i think the twin towers should be rebuilt because they were beautiful i was only 2 years old when 9 11 happened but now that i am older i realize that 9 11 was very tragic but now that bin laden is dead we could become a great country again the twin towers were one of the symbols of new york a symbol that nobody will ever forget that is just my opinion in conclusion the twin towers SHOULD be rebuilt

Please build the original Towers back! The rebuilding of them would signify that we Americans never stand down, and will only rebuild after defeat! Sadly, I was too little when I saw the original Towers to remember them, but if they were to be rebuilt, I could not be any happier! Please, everyone, let's stand up for our freedom as Americans and have the Twin Towers rebuilt!!!!!!!

1 World Trade Center, and the memorial(s) are very nice and beautiful lasting tributes, but by all means not all that is needed. What is needed is to kick sand in the face of adversity, to say we will never forget, we will never surrender! To say those things, to show the world and ourselves that we mean business, we need new Twin Towers. Twins of the originals to be sure, but taller, and better in every way. It's like the flag flying at McHenry that inspired the Star Spangled Banner. Our flag was still there, in your face you cowards!

The Freedom Tower is 80 stories now we might just wanna forget about it. I mean I won't but it's absurd that the Twins are not being built. The New Twin Towers would have been 115 stories this time and I would have loved to see them again. My son is obsessed with the Twin Towers and would love them back in Manhattan and tears up every time he hears they're not being built.

At the time of the attacks I was only 11 years old, I wish I had the chance to see the twin towers when they stood in all their glory. It was not only the American population that was rocked by the 9/11 attacks, it was the whole world. I remember coming home from school on the day of the attacks and seeing the twin towers collapse and I just broke down crying. To see such devastation was unbearable and I feel for those who lost their lives in the twin towers on that day and indeed the families of those people. I believe that in order for America to fully recover the Twin Towers should be rebuilt as they were only even stronger as a message to the cowards stating YES we built them again and NO you can't Hurt us anymore. Long live the TwinTowers.

As one unfortunate enough to have not visited the WTC during his lifetime, I believe that there could be nothing else acceptable for New York City other than rebuilding the Twin Towers and the WTC as they were before, complete with a genuine memorial in memory of the people who died on both February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001. The "Freedom Tower" that is being built and is unfortunately nearly finished is totally unacceptable. I believe that the skyline must be restored to what it was prior to 9/11/2001. What the people and I want are the Twin Towers rebuilt, stronger, fire-proofed and soaring above New York once again. Even though they were the tallest on Earth for a short time, they were great, beautiful and awesome.

We should rebuild the Twin Towers just to say, "Hit 'em again...We dare you."

The United States is not the United states without the original Twin Towers. New York is not New York Without The original Twin Towers. That is why they must be rebuilt as they were before. If you build the skyline different then you bow to the terrorists. Do not bow to them. Build New York as it was before. There could be no stronger Symbol of Freedom and Strength then to see Gleaming new Twin Towers in the New York Skyline.

I personally won't be visiting Lower Manhattan again because it doesn't make any sense to go and look at 2 footprints with water running it where the twin towers stood. The attacks of 9/11 still haunts me to this day and the absence of the twin towers is very depressing and hard to deal with. If the freedom tower is being built than I would rather not travel to NYC again.

The greatest thing we could do to honor the memory of those lost on 9/11, and to send a message to those who wish us harm, is to replace what was already there, modernized, bigger and better, but preserving the integrity of the image that made the twin towers icons the world over. The fact that this isn't happening is hard to fathom. What is being built now is disappointing to the extent that it is an insult to what was. If the wishes of most Americans were taken into account, we would be building a new set of twin towers, while rightfully and tastefully taking into account the hallowed ground that they are built on.

I said this the day after the towers fell. We should have rebuilt as soon as possible to show our strength and resiliency.

Rebuild the twin towers !!!! Honestly we're America we don't do little so why when we had these amazing Towers do we come back with a small 80ft. SINGLE tower ?! If you ask me I'd say that's like leaving the rubble there and saying we did our best to recover but we're just down on ourselves and scared that's what the terrorists wanted was for us to feel belittled at least build one more freedom tower !! Two 80ft. Towers on the New York skyline is better than one it would feel like New York again big, wondrous and full of lights and heart.

If the twin towers aren't rebuilt as they were, then the terrorists win. We can't let them win. The towers should be rebuilt to make it look like the terrorists did nothing to weaken us.

The Twin Towers were so simple and beautiful. I never got to see the original twin towers but I hope that the new ones will be built. The Freedom Tower is ugly and could never replace the Twin Towers.

I'm glad to see "the committee" has designed a stunning memorial to the innocent people murdered on 9/11. I'm 100% supportive of that effort. But the symbolic intent of the attack was to challenge the foundation and fabric of our nation as a whole and the structure(s) that follow the twin towers should surpass the grandeur of the original Twin Towers. I really like the design and look of One World Trade Center but the tall single tower on the New York Skyline just falls well short of the real "strength" of the original Twin Towers. The greatest generation of WWII would have had a twin towers complex rebuilt by now, much taller than the two they replaced. I'm ashamed to say that the new complex design is embarrassingly inadequate and

I have never had the opportunity to visit New York prior to 9/11, and I hoped and prayed that one day our country would heal and allow the rebuilding of these historical monuments. I am sure there will be many revisions and changes made if they are to be rebuilt, and I hope I am lucky enough to visit New York and The New Twin Towers. Let us not think of this as forgetting the old, and building the new, but restoring and resurrecting a legend and memory we will never forget. PLEASE re-build the Twin Towers! The current plan with the "Freedom Tower" and ugly surrounding buildings is a disgrace, not to mention the morbid and depressing waterfall memorial that sends exactly the WRONG message of defeat to the world. Re-building these towers stronger and higher than before would be a triumph of good over evil and a shining symbol of American determination for the rest of the world. There really is no other legitimate option. Anything less sends a message of defeat - that the terrorists won this battle. We cannot - we MUST NOT fail to resurrect the towers and properly honor those who lost their lives and pay tribute to the uniquely American spirit.

The new 'freedom tower' and other new WTC designs just don't seem right to me or most people. Building these completely different buildings show that the terrorists had won and changed America, whilst rebuilding these recognized and admired monuments of New York show tribute to those who died and that America can't be changed, and comes back stronger.

Apparently Us new yorkers dont want this one world trade center we need our twin towers back in command. I say lets finish this freedom tower but lets build our twin towers right beside the base for the north and south towers are there why not go for it. Its a nice building and i love the design but when you look across the river from jersery i expected to see the twin towers not the one trade tower. you want bigger lets have three buildings instead of 1

Don't re-place, re-build! If the Whitehouse or Statue of Liberty got hit they would be replaced. 10 years is far too long a wait. If the city of NY own the site and want the towers back then why not?! Much money and time would be saved and a much happier outcome will result. Never give up and never forget the people lost in 9/11.

I like the looks of the new Tower 1 as there now calling it inplace of freedom tower, Hower to go with this new Tower I think it would be best to have North & South Tower back or better known as the Twin Towers of the world Trade Center. Meaning we'd have iconic 2 towers plus the new Tower 1..

This time building the 2 new World trade towers pretty much as they were but maybe this time with alittle more safety features like wider stairways & lighted stairways incase power goes out. Other wise build the twin towers as they once were.. Bring back the Twin Trade Towers to go with Tower 1..

So now there would be the new Tower 1, then New North & South Towers to go with the new tower 1. I think its right to rebuild the Twin Towers.

EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS IT'S IMPORTANT! Even though the Freedom Tower is being built rite now, we still have 2 OPEN SPOTS to put the twins back!!!!!!!!!!! There are 2 spots where other crappy buildings are going THAT AREN'T UNDER CONSTRUCTION YET! If we protest on that site, right next to ground zero, we can have the twins rebuilt there, along with the freedom town next to them! I we don't want the Freedom Tower, but it's too late for that, its already 80 stories up, we can at least bring back the old along side the new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TTA Note: It is not too late to cap the Freedom Tower -- the higher it goes the creepier it will look. New Twin Towers would be state-of-the-art so it would not be the old alongside the new -- it would be the classic skyline as opposed to the kitsch skyline.
