The people in those buildings were an irreplaceable fixture of humanity. They were people going to work. In a wonderful structure that was a beacon of promise rising to the sky. I cannot begin to tell you how much I oppose this new structure with unwelcoming hollow doors surrounded by cold concrete. I don’t want to be reminded of the ugliness, I don’t want to be reminded of the shuttering uncomfortable changes that have followed. These memories will not help me, they won’t help the city of New York, and they won’t help the families. No to the death shrine, we need to get back to work.
Let there be no memorial or shrine to celebrate Bin Laden’s death, but let us have our twin towers rebuilt to remember our victory and FREEDOM for democracy.
Now that Osama Bin Laden is dead and gone, we can still get the Twin Towers rebuilt but stronger and better and with a good memorial. I think it’s a wonderfull comforting idea. I think its definitely the best thing america can do in regards to the case. It brings back america its hope pride and honor. I agree that the only way to show the evil terrorists that we can not be swayed in out freedoms and our country is to rebuild the twin towers. Maybe higher, or bigger. Certainly test the steel and materials so that no amount of the hottest fire could bring them down. Replacing 2 towers of that size with one the same size as tower 1 to me is kinda like an admitting of “yeah you got us once”. How about we either place bricks with all the names of the fallen in the foundation or somehow carve their names into the foundation.
As a life-long resident of Oklahoma City, I too live in a city that experienced the horrors of terrorism. National pride dictates that when we get knocked down we get up again. REBUILD THE TOWERS! I’m young, not too old. Always loved the look of the twin towers and it hurts every time I look at the New York City skyline and don’t see them. I just found out that Mayor Bloomberg said that the outdoor observation deck that was on the South Tower’s roof will be missed by many New Yorkers. The outdoor observation deck on the Twin Towers was considered the most popular tourist site in New York City. If we don’t rebuild the Twin Towers, the terrorists win and we as Americans lose.

I remember visiting the Twin Towers when I was a little boy back in 1995 when I was living in New York City. I remember going to the outdoor observation deck of the South Tower and it was breath taking seeing the view of New York City. That is what made me fall in love with the Twin Towers. BECAUSE WHEN THE ORIGINALS WENT DOWN I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO VISIT THEM WHEN THEY WAS AROUND, BUT WHEN THEY DO GET REBUILT I WILL VISIT THEM. THE ONE HERE IN DENVER, COLORADO IS JUST AS SPECIAL LIKE THE ONES IN NEW YORK AND THEY WAS KING OF KINGS. ALL HAIL KING OF KINGS. THAT IS WHY I TREASURE THE LITTLE KEY PENDANT THE KEY BANK IN THERE GAVE TO ME AND THAT IS VERY SACRED AND LIKE THE WORLD TRADE CENTER IT TOO WAS VERY SACRED AND STILL IS THIS VERY DAY. The Freedom Tower is going to be capped and the twin towers might get rebuilt. The Freedom Tower is only 72 stories high right now so this means that we can probably still build the twin towers!
I love skyscrapers, especially the Twin Towers. I want them rebuilt badly, i f*cking hate the “Freedom Tower”. More like Orogami Sh*t Tower, and the other 4 towers are sh*t. Come on, its we the people what we want, NOT THE GOVERNMENT. even Obama has to agree with us. The Twin Towers II would bring back how awesome they looked in the sky. You could see them all over New York. Building the freedom tower is like saying, “ok al-qaeda you win, we give up”. OH HEEEELLLLLLLL NO, none of us want that. If we build the Twin Towers II, we show that al-qaeida has failed, and that will stand for what’s right. Now with Bin Laden dead, i assure you that the Twin Towers II will be standing for long time. I really don’t like what is happening at ground zero. I want the twin towers rebuilt but things are not looking too good. I get the feeling that the twin towers will never be seen again.
