I was 7 years old when my first visit to New York. I promised myself that I would one day live in New York. The reason I wanted to live in New York was because of all of the kind and caring people and I was absolutely amazed by the WTC. I joined the military to do something for the country and the least the country can do is rebuild so that those lost on 9/11 did not die in vain.

Enough already! Enough decision-by-committee. Want to send a message? Build them back to the way they were on September 10th, 2001. Stop the madness. NYC suffered when 9/11 happened and it's insane that the city is still suffering from a lack of leadership on this. The area is a business zone, a symbol of a free society...that is why it was hit and that is what it needs to become again...not some multi-purpose, politcally correct memorial that won't be worthy of the lives that were lost there.

Twins should be rebuilt! America wont ever be the same without them!!!!

I visited New York City almost three years ago. Where once stood the magnificent Twin Towers, there was instead an empty void. I believe that no design can replace the Twin Towers in the hearts of the USA's citizens and in the hearts of its friends and allies.

I hope that rebuilt Twin Towers will one day stand proud as a symbol of your country's indomitable spirit. May they inspire the entire world once more.

I have always had a great fascination with the Twin Towers, and think that they were exceptionally beautiful buildings that carried a powerful message. It would mean so much more to people not only in the USA, but to the entire world's people to rebuild these symbols of freedom and integrity, than the cheap glass ornaments of historical irrelevance that the project leaders are so misguidedly forcing upon the world's people.

Rebuilding is the perfect way to show the people who destroyed the towers that they did not win. You can bomb the towers, you can hit them with planes and knock them down, but you can't keep them down. It's symbolic of the American spirit -- perseverance, getting up and going on no matter how many times you get knocked down. To build anything else would just not be as powerful or as meaningful. Please reconsider that 'freedom tower.'

Since I was child I dreamt to travel to NY to meet the twin towers, and now I could do it, they are not there anymore...
For north american dignity, they must be rebuilt.

As I walked over the 59th street bridge leaving Manhattan on 9/11/01 I looked at the smoke that was the World Trade Center and thought we'll be determined & rebuild. The thought of not putting them back up is unimaginable to me.
Don't let them take away our famous skyline! Then they really have made a difference besides taking all of those lives. We must do this to show they haven't won. Rebuild the Twin Towers!

I love the twin towers. If we rebuild them we are honoring the fallen that died that day. Trust me, those people that died would have wanted those twin towers to be rebuilt for their city. Making new buildings would be disrespectful to the brave that have fallen. Rebuilding would also show the terrorists that we will not let them win the war on terror. WE ARE STRONGER! GOD BLESS AMERICA and god bless all of the families of the victims on that horrible Tuesday morning.

I fully support this great effort to rebuild our country and restore american greatness. I can't think of a more powerful and stoic symbol. Do not let this effort go silent!

The World Trade Center IS one of the biggest and greatest landmarks in New York and in United States history.

The Port Authority is stupid for trying to reshape Manhattan's famous skyline with something so pointless as the Freedom Tower, or as "THEIR" so called One World Trade Center, which is a huge slap in the face to the Twin Towers, for frauding the North Tower's original name.

REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS, BUT STRONGER & TALLER THAN BEFORE! RESTORE MANHATTAN'S SKYLINE TO ITS RIGHTFUL HONOR & PROVE TO THE TERRORISTS THAT THEY CAN NEVER BREAK THE AMERICAN SPIRIT!

As a proud American, and a future service member, it is a shame that we have not already rebuilt these symbols of freedom. These iconic towers stood in the New York skyline for 30 years. In essence we have let them win, they destroyed something that stood as a symbol of America, they destroyed them, and we're too complacent to rebuild them. I believe Donald Trump has the best idea, rebuild them, but one floor taller.

I'm contributing to the fight against terrorism abroad but we can not possibly win without an unconditional victory at home. Stepping up airport security, an increased defense budget, and the creation of the Dept. of Homeland Security are steps in the right direction. The final bayonet thrust of the war at home is the rebuilding of the Twin Towers EXACTLY as they once stood. Doing anything else disgraces the American dead and insults their families. Don't let the terrorists succeed.

Rebuild the Twin Towers. Any other project for that land mass in Lower Manhattan is unacceptable and will waste space and money for the next century. Do the right thing, rebuild the towers for the next generation to know what we stood for.

I really never heard of the twin towers until 9/11. I think it's a GREAT idea to rebuild it. get as many people as you can!!!

From the beginning of the aftermath I have felt that the bravest thing, the greatest thing, would be to rebuild the towers exactly as they were in their iconic greatness -- perhaps even a bit taller. Only now years later, saddened that nothing has happened, yet hopeful now that President Obama has taken office I went online to search for an organized effort to accomplish this. I hope this is something that gets serious consideration -- and soon.

It isn't too late. we all know it. The freedom tower is nothing but a huge white flag, a symbol of defeat. Not to mention it'll only make our economy worse. It's so costly just to keep the current plan running, there would be an admission fee just to get into the mermorial! We don't wanna pay for freedom do we? REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS! NOTHING ELSE WILL DO!

I can't believe I found this site! This was my fierce belief on that terrible day - that they should be put right back up! Not only do they belong there, they'd be two extended middle fingers to those who thought they could bring America down with the Towers. Every other design I've seen has been a hideous atrocity. I worked in Lower Manhattan as they were going up, friends and family members worked there and/or were first responders. NY deserves to have its Twin Towers BACK!

I strongly feel that the Twin Towers should be re-built. I have never been to Manhattan but I know the towers were a strong symbol of America. You would see them in movies, magazines, etc. But now, nothing, and it looks so weird. All of the unfortunate victims that were taken from us that day would want the same. Build the towers, show your pride!!!!

We should be rebuilding them each with at least 5 extra floors. However, it may be too late... what a shame!

How is it allowed that so few people can be so dismissive of what so many want?

God I want my twin towers back. I was a child in the late 1970s. And a teenager in the 1980s. I grew up with the twin towers. I loved them. My heart broke on 9/11. And my heart still aches not seeing those buidlings today. I saw the interview of Chris Ward on 1600. Where is his courage? His Honor for those who died there? He's a coward. Allowing Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to dictate what is built in NY. Bring back my twin towers. Heal my heart. If the FT is built my heart will forever be broken.

The first idea for rebuilding that's made sense to me.

The right thing to do is rebuild the Twin Towers.

I am concerned, that "America" has lost something. Something that was there in the beginning of this great nation. Did we let it slip away, while chasing false dreams? We are Americans. I would not want to live in any other country but America. Let's all find what we have lost, and bring it on with a Passion.

I think the current plan is CRIMINAL because it is robbing not only the people of New York, but the people of the United States of America of that signature of our country's success. To all of you Government officials who we elected freely to office should start standing for what we elected for in the first place. Enough with wasting our taxpayer money on a flawed and hideous design. It's time you put your political agendas aside and start working for the people. REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS!

I am Mario Trotta and I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We must rebuild the twin towers for a new rebirth of defiance and bold spirit that sends a message around the world. This is our chance. I can remember going to New York City and seeing them. The Freedom Tower does not represent our pride of the American Spirit. It is a disgrace to the American People and very disrespectful to many 9/11 families. Some officals are out of touch with America. Defend America and Rebuild the Towers!!
