back like that. We are Americans. We take a hit, we get right back up, dust ourselves off and keep on fighting. We are a free nation. We have the most advanced military in the world and some of the most greatest landmarks in the world. The WTC was a great landmark but by rebuilding (not replacing) we will never forget 9/11.

The Twin Towers ARE a part of America’s history, achievements and iconic standing worldwide. I want my children to grow up knowing terrorism is indeed a real thing in the world today, but not to fear it. To be courageous enough to stand up for what is right and to know America is strong and will not falter.
I do agree, I would love to see this re-built. A native of Chicago, I have not been to NYC. But those towers represent strength, the kind that does not come from a monument. Those towers were not just Manhattan. They were the first sign of financial power from the Atlantic heading westward. A beautiful and unique stance for America as a whole. Let’s get them back up.
I have always wanted to see world trade center since I was a kid, and never had a chance to. I strongly believe that the towers should be built to their exact originally.

I think that rebuilding the two skyscrapers would be a great idea and it would be sure to make those terrorists’ jaws drop to see that the buildings they helped destroyed have came back! Maybe they should look at Donald Trump’s design.
I’ve never been to New York City but one of the sites at the top of my list of places to see was always the World Trade Center. The Freedom Tower and the other buildings that are supposed to replace the buildings lost to terrorism just don’t compare. Rebuilding with re-engineered Twin Towers is the most fitting memorial to all of the citizens of the world who were lost. Only then would the skyline say “THIS IS NEW YORK CITY.”. Watching any movie made between 1975 and 2001 will tell you that.
One of the most exiting moments in my visit to NY was overlooking the city from the observation deck. My grand daughter is 10 years old – she can not even imagine what that was like. I would like to see the towers rebuilt – for all the future generations from all over the globe to have that experience. When I watch movies filmed prior to the fall of the towers, it’s like watching movies of a family member that passed on. The skyline has a big hole in its heart without the towers. PLEASE rebuild them.
I fully agree that to build anything less than this plan for a reconstruction of the Twin Towers would only create a permanent scar on our country. Seriously… a 200′ windowless concrete bunker? How does that scream freedom? Nothing would show the resilience, pride, and freedom of the American people than honoring our will and defying our enemies by restoring what was lost. The memorial is also far superior than that proposed with the Freedom Tower. Rebuild the Twin Towers!

I support and encourage the rebuilding of the WTC as it was before; the best way to repair the scar in the NYC skyline is to replace the towers!

Absolutely…I’m from the midwest and love New York City. I really miss those two beautiful towers – New York City looks naked without them.
