Though I don’t even remember September 11th since I was very young, I just love the Twin Towers. They’re beautiful. And whenever I am reminded that they aren’t being rebuilt and that a new tower will replace it; I am furious. America deserves to have a say at what we want at The World Trade Center. I love the Twin Towers, and although I don’t have any memories of them, I still miss them. I truly hope we can have the towers back in the skyline.
1 and 4 world trade center are almost done. but 2 and 3 world trade center are absent. I believe that space should be used for new twin towers. When the old twin towers were planned they originally were suposed to go on that spot. But plans moved the to the far west side of the site. I think this would make it the way it was intented to be. The east side of the site where 2 and 3 world trade center are planned to go should belong to the twin towers.
I’ve fallen in love with the towers. Even though they’re gone looking at pictures from 1997-2001 it almost looks like they were taken yesterday. But that was 16 years ago. They do not feel gone to me. I personally never got to see the towers but would love to see them in the future (Yes even if they’re rebuilt would still count in my book.) The Towers were an icon to America. If the White House was blown up I am damn sure they would rebuilt it as close as the could. So why not do that with the towers? What’s stopping you?The Freedom Tower looks completely out of place in New York. Replace it with something that looks like it fits. Like if you were doing tile you would replace the old with the same so it doesn’t look goofy.
I have been to NY many times and love seeing the Twin Towers. It was and still is an American icon. The NY skyline isn’t the same without them. They were an engineering marvel and a Mecca for commerce. They were what so many people identified with as Americans. It was the Eiffel Tower of America. Do you think if this happened in France, they wouldn’t rebuilt it? You know they would, so why shouldn’t we??? Every time I see a movie with the Twin Towers in it, it tears me up. It really hurts to see them again and knowing they’re not there. Please rebuild them. It would give so many Americans the hope we all need so desperately. Give us the feeling of pride and glory again. Thank you.
Even before the great incident of 9/11 I was quite fond of the Twins, though I had never been. There is something about two twins in a skyscraper that is unique; you can have one giant building standing alone, however spectacular or well built, but to have two standing vigilant, side by side, gives one a sense of companionship and union. And these particular two have always stood out.
For myself, I’d sure like to visit the Twins in person, having never been able to before 9/11.
I want them back because i was 1 when they fell but i can still have a chance to work and look up at the beautiful site of the most beautiful-est skyscrapers ever built. i want them back more then anyone could imagine please i am sharing this website to help make those beautiful towers stand and show our enemy we can move on and not forget and those towers will be a symbol of Freedom, Liberty, and AMERICAS strength. i watch videos on YouTube and i see people jump to their deaths and i cry and i cry and i pray. i still pray. now i will also pray for the beautiful towers to stand again and last for ever! Sincerely:Nick Lionberger.
I have only been to New York once, and I don’t remember it very well but my mom says she took me to ground zero. I want to say I remember some of it but I can’t say for sure. I have seen dozens of documentaries and I know the progess on the new buildings continues. I think they’re neat but belong elsewhere. I am very much in favor of the TWIN TOWERS II by this architect by the name of Kenneth Gardner. I never got to see the world trade center in person until after they were destroyed. Although I don’t live in New York I have always wanted to see NYC. I have always loved architecture and would really love to go back and see all the buildings. I think it’s a shame what their doing down at ground zero. I think it will be a great disappointment.
Twin towers should be rebuilt. I actually think it is really stupid on building the freedom tower! Nobody likes it. I mean come on. It’s been on CNN that New Yorkers want the original Twin Towers! Ok governor or mayor or what ever. It is right in plain view. open your eyes!!!!!!
Before the events of September 11th, the Twin Towers were the most awe-inspiring buildings in North America. They were truly a masterpiece; rising high above the streets and civillians of New York City, reaching up to touch the clouds. Today, the One World Trade Center is un-inspiring, created by a man with no inspiration, no intelligence, no creativity. In my opinion, World Trade Center Phoenix would be an improvement over the so-called Freedom Tower. Bring back the grace that once flowed over the Big Apple, over New York, over the United States of America.
As long as we don’t build the stronger, safer, taller Twin Towers II, Bin Laden wins. He looked at the original Towers and couldn’t stand we had them, so he destroyed them. Gov Pataki and Mayor Bloomberg respond to this by putting an inferior building in their place…
I loved these towers. I remember seeing them on TV and movies when I was a young boy and I was shocked when they collapsed and I hold this building in my heart. America needs to become great again, rebuild these legendary, beautiful, great towers.
Hi, my name is Jon. I’m 14 and I live in Detroit, Michigan and 5 years ago I seen the Twin Towers on a movie that had Eddie Murphy in it, and then I seen McCully Clunkin on top of the Twin Towers. I told my parents one day im gonna try to go see the Twin Towers and then they replied “Impossible” and I asked why? Then they replied “They don’t exist anymore since 9/11 happened.” (I didn’t know much about 9/11 at the time), then I said what’s that. So they told me and showed me what happened and I was shocked, and in denial about it and also cried a little. So as years passed on I heard people say by building the new wtc we’re taking back what the terrorists took from us. I didn’t believe that one bit. Rebuilding the twin towers is taking back what the terrorists took from us.
The new tower is butt-ugly. Not only is it that, it looks like a middle finger! Bring the old towers back! They truly symbolize that we as a nation are united.
What if the towers are 2,001 feet above air at roof height and then add a 700 foot spire, which makes it around 2700 feet which is around the amount of people who died in the towers. It would also make it the tallest building in New York, the US, and the World.
Hi my name is Colton and ever since 9/11 happened, I’ve always wanted the Twin Towers back. I have no idea why New York decided to build the Freedom Tower, but I feel that America would be losing to the terrorists if we don’t build the Twin Towers again. I also feel that is disrespectful to the people that lost their lives on that tragic day.
We are America. We don’t back down! Let alone admit defeat. If the towers are left unbuilt it would remain a symbol for all the world of our vulnerability and the the sacrifices of many will have been in vain. Build them taller and make them the most beautiful structures ever created by man. It will be a place of not only remembrance, but a place where we stood together as a nation and overcame the most horrible assault on our nation.
Please let’s make this dream come true and bring them back as Mr Trump said. Each time I watch a NY picture, I can see them on my mind. We can win this fight. Both are terribly missed.
please build the twin towers. new york is not the same with out them. build them bigger and taller. let’s show the world in america we don’t give up, the freedom tower is not the same. by building the twin towers back again the whole world would want to be part of it and come to see it, invest in it. new york would have the best tourist and financial city in the world.the economy impact would be good for new yorkers. and who ever invest their money in the project. after all we all love america and want the best for it.
I would love for these buildings to rise again because i was visiting my uncle in New York during 9/11 and he died when he was called in to help with evacuation he died in the collapse of the Norh Tower and i would greatly appreciate to have them standing again!
From early childhood, I had viewed the Twin Towers as the most magnificent architectural wonders I had ever seen. I was so enchanted by them. This enchantment only grew over the years, I had to be able to see them one day, to see them with my own eyes. I never got the chance, they were destroyed before I could. I can feel so much empathy with the loss of life and the deep helpless emotion that we have all been robbed of something that runs so much deeper than their physical, awe-inspiring presence, it’s our spirit and what they represented to the people of New York and the world. The Twin Towers should rise again in sure defiance and triumph over evil, free to grace that skyline once again, prouder and more powerful than ever before!
I think it’s easy to say it’s too late for this to happen or the current plan is done, but we must understand that the current plan being built was not brought upon us in the right way. This subject on rebuilding the Twin Towers has been a primary focus for me since 7th grade I am now heading into Sophomore year, I have never stopped believing that the 1,368 ft beauties will rise again because they had much higher expectations for the future rather than the 28 years they stood. I have come to appreciate all the things said by others on this site because we all believe one thing and that is that these iconic buildings need to rise again. Thank you and god bless.
The World Trade Center Towers were the symbol of our great Nation. We need to rebuild because we need to show those Terrorists that America will never stay Down.
i always thought that the twin towers were beautiful ever since they reached for the stars in the 70’s. i remember going to the sears tower as a teenager and thinking “wow, this is amazing. one day i need to go to the twin towers”. that day will never come for me. i remember one day i saw the concord at jfk and thought “so beautiful! one day i will see the curvature of the earth in that”. sadly i will never be able to buy a ticket to make that dream come true either. i wish they would have rebuilt the twin towers. i wish the concord was never retired. dreams are all that i have. and at least the iconic twin towers were part of them & at this website i happy to see i am not alone. i see no shame for them to grace our skies. cincinnati j
I was three when the towers where destroyed. I don’t remember much of them, but I know they where among one of the five most recognisable American landmarks. When my dad came here frome Sweden he wanted to drive a pick up truck, and work at the Twin Towers. It seems like America has fallen apart since their destruction with the NSA, torture, and the war in Afghanistan. Rebuilding them will not fix America, but it will start the process.
REBUILD the iconic symbolism of America exactly like before — but better. Not a stupid “Freedom Tower”…the REAL DEAL. The TWO (2) TWIN TOWERS, no architectural design twist, or “bomb sheltered” base nonsense revealing American vulnerability. Rather, what everyone loved – the straight up and down, vertical beauty the two towers emitted. THAT is American pride, THAT is American Capitalism, that is the healing of the ever so great New York City.
I challenge you friends, rise! Fight for this petition like me and your fellow comrades, brothers and sisters! Spread the word! We WILL make this a reality, a NECESSITY to the American People, the American CAUSE, the American DREAM.
This is a subject that’s so hard for me to talk about because there’s so many people who don’t seem to care that if we don’t build the twin towers back the terrorists win. I loved the twin towers, and they must be built back. I hope that one day this could become a reality. I think the twin towers complete the NYC skyline and should be rebuilt

The towers symbolize who we are what we fight for and they offer new opportunities for the future of business.

We will never forget.
The Twin Towers should be rebuilt as the People of New York want it to be built!
Build the towers according to the desire of the American People, more specifically the Great Citizens of NEW YORK.
Put God 1st in all matters and all things!!!
