The new tower looks like rubbish I would 1000% perfer the classic twin towers. I've always wanted to visit the twin towers, if they build the tower I wouldn't come to New York I would go to LA or something.

Nothing would show American drive and spirit more than rebuilding the towers. It would be a triumph, a victory, and a sign to the country and the world what we are all about.

If on 9/11 the terrorists had brought down the Statue of Liberty, what would we do? Not put a worthless new vision of it, but rebuild it again. New York needs those towers back! Not only to heal the victim's families but to define America as a country that will not stand for this. We need those towers rebuilt!!!

I lived in NH when 9/11 happened. I was devastated. I now live in Australia and the newsagency I get the paper from has an old front page article from their newspaper showing the tragedy.

I miss the towers. I miss the significance that it had. I knew just what city I was looking at when I saw the skyline. Without the towers, I can't tell anymore.

I may be an Australian resident now but I'm STILL an American Citizen!

As an iron worker I have always been very interested in tall buildings and the Twin Towers always were high on my list of favorite buildings. I visited the twin towers two months to the day before 9/11 and I can remember looking up at the massive towers and just being in awe! I would love to see them standing tall again and anything else would be a big let down. So please consider changing the current plans and rebuilding the twin towers!

As a Canadian citizen, I have never gotten to see the world trade center towers in person as I have always wanted to do. After Sept 11 01 I now no longer have that option to go visit NYC to see them. It would bring me and others sooo much joy to see them be rebuilt to their original shape and heights as they were before.

I remeber how terrible 9/11 was, and I would like to remeber how monumentous it will be when the Twin Towers rise over Manhatten again.

I would love to see the Twin Towers rebuilt just as they existed before 9/11, aesthetically speaking. Sure, upgrade the internals and all that, but keep their external appearance exactly the same.

I never found the original towers attractive, but nothing--repeat: absolutely nothing--would be a bigger middle finger to all the scumbags of the world who planned or celebrated the originals' demise. A carbon copy would show all those losers that they can't win.

I watched Mr. Smith Goes to Washington not too long ago and its disturbing to see the similarity in these circumstances. The political machine on the movie put a lock on the media. If the public is drowned in false news then the elitits can control what happens. Sounds like what Pataki and his cronies were doing. Hope to see the Twin Towers soon!!

I am a British citizen but a resident of the United States. It still amazes me that those in charge of redeveloping this site ever considered doing anything other than rebuilding the twin towers as they were. Surely that is the only appropriate response available in order to send the message that the terrorists' impact has not weakened the United States, and that everything is now 'business as usual'?

I want to see the towers even higher and better than before. Just to show them that you can't keep us down. We will just come back bigger and stronger than ever.

Donald Trump recently said to either rebuild the twin towers or make a huge memorial part and that the Freedom Tower is a piece of junk. I agree.

Rebuild the twin towers to their former glory and restore the NYC skyline with these beautiful buildings.

Please rebuild the twin towers, it is the best idea for ground zero yet. The freedom tower design is ugly and defeatist.

I think you should build the TWIN TOWERS AGAIN because growing up i always wondered what it would be like to work there. Also i want to serve my country to dedicate my life to the 911 victims. So you should build the WTC 2 again better stronger and more bigger. Those two buildings felt like a symbol of freedom and courage.

Too many people lost a loved one on September 11th and it's not fair that they have to live with the horrible reminder that they are gone everyday by looking at the empty space in the New York skyline. I'm all for re-building the Twin Towers and the day that happens will be the happiest day of my life. *Bring on the Towers! Bring back the brothers. Bring back this world.*

I believe they should rebuild the twin towers we need them back but hey dont punish freedom tower why cant we have all 3

TTA Note: If it were a better building -- instead of "a horse designed by a committee" -- that might make sense, but no one wants to rent space in a windowless bunker, as the last four years in a boom market have demonstrated.

When you get knocked down you get back up. You come back bolder and stronger. Rebuild the Twin Towers! The freedom tower isn't a symbol of america, its a symbol of weakness.

I am a British student, who was at junior school, when the Twin Towers were targeted, and one of my ambitions would be to come to america and see where the World Trade Centre, and Twin Towers were. I think that the WTC and the Twin Towers should be rebuilt. I always like looking at pictures of how the Twin Towers used to look like, but it breaks my heart to think of what happened that day! R.I.P all of the people who lost their lives on the day of 9/11. XXXXXXXX

Did Charles Lindbergh settle for anything less than being the first to cross the Atlantic solo nonstop?

No.

Did Martin Luther King, Jr. settle for anything less than equal rights for all men?

No.

Did America settle for anything less than being the first to step on the moon?

No.

Did the Founding Fathers settle for anything less than being a nation free from tyranny?

Never.

These buildings are the flag at Iwo Jima of our generation. Commercial interests should not be involved. Nationalize the project and kick these idiots off the job. At bare minimum build the same buildings, if not twice the size. And it should be build at full speed. Mr Obama could win a lot of hearts by announcing a bold vision for the project and hiring thousands of people with good paying jobs to build it. Until this is built, it is a national disgrace. Our enemies are laughing.

We need to rebuild the twin towers as they were. Not to do so reflects our bowing to the fear that the terrorist want us to be enslaved to. America should only fear God. REBUILD THEM AS THEY WERE!

After WWI and WWII alot of landmarks that were destoyed by the wars were rebuilt and restored. The Twin Towers are American landmarks that need to be restored to original form.

The designers of the new WTC are trying to put in all of this historical symbolism when really the WTC isn’t about history -- the WTC is about the pride of America. Rebuilding the towers would show that the same pride is still here and that it is stronger than ever. They would also in themselves be a memorial of that dreadful day and all the civilian souls that were lost to war. The towers would also tell the families of the victims that their loved ones wouldn’t die in vain.

im a british student from manchester, i think every person in this petition is in it for the same reason, they want to make a stand and show how america and american citizens will not be beaten or changed by the act of terrorist scum. re-building the twin towers is the perfect and best way to do this.
