Like the phoenix let the towers rise from the ashes to show the world our strength!

I believe that rebuilding the Twin Towers is the most powerful symbolic action the USA can take to heal the wounds of 9/11 and to honor those who lost their lives on that fateful day. In these troubled economic times this project would be a stunning economic stimulus as well!

The twin towers, as they were, would do more to restore America's spirit than any other single thing. Good public's work project to help boost the economy too 😉

I love the twin towers and hoped to see them when i went to NY in 2002 and i hope the freedom tower is canceled and they rebuild the trade center the way it was only way taller and stonger. Freedom tower is a good remembrance but it is not as good as a new twin towers can be. Rebuild THE TWIN TOWERS.

I grew up on long island. I use to go and visit my grandmother on staten island using the varanzano bridge ( I hope I spelled that right) I could see New York City and the World Trade Center. I use to say those are really plain looking Twin Towers, Then came the day when I didn't see them. It was like someone stabbed my heart and I didn't feel good when I finally got to staten island, I live in Florida now, But in my heart I am first an American and then a New Yorker.

Well they sure were some great damn buildings and should be rebuilt. I can't possible understand how they allowed the Freedom towers to be built instead of the Twin Towers, weren't the Twin Towers the icon of New York? Back in '01-'02 they told me they would replace the Twin Towers, but there still is nothing out there, with the simple design of the Twin Towers, we could've rebuilded them back in 2004 but nooo...

Good luck boys, hopefully I'll get to stand upon them once...

I am very supportive of the Twin Towers 2 design which is even higher than the original and still has a memorial. I like the fact that wtc 7 was built taller than it was and so should towers 1 & 2.

We need to not only give New York City and State and the Northeast Corridor its skyline back; or even America and the West. We need to give the world back its skyline because our hands are and always will be outstreched to those who seek a better life and wish to be one of with us.

Rebuilding the Twin Towers will do one thing and one thing only: Show the world that attacks on our country will do nothing but make us stronger. We are accepting defeat if we build the Freedom Tower. We are telling the world that the terrorists won. The Twin Towers need to be rebuilt taller and stronger. We must not accept anything less.

I love New York city and growing up in NJ, it always felt like a second home to me. Traveling is one of my greatest passions and after all I've seen, nothing is as great a site as that skyline we had on Sept 10, 2001 and before. The Twin Towers along with the Empire State Building are the greatest sites I've ever seen!

Our government has allowed them to win. Between not capturing him and not rebuilding what New York needs and deserves. Not just NY, but the country and the world deserves

Send them back up - one story higher! These buildings are iconic to the American psyche. Their image saturates our culture in movies and images and every time we see them, our collective unhealed wound aches. No other building would serve to heal that wound.
Some argue that rebuilding them would be disrespectful to the victims. I of course can't speak for the victims but I can only assume that if they could speak they too would have a varied opinion. We can't please everyone.

The Twin Towers must be re-built exactly as they looked before the attacks in memory of those who died needlessly. If not, then the terrorists have won. The replacement Freedom Tower is unnecessary and with the recession, has no place in downtown Manhattan. I always loved to visit the outside deck on the 110th Floor. The new Tower would have no such outdoor deck as an observatory. The proposed observatory will have glass that reflects lights and will offer a poor view.

Too long have we as AMERICANS failed to stand up for what is right. Now more than ever this is the chance to prove to the world that we have the guts to do something right. Sorry all of you cry babies out there but get a hold of yourselves and stand up and be counted. Let's rebuild the TOWERS and show what America is made of.

Personally I think with the freedom tower plan the terroists win they may have destroyed our towers but they can't destory our spirits and rebuilding the WTC shows that we are not giving up we are American and we are strong. I think the freedom tower plans shows the terroists we gave up.

This is America this is our country It isn't too late the construction for the freedom tower can be knocked over like blocks if we can get our rights for the WTC 2.

There is only one way to end this matter now and it is to do it the American way: Rebuild the Twin Towers! What kind of message are we sending to our country and the world if we do not rebuild? We are saying what those in charge are thinking in their heads: The people's voices do not matter. Those in charge would rather waste money on something that not only doesn't fit NYC at all, but is disrespectful to those who died and bad for the economy. Where is the logic in that? Do not give up hope!

My father brought us to America when I was just a small child from Moscow, Russia. I love New York City and my father worked in the Twin Towers. We would go to the towers to visit every weekend, and I never got tired of it. The Twin Towers were an important part of not only New York City, but of America. Here now, without them, it just feels like something is missing. It seems almost criminal to take away what so many want back. My father said he would gladly return. I think we should rebuild!

The Freedom Tower is a slap in the face. If we really wanted to stand in defiance of freedom hating muslim extremists, we would rebuild the towers as they once were. That would really piss 'em off! Show 'em we're not scared. That we're not going to bow out or cry like a little school girl! Enough PC BS. Enough 'we remember' stuff. Show that you actually remember and put back what is rightfully theirs! Wouldn't we rebuild the White House again? The Lincoln Memorial? The Pentagon? Of course we would!

9/11 Families & Close Friends

I lost my husband in the WTC attacks in NYC. His name was Israel Pabon and he was a loving husband and dedicated father to our to beautiful daughters. the hardest part for me at this point is that he can't be here to enjoy them with me, to see them grow, simply miss all that they have acheived in the young lives and was not here to be a part of that. Israel died and to this moment I miss him as much now as when it all happened. My strength was and is our children.

I agree with your cause of replacing the twin towers, no other statement would strike home to whoever carried out these attacks. I have visited New York and love the spirit and determination you guys have, here's to a peaceful future for all of us. Good luck with your efforts, David from England

YES! Rebuild both towers, not just one. Maybe even engrave the names of all those that perished in the Towers on that fateful day in the design of the buildings, on each floor. 2750/110=25 names per floor. As well as a rotating red, white and blue bright light on the very top of either one or both. This would act as a symbol to the rest of the world that we're back, and were brighter than ever! Also a big lighted sign at night that reads 911 on one tower and 2001 on the other. Peace ya all.

I agree that the towers should be re-built as they were - to stand tall in the face of the people that took them down. It would send a very strong message to the world. The message would not be an antagonistic or negative portrayal of our attitude, but a message of hope and strength and resolve. And it would be a tribute to all Americans and all of the people of the world that believe in freedom.

remember when we said we will not forget? lots of people have and that's a big deal because bin laden will think were scared he will come back to redo 9-11. he's too scared. we the people have to make sure they build them. they were once the world's tallest buildings and they deserve respect not to be crashed in to. why would we put in a stupid glass elevator? if they get rebuilt there's two towers that means two freedom towers. REBUILD THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. PLEASE UNITED WE STAND ON GROUND ZERO REBUILD THEM.

As a company executive, I believe that we need to stay together as one nation to remember 911 - and to honor our lost - and to rebuild the vision of the TWIN TOWERS - in more majesty and glory than ever before - to demonstrate our resolve to be one free nation, under God, committed to the capitalistic freedom of this United States of America - and that we will defend to our death, the freedoms that were earned for us by our forefathers and nation's founders. DON'T LET THE FEW RULE OVER THE MANY.

The only way to rebuild the World Trade Center is to have the twin towers once again even if they have to be placed 300 feet to the east of the original twin towers. New technology can make the new twin towers than the original ones. New twin towers will send a statement to terrorists saying we put back up what you knocked down.

After the shock wore off from seeing the coverage on that infamous day, I thought to myself, "They need to be rebuilt! Either one floor taller or one floor shorter. But either way, they have to be rebuilt."

The one floor higher option would be in defiance to the terrorists and their ilk. The one floor shorter alternative would be in honor of those we lost, a symbolic bow in remembrance.

I like the 1776 feet & year reference in the Freedom Tower design, but there needs to be two tower

The Twin Towers have been iconic symbol for New York City for years and they deserve to be rebuilt to make New York original again. The Twin Towers should serve as an ever lasting reminder to all Americans that "We may have fallen but we have prevailed".

Although I think there should be a category For CT residents seeing were just as close as NJ I will include myself in "other Americans" At my work in Fairfield CT I could see the Twin Towers stand...I also had to see in horror the black clouds of their destruction... when we fall down we get back up on BOTH legs/feet... put BOTH legs back up on this site!!!... Rebuild the "TWIN" towers TALLER, STRONGER and Greener than before... What better sign of the America Lady Liberty stands for!!!

TTA Note: "All Other NY and NJ Residents" refers to the two Port Authority states. Someone who could see the Twin Towers from Connecticut belongs in Metro New Yorkers.
