The freedom tower would be a big shard of glass creating a scar on the face of New York and America.

It would be fantastic if the original twin towers were rebuilt! This web site is right! IT'S NOT TOO LATE! Besides if those towers are rebuilt, new york would get back the image that americans all over the states love! New york isn't the same without the TWIN TOWERS. REBUILD THEM, NOT THE FREEDOM TOWER!

The new tower stands out only because of the ground where it will be built, and for no other reason.

I can't think of anything more powerful or defiant than to see the towers rebuilt.

The Twin Towers were an icon to New York, and a symbol of freedom to this country. They Must be brought back, but built with heavier materials, and more structurally sound, so 9/11 will never happen again. They Should move them offset and have the reflecting pool, in the place were the original towers were to show they will always be there in our hearts. The Freedom Tower is a nice idea, but doesn't fit New York

Restore the skyline. Spit in the eyes of the terrorists.

TTA Note: ...instead of in the eye of the American people.

Please rebuild the towers as they were, just like the ones they tore down.
Thank you

I’m only 19 years old. 9/11 is already stuck in my mind for the rest of my life. The LAST THING I want for the rest of my life is a building that I (and many others) don’t APPROVE OF.

The botched attempts to redevelop the ground zero site are a disgrace. Shopping and retail space, and a "Freedom Tower" that climbs to a height not much higher than the Citigroup building won't memorialize those who died, or bring back the spirit of New York or the property that it lost on 9/11. The Ken Gardner plan should be followed to rebuild the twin towers, bigger, better, and stronger. Imagine the message that would be sent, with each floor being topped off, that America is back.

I am a resedent of PA but as a child I grew up twenty miles away from DC for eight years. Almost on a weekly basis getting to see the Capitol, Washington Monument, and every thing in downtown DC that I thought represented America. Until June of 1998 when Ii got a chance to spend a weekend in New York City. From the moment I crossed the George Washington Bridge my eyes were fixed on one part of the New York skyline and that was the TWIN TOWERS. I knew I had reached AMERICA! Bring them back to all of us!

I have watched the New York governor ruin a perfectly good design by Daniel Libeskind. Now the tower is seen by world citizens and Americans as the "Fear Tower" with its block-like bottom, what a disgrace. And the first six designs were pitiful. I am a citizen of greater Los Angeles and I say REBUILD. It is pathetic that there is so little done after 8 years. It's time for the taxpayers to get what they want, towers that will sell. Scrap that Freedom Tower, it's crap.

NYC just wouldn't feel right if the Freedom Tower is built in the World Trade Center's place...

Please rebuild them but this time with better support. So if this ever happens again there will be time for most People to get OUT. Next put little water fountains on top of the ceilings so if there's a fire it will detect it and hopefully will put out the fire and the bars won't melt and no buildings will fall. I Loved These Towers So Much.

REBUILD REBUILD REBUILD. 🙂

I saw the whole thing on that morning and from the beginning I've wanted the towers rebuilt, but bigger and stronger. I was appalled by the so-called Freedom Tower's design, and I am disgusted with the ridiculous construction delays at the WTC. I want to see Lower Manhattan the way it used to be.

We should rebuild the twin towers and a third one for good measure!

The Twin Towers should be rebuilt!!!! Anything less shows our lack of resolve. The families of the people that died that day are much more in support of the Twin Towers than the Freedom Tower. Their voices deserve to be heard and acted upon.

I used to work on 103rd floor. When they finish re-building, let me know where to send my resume to apply for a job to work on the top floor.

Rebuild the original Twin Towers! Mayor Bloomberg, step in and do something! The LMDC obviously is not doing a good enough job!

REBUILD! Only the re-erection of the Twin Towers will bring healing and be a shout of: Yes we can! You could not beat us!

I have been in love with The World Trade Center since I first saw the architectural models in the early seventies. It inspired my lifelong interest in architecture. I witnessed live the destruction and horror on 9-11 on my television. It was something I did not ever wish to see. I would like to see the towers built back again onto The New York City Skyline with all my heart. But, how is that to be when your country has somehow elected this man Obama as your president?!? His supporters say NO!!!?

TTA Note: Support for new Twin Towers is strongly bipartisan -- left, right, and center.

America must never be defeated or deprived of its constitutional rights of freedom and ingenuity. Building and rebuilding of America is a continuing process showing the envious world our pride and determination.

I allways dreamed of going over to america one day... to go up the twin towers.
Now I realize my dreams are not completely abolished.

If the freedom tower is ever created, I will never have anything to do with them.

America, stick up for yourself.
Do you honestly think, that surrendering to those terrorists is the best option.

They took thousands of lives, that were not theirs to take,
Don't let them take America's spirit.
Rebuild!!! Show the terrorists how weak they really are.

I'm all in for rebuilding the Twin Towers, however, I don't feel that building a New York/American Icon across the Hudson is the right idea. I would love to see the Twin Towers rise up from the ashes of Ground Zero but the PA doesn't, Unless a miracle happens and they dismantle the "Freedom Tower" complex in favor of TTII. There is the idea of filling in parts of the hudson near the WFC to build twin towers II to complement the skyline. I'm all for restoring the Twin Towers, but in New York.

Although I've never been to NYC and saw the WTC as it stood, I've come to associate NYC with those magnificent twin towers shining like a beacon over the city skyline. I like the idea of seeing the new concept of twin towers rather than what has been proposed - "The Freedom Tower?" I've seen those concept drawings and I just don't think it's an attractive building or the right way to go with redeveloping that site. So, come on people, let's get twin towers built on that site again already.
