I am one of many who had never got to see the twin towers. It would be an honor to all us Americans if they rebuild the twin towers. It would mean the world to all of us to have the New York skyline back to the way it was. Don’t you think we deserve this for all that were lost on that day show the terrorists that we still stand strong and we aren’t scared of nobody? I think this is what America needs to be back on top once again. Thank you for your time.
New York isn’t recognizable without the twin towers. The Twin Towers played a role in the New York skyline. The city looks so empty without them. Rebuilding them would give people like me a chance to experience them.
I was only 1 year old when 9/11 occurred and I want the 2 twin towers back — the towers that were a symbol of not just the U.S. but a symbol of humanity.
I strongly feel that the twin towers should be built exactly how they were before. Just 10 times stronger than before. I think if they did this it shows that the terrorists don’t win and apparently they did because the Manhattan skyline will never look the same and as good as it did before.
We are Americans. We are proud. We are strong. That’s why we should rebuild and as an American I think we need both towers and freedom.
We should rebuild A.S.A.P. and build bigger and better and build as close to freedom tower as possible if it is possible to show terrorist that they cant stop us from being strong, and that we don’t give up. Then we could say, yeah, they took the towers from us. But, we rebuilt them bigger and better. We even added a third one to remember and honer those who lost their lives that day and to show that the U.S. WONT FORGET, GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
I pledge my support for this dream for New York and America. Why does Osama bin Laden’s death matter, if the Twin Towers that he destroyed continue to remain absent in New York’s skyline? If the great Pyramids in Ancient Egypt had been destroyed, I’m sure they would have been rebuilt, and we would still admire, and respect them as they are today. When the terrorists destroyed the Twin Towers, it felt like we were sent back to the stone age. Our country will inevitably face many issues, and threats, but we need to face them with pride, not secession. If we can’t rebuild the Twin Towers how can we possibly confront the obstacles that confront our nation in the future. Why are the people in charge of ground zero denying the truth from future generations. Rebuild the Towers!
I would LOVE to see these towers rebuilt someday in NYC nearby where they originally were. If not in NYC, I would still be happy to see them in another major American city. They were simple, yet symbolic. Symbols should never be taken away or changed in my opinion.
I don’t believe that they would cause sadness by being rebuilt. It would prove that we are a strong country. I am sad that they are not there anymore.
I would love to see the towers back, where they stood, not the freedom tower. The terrorists wanted them down and didn’t want us to rebuild, and that we aren’t means that they won! We need the towers back, maybe not in New York City, but in America, possibly in Chicago, or even where the new 2 and 3 world trade centers are gunna go. Put the towers in those spots.
There is no better way to show our resilience as a nation than to rebuild what was taken from us. We will stand, we will fight and we will not be broken.
I’m glad to hear the response on restoring the Twin Towers. If this were to happen, what would be the best location for this two massive skyscrapers in NYC.
TTA Note: That is a good question and we will have more to say on it in the weeks ahead.
While growing up, I’ve always viewed the Twin Towers as the tallest buildings in the world (even though they weren’t, obviously). I was fascinated by them and loved them. They were certainly iconic of New York and even the US during my childhood. I think it would be proper I’d they were rebuilt instead of the current complex, which is bland and poorly planned in my opinion.
As an American who was only 15 when 9/11 took place, I never saw them in person because I lived in California at the time. I would love to see them again.
I was wondering since the towers were not rebuilt, is there plans to at least relocate them in New York City? If we lost the ground where they originally stood, does that make them any less important if they’re still rebuilt at another place in New York City?
TTA Note: The Twin Towers, as icons of a once-great country, would have significance wherever they would appear.
the new tower and upcoming surrounding structures are horrible eyesores that show the terrorists won and america is evil and greedy. reconstruction would have spit in the face of terror, and inspired america in its time of sorrow. from 2008 and onward, i have NOT been proud to be an american, because of our government making us look like weak greedy pretentious liberal douchbags.
Although I was only six years old at the time of their destruction, the image of the Towers has had an almost hypnotic effect on me. The Freedom Tower fails to inspire the same feeling of wonder and awe the Twin Towers did.
I think we should have the regular towers built back I mean I miss seeing them beautiful towers in manahatten if the mayor won’t have it done well that’s just that but I believe this towers helped us pull things together
The United States of America should never give in to fear that allows the terrorists to decide our skylines. We are a very proud and courageous country and the American Dream resonates very strong throughout this world. The Twin Towers were a brilliant beacon of our message realised. This symbol of American Spirit should not perish due to fear and worry.
I want the twin towers to be rebuilt because I never got to see them. The towers should be built on the waterfall footprints. The names of those who have died on February,26,1993 and September,11,2001 in both tower lobbies. The towers will give more office space for those who want to work in them. It will give people a chance to see what the towers were like before 9/11. New York needs to have its twin towers back in the skyline.
I WANT THOSE TOWERS BACK! Even though I was in my adolescent years and never actually saw the towers, I look at pictures of them on the interweb. I think, “freedom tower? there’s only one tower and the majority of it’s gonna be office space..” You guys got my signature.
The twin towers are our american icon &we can’t just replace them with a retarded mediocre tower that only makes us feel worse that terrorists destroyed our landmarks forever. We should rebuild and show that the landmarks that fell long ago are rising up from the dead, and being reborn, in defiance of terrorism, of what happened that horrible day. You definitely got my vote.
I was born in 1996, which means the towers fell when I was five. I was in Kindergarten at the time. Thus, I and millions of others grew up in what is called a post 9/11 era. I’ve never been to New York. I never got to see them, I hadn’t even heard of them yet. And so those terrorists have robbed me of a life with these beauties in the New York sky. I will never stand in the North or South towers of the WTC. But one decision from the birocrats in New York can change that, for all of us. Have you seen the movie Moonstruck? In it, we see this gorgeous moon (part of the story) and an old man comes into a plaza bathed in moonlight and out in the distance stand the twin towers, huge, tall, and comforting. It’s moving, and the Freedom Tower ju
The freedom tower is a symbol of the governments freedom from popular opinion. it is a disgusting sight that honors no one. I believe the people who died that day would want us to rebuild bigger, better and stronger twin towers to show we will not be broken as a nation. They wouldn’t want four abominations to stand in the place of two symbols.
I was young when this tragedy happened, but old enough to know what was going on. It affected me greatly and my heart and prayers go out for the familes that lost loved ones and close ones. I think that the towers should be rebuilt but stronger and higher. I myself would have loved to see the towers. I know now how special they were. Rebuild them!! I truly believe it will show that we are stronger and it would heal:) thank you and God Bless!
I can just say I wish I had the opportunity to visit the Twin Towers. They were so beautiful in their own unique way and people in high places need to realize that rebuilding the Twin Towers would certainly help heal a huge scar that still exists in every corner of the world today. Hopefully in my lifetime the towers will be rebuilt right where they once were.
I was born the same year the twin towers were built 1971. I never got the opportunity to go in them but did see them from the air. I have always been fascinated with them and even more so now that this has gone by us. I would honorably walk in and being afraid of heights, go all the way to the top upon completion and be proud to say, I not only accomplished this dream, but got to see what once was and now is the landmark that should be… The new one world trade center is beautiful, but not what we(I) want… Please rebuild them…..
The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center are a major facet of retro pop culture, & should be rebuilt, especially since most older buildings that are demolished are not as fortunate. So many buildings in recent & distant history have been lost to either destruction, or the owner’s ignorance or negligence, leading to them being razed. It is awesome that some relics of the original Twin Towers are being preserved at the 9/11 Museum & Memorial, but since rebuilding them is possible, I think this would be a great opportunity to resurrect the Twin Towers, & further increase the already increasing gratitude & appreciation for the towers.
I completely agree with the push to rebuild the World Trade Center. However I don’t like the design that is currently being implemented. I personally believe if we rebuild the World Trade Center of New York we need to do it the right way and the only right way I see are the Twin Towers. They stood as symbols of American Pride, American Culture and American Power. Now with them wiped out, New York just doesn’t look the same. I was only a child when September 11th occurred but there is to me something about the Twin Towers that evokes the majesty and beauty of what we can do. The Twin Towers may never stand again physically, but they will always stand spiritually in our hearts.
Until there are twin towers hovering over the skyline of New York, we are defeated. Every time I see a period movie or re-broadcast of a period sitcom with the original twin towers in the background, I am sickened to my stomach. I believe every American will rest much better when, once again, we can look upon the skyline of New York City and see what we expect to see. The Freedom Tower simply cannot fill the void. Once might as well attempt to replace the Statue of Liberty with an obelisk.
I not only say I wish the twin towers were rebuilt or claim that they need to be rebuilt without backing those words up with actions. I’ve honestly never been to them nor did I even know what 9/11 was when it happened because of course I was young but oddly enough, I’m somehow attached to them ever since seeing pics of them & movies containing them in recent years as I’m now older to realize their significance. When we say rebuild, we don’t necessarily mean using the same outdated materials that were put into the original twins that led to their collapse. The twin towers rebuilding plan will ensure far more updated technology just as they used into the new one world trade center. The design features will meet modern standards in every as

Rebuild the towers! Scrap the futuristic one world trade building and bring up a project that actually blends in with nyc. Rebuild the towers!

New York and America deserves to have the original Twin Towers back as a tribute to the lives lost.

Just do it.
