i would like and be greatfull for the new and improved twin towers 2. somewhere in all my cousins, one was taken. From the first plain that crashed in to the first tower to be hit. her name was cristine barbuto. we never met before but if the new towers went up i would go in the bulding and and get p.e.a.c.e and prayers out in a better way, and not at two swiming pools. AND A FREEDOM TOWER. that is unacceptable for us as americans. please rebuild, mark barbuto jr

The twin towers should be rebuilt. We had built a landmark. And now we have to rebuild it.

On my last visit to New York, I can't believe how emotional I felt viewing the empty space from Ellis Island. What a dramatic change to the Skyline of New York City. Bring back the twin towers in remembrance of the ones who gave their life to try to keep them."REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS".

As a former infantryman, I would like to say that rebuilding the Twin Towers to specification (or taller) would severely demoralize our enemies while uplifting the spirit and morale of Americans, as well as freedom loving people everywhere. Imagine the triumph of seeing our beloved NYC skyline restored even better than before. It is what the Greeks of antiquity would have done after such an horrific act. We must do this.

I think that the Twin Towers should be rebuilt. They were our strongest symbol of freedom and now more then ever they would represent that our city and nation is stronger and and better than ever and also they would serve as a tribute to the ones who lost their lives. I don't understnad if 94 percent of the population want them back including myself, why they are doing the opposite of wht we want. I love the new twin towers by Kenneth Gardener.

Please let's all do something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should really rebuild the towers honestly the diamond looking tower is really weird and the tower next to it with the 4 poles is ugly and WTF? they should have the design of Ken Gardner, what ever his name was with the freedom tower ONLY, in the site as well, just an idea but overall REBUILD!!!!!!!!!!!

Rebuild them!

They knock down the Twin Towers... and America wants to build only ONE in their place?! That's like half a life bar in a video game. It'll send the message that whoever did this are succeeding in their aims.

IF WE REBUILD THE WTC - MODERNIZED, HARDER, BETTER, STRONGER - WE SEND OUT THE MESSAGE THAT THEY'LL NEVER KNOCK US DOWN.

Rebuild the twin towers. That is part of the United States, that is part of New York, that is part of the world. Everyone looks for them and they are a symbol. Its part of America. To build something other than the towers would be shaming all those who have lost their lives. REbuilding the towers in their honors would give America a sense of care and power.

Its the best tribute and the best stand of defiance that could ever be done if this plan went ahead everyone would always remember.

I was born and raised in New York City and no matter where I live it will always be my home and in my heart!
My Grandparents were proud immigrants with dreams of America. We cannot give up on this dream of re-building the towers! It would be like giving up on America, its people and it's pride. We have always been a nation of determination and we need to show the world that even though they dstroyed the structure and all those lives they cannot destroy our spirit, their souls and our dream!

The idea of building this monstrosity that is called the Freedom Tower, and not either the original or proposed World Trade Center 2 towers is a heinous crime not only to New York, but to the rest of the world. Even though originally they were built just as any other commercial building, and belonged to the financial market, over the years it belonged to the people becoming as iconic as the Statue Of Liberty, even more so now. Please, listen to the people, rebuild the icons not the lifeless proposed plans.

Good luck in your just fight, I'm hoping, wishing, and praying that you succeed for all of us.

TTA Note: Actually, they were the only commercial structures we know of that were NOT "built just as any other commercial building," but were dedicated to fostering world peace through world trade from their inception -- quite an extraordinary pedigree and distinction worthy of being defended and upheld.

I was born and raised in NY. Early in my career, I worked in NYC. The Twin Towers not only symbolize NYC SKyline, but America.... New Yorkers and Americans Deserve to see the skyline restored as it was! The #11 sticking out to the sky! We need them back! Why are we making this decision a hard one?

I could not agree more that the Twin Towers should be built bigger and better than ever. Why must we be so slow wasting our time with red tape when the answer is so obvious. I love this plan and would contribute financially and in any other way I could to see it become a reality. And if your worried about another attack, park the USS Ronald Reagan in the Hudson. Nothing should deter our way of life. Good job to the planners.

I agree 100%, there's nothing else to do, nothing more can be done, only two 107 stories (at least) can soar in that place, if they are not going to rebuild them, then bring back all the rubble and leave it that way, it must be rebuilt as it was, give NY its skyline, we all around the world miss it badly!

Please rebuild the Twin Towers. I remember living in Westchester County 1970-1975 and visiting relatives in Brooklyn. Each time we would go to Brooklyn, we were amazed at the progress they were making and would bet each other to see which tower would be completed first. These were beautiful buildings and we need them to show that even in tragedy, we can stand tall. I'm sure with today's technology, we can rebuild them stronger than ever. America needs this to help us heal.

If a natural monument, feature or landmark was destroyed then we could only remember how it was but here is an opportunity to rebuild something that was manmade to start with, and with better technology and safety measures. The Freedom Tower just looks a ghastly and the fact that it has been plagued by controversy is a bad omen.

Rebuilding the twin towers would be the greatest show of resilience, strength and patriotism the world has ever seen. Whatever meaning the towers had to them before, would be magnified a thousand times over when everyone sees them once again reach up into the sky, into the heavens. I don't think any other brick and mortar building put there would ever be as adequate or significant.

The twin towers were symbollic of America's might and prosperity. They were just as much a landmark as the statue of liberty, the empire state building the nation's capitol.

I dont have alot to say but i would really like to see the towers rebuilt. Anytime NY comes to mind i think of Lady liberty, the empire state building and of course the beloved twin towers. Visiting NY for the 1st time soon, wish they were still there 🙁

I never noticed the twin towers before the tragedy of 9/11. However, seeing the city without them now, is tragic and I think rebuilding them stronger and taller than ever before would go a long way in healing the soul of New York and the entire country.
