  2. Please rebuild– I agree that the best memorial would be a rebuild. We should not allow ourselves as Americans to be controlled by those who made the choice to destroy that which we as Americans held so dear. If we do not rebuild then “they” will continue to try and tear us down, and could very likely succeed. It wasn’t just Americans that were affected–it was the world. I implore you to rebuild to help heal the hole in all of our hearts. This has affected us all.

  4. I BELIEVE THE WORLD TRADE CENTERS SHOULD BE REBUILT BIGGER AND BETTER THAN BEFORE. TO SHOW THE ENEMY THAT WE WILL NEVER EVER FORGET AND WILL WORK HARD TO FIND THOSE RESPONIBLE.

  5. Finally, a common sense approach, as to what to build at ground zero, is catching on. Rebuild the towers, bigger, better and stronger! God Bless America…

  6. I support the rebuilding of the Twin Towers. Please restore the pride and respect of our country by showing those who participated in these horrible acts of terrorism that we can and will stand tall once again.

  7. I believe we should rebuild the WTC area just as it was, there would be great tribute to bring things back and show they world we can move on. It will also how we are not in grandious in our architecture or gawdy.

I think classic rebuild is the only way.

  8. In “The Social Contract” Rousseau writes:” but [men can] only unite and direct existing ones [forces], they have no other means of preserving themselves than the formation, by aggregation, of a sum of forces great enough to overcome the resistance… This sum of forces can arise only where several persons come together: but, as the force and liberty.” Only united can we stand against a common foe; let the towers stand to remind us of those who fell, those who serve, and our commitment to liberty.

  9. I believe rebuilding the Twin Towers and WTC complex is a great way to show America’s strength and ability to over come. This in my opinion is better symbol of our freedom the Freedom Tower. Also, if acceptable to the families of the victims to this tragic event, the memorials planned on the footprints of the previous towers would be an honorable tribute. Memorials paying tribute to Americans who lost their lives in the name of freedom should not be required to charge a fee to cover costs.

  10. When I joined the Navy one of the places Ive always wanted to go to was the Twin Towers. But thanks to the cowards that destroyed them Im SOL. I say rebuild them as they were before but a little bit taller. Now that Im stationed in VA on a carrier I hope to enjoy the site of NY with the twins.

  11. Many lost friends, family, or loved ones that day. As for those of us who were not struck with the same loss we still felt a great pain. It is a day that will always be remembered in my life and I am sure others’ as well. Rebuilding the Twin Towers would be an outstanding memorial and would stand for much more. Its a symbol of our unity, pain, and shows that we are not afraid. I support the rebuilding of these buildings that have a place in history and America’s heart.

  12. There wouldn’t be a greater tribute to the victims or a better way to bring America back from tragedy than to rebuild the twin towers stronger and higher than they ever were before. It would show the world that we as a nation can triumph over tragedy and we will always move forward and rebuild. The new towers will send a clear message to the terrorists that America is strong and can’t be brought down. Please rebuild the twin towers!!

  15. Rebuild the twin towers! As I said 7 years ago on 9-11, lets build them 10 stories taller and better! One day I would love to take my kids to visit them as I did when I was a child. USA could have had those things up by now if we would have just rebuilt them.

  16. PLEASE rebuild the twin towers! We need to show the world what the U.S. is made of and rebuild what we lost. The victims would want us to rebuild them as they were. We cannot bring back those lives we lost, however, we can rebuild the towers to show the world that we will not live in fear. It would be a nice “slap in the face” to those who enjoyed watching what happened on 9-11.

  17. With all due respect to the Freedom Tower designers and those who organized that planning, the Freedom Tower is not New York. It is not a symbol just because it has ‘freedom’ in its name. Build a symbol; build two. Please rebuild the towers; the country will be behind that effort. Do the right thing.

    Thank You

  19. The original Twin Towers were more than just buildings. They were a macrocosm of all that makes our country unique, and a symbol of the enduring American spirit. The Twin Towers need to be rebuilt to stand bigger and taller than ever before. Anything less is simply unacceptable.

  20. I have nothing against the architects or even the design of the new freedom tower. All the new towers look nice and I’m sure would make great office buildings. But after such a tragedy and the loss of one of America’s greatest symbols, the freedom tower just doesnt cut it. Honestly I think we as a country deserve more. We need something bolder, something that slaps the terrorists in the face, and I think rebuilding stronger, taller, better twin towers would be the greatest thing we could ever do.

  21. Rebuild The Twin Towers! They don’t belong in history ! They belong in the Present! The New Twin Towers will show new generations of people in person what the original twin towers were once like.

  22. The Freedom Tower, while a good idea, is unfortunately not of the same magnitude as what once stood there. Building it will ultimately show the terrorists they were successful in the attacks on our country, as the site will remain forever changed. Instead we must show everyone that while we may fall down, we will ALWAYS get back up again and stand stronger than ever. Rebuild the Twin Towers EXACTLY as they were, as they are a TRUE symbol of freedom in this great nation.

  23. I would love to see the towers rebuilt as they were. I remember looking at them everyday from my grandmothers 16th floor apartment in Brooklyn. I’m no longer a New Yorker but I dream about seeing those Towers because I did everyday of my life for 20 years. We NEED our towers back… the Twins as they were.
