america saw evil that day. the new design is shit. its not a very respectful way to honor all those who died. i say build the towers much bigger and much better with the same design and in the same exact place.

i think it was horriying what happened i still go there now and still remember friends and family. sometimes i would pray for the people who lost their lives and i really am standing up on this now and agree with your statement.

I'm tired of money being wasted on a project that has not even begun. Rebuild the twin towers - it'll cost less money and time. It's what we want.

What they are doing at ground zero is despicable and they never should have started but we can still get the twins back to make New York New York Again. We are honoring two towers with one smaller tower.The Twin Towers II is what everyone wants.We are remembering the lives lost on 9/11 by putting them underground which is like saying they went to hell.The water fall is stupid and Tower 2 has dumb angles which make no sense the bottom line is Rebuild The Twin Towers & Honor September 11 2001.

I have resided in southern California for my entire life, and I can assure you that the vast majority of people here have been disturbed by the lack of progress coming from Ground Zero. We feel and recognize the frustrations of the people of New York City, and we realize that the current plan is unnacceptable. Feedom Tower does not even begin to approach a satisfactory resolution. We must rebuild the Towers. It is our responsibilty as American citizens to do so, for our kids and prosperity.

The proposed design of the Freedom tower to me is a sign of weakness. New York looked strong with the iconic Twin Towers , and should stand strong once again. The US is a powerful and admired nation. You need to show that if "'You knock us down , we will spring back up stronger and better than ever before'".

I remember 9/11. It was horrifying. The only way to make America complete again is to rebuild the towers.

There is no other powerfull message than to show others how strong a country can be, and how they would hand-in-hand rebuild the towers. NYC would set a symbol for peace. As long the towers stood, there was peace, as they fell, there was War in Iraq, if they stood up again it will be a symbol for peace, a symbol for the whole world.

The Twin Towers should be resurrected as a tribute to everyone who was lost during 9/11 as well as a nod to all the heroes of the NYPD and FDNY. Stop wasting MILLIONS of OUR tax dollars to fund some project designed by some mediocre architect that is costing us more than we can afford. We as Americans should be able to rebuild and rebuild correctly.

I can remember the day that the cowards of Al-Qaeda brought these towers down. I was 8 years old and in 2nd grade. All I can remember is turning on the tv and seeing people jumping oout to save themselves from burning. It was the worse thing I have ever seen. Please bring the Twin Towers back. I had read some where that the towers were completed in 1973, the year I was born. I have never known a day (until now) when the towers were NOT part of NEW YORK. I visit New York, I see them, I fly out of New York, I see them. Every time I traveled overseas, when I would return, I knew I was home when I seen them. We want our towers back.

I would love to see the twin towers built back like they were. I think that there would be no bigger inspiration to Americans than to see how far we have come and no bigger smack in the face to the terrorists.

I lost my cousin and dear friend in the 9/11 attacks. There is no doubt in my mind that he would've wanted them back taller and stronger. It's been said a million times over but there is good reason for that... anything BUT the new and improved Twin Towers shows the terrorists (and the world) that we aren't the people we once were when this wonderful country began.

Please do the right thing. If the Eiffel Tower were destroyed by a terrorist attack, I am quite positive the French would rebiuld it without hesitation! So it should it be with the Twin Towers for all that love America.

I was fortunate enough to visit the towers on a short vacation trip on June 30, 2001. It saddened me greatly to see them destroyed and the many lives lost. I have always believed that they should be rebuilt bigger and stronger than before. The current Freedom Tower plan is a wimpy alternative that would have nowhere near the visual and emotional impact of recreating the original structures. Why not do it the right way and create pride in our country?

Having the same New York before and after 9/11 will be the best answer. We have to show them that they do not have influence on our cities. We should not give them a building coming from their act ! Twin Towers forever !!

It is time to rebuild, and revive America with the new Twin Towers! Let us bring the real United States of America back!

i have always admired them and wanted to stand on top of these two icons that represent(ed) and mean(t) so much to people all around the world, people that want to seek their fortune actively rather than just being directed by other forces. the twins have been (still they are ) a strong symbol as well as an inspiration, make them rise again and hit many strikes at once with them being back right were they belong. they've been absent for long enough now, rebuild taller and stronger twins! 🙂

I am from Arkansas. I was in New York less than a month before 9/11. I chose to not go in the twin towers then and have regretted it ever since. Every time I go to New York now, I am constantly reminded that the skyline looks so bare without the two buildings. I am so sorry for all the lives that were lost on that day, but, at the same time, I have looked over the designs for the Twin Towers 2 and I love them. I think it would be a perfect way to honor the people who died that day.

I was 6 when our towers were stolen from us. I despise the new design, and would love nothing better than for them to be rebuilt. I want to dine in Windows on The World; I want to stand on top of the South Tower and stare down at New York City. If the Towers aren't rebuilt, I and many other 21st Century kids will never have that opporunity. That's not right.

Hi, I am from Australia and had the pleasure to visit the world trade center back in 1996. I have to say that only 1 structure - one wtc (Freedom Tower) is a gutless response!!! This is not the America that we know back here in Australia. Really the only logical way to go is to re-construct the twin towers larger, stronger and better than ever. This would certainly display a sense of absolute power and triumph over disaster and this is the old America we know back here down under !!!

Politicians seem to have no qualms spending money on everything else. This is important to us, and to the rest of the world as well.

the twin towers should be rebuilt exactly like the originals because anything else would be like saying the victims never existed. it would be the biggest message that the world can send out saying you will never beat us. it would be the best memorial you could ever build for the brave people who lost their lives. i'm sure each one of those brave people would want them rebuilt too. god bless the brave and please rebuild the towers.

The attack on September 11 was perhaps the greatest challenge to American democracy and morale in all of history. It even surpasses the attack on Pearl Harbor, which dragged the U.S. into WWII. Not building the twin towers EXACTLY is a symbol of American defeat; a defeat that the U.S. could not pull themselves after a tragedy. The Freedom Tower is an excellent project, but is not destined for NYC. The towers should be REBUILD EXACTLY, and they should add more height to show Americans' growth.
