I was on the fence about this issue until I saw Ward last night. To call the Twin Towers nothing more than Real Estate was low and offensive and I've had enough! He slithered his way out of answering the demands of 9/11 families and the NYFD/PD. I'm now sickened by their plan and what it 'stands' for. 20 or 30 years from now we'll look at the once mighty Twins in photos etc. and go "why didn't we just rebuild"? I'm 100% behind you guys now!

Why was it the Towers they wanted destroyed? The answer is obvious. They stood as a symbol of American principals, culture and achievements. So why is it so difficult for us to defy these murderous thieves and put those Towers right back up again? As an American patriot there is no other option and no better response. In your face Al-Qaida!!! RESTORE OUR MAGNIFICENT SKYLINE for all the world to see!!! Take pride in our heritage and our accomplishments. Let no one take them from US.

Rebuild WTC!!

We rebuilt Europe's Historic Buildings after WWII. Why shouldn't we rebuild our own?

We know the Eiffel Tower or the Tower of London would be rebuilt under similar circumstances. The Junk Design of the Freedom Tower is an insult.

The American Spirit means resiliency in the face of adversity. The Twin Towers symbolize our Strength and Leadership in the World we've lost in recent years.

We deserve the same treatment that Europe and other countries get when their Landmarks are destroyed.

Rebuilding the twin towers would not only show that America can't be destroyed but it would also heal the wound in our national heart.

With all that we've been through in the last 8 years it's time we, as Americans, do the right thing. Let's rebuild the Twin Towers and not a replacement building.

The freedom tower does not do justness to America. The towers were internationally known symbols, and they shall remain so!

Please rebuild the Twin Towers, the Freedom tower is a hideous joke and a symbol of corrupt leadership.

I think these towers should be rebuilt, since they were and should always be the center of NYV skyline. I think that by building another type of structure aka the "Freedom Tower", you will not only be depriving NYC from having its glorious skyline, but you will also take away NYC international symbol. Please do not build the freedom tower, and rebuild the twin towers bigger, and safer, that ever before.

We need to rebuild bigger and better. When someone dies it is impossible to bring them back to life, but we are given a unique opportunity to do just that in this case, bring the Twin Towers back to life instead of being haunted by their absence.

definately rebuild the towers. it does look like a Giant needle. it just shows a troubling case and trend of expediantcy mediocracy which has infected this counrty.

The Towers need to be rebuilt to deprive the terrorists and all other holders of their mindset of a tangible legacy of loss.
God will work with the human loss according to his plan, but it is up to the citizens of the United states; the target, to bring-about the myriad untold benifits that 'complete' rebuilding will bring.
Our country still owns the accomplishments of our past-realized dreams . Since this loss is one shared by living and dead alike, claiming that ownership is now our duty.

I can't believe there was no public debate about the WTC Site. Behind closed doors former Governor George Pataki allow Libeskind to build his horrible plan for the WTC Site. After the police got involved they chose the current plan that is being implemented. I am astonished that these politicians don't listen to the victims or the citizens in regards to the rebuilding of the Twin Towers. What better way to say "F-You" to the terrorists by rebuilding the Twin Towers again? God bless America.

There is no question. There is no other design that should be built as the focal point of the site then the Twin Towers. One large tower surrounded by smaller ones just doesn't seem right. Stronger, Taller!

The only right thing to do is rebuild the twin towers. Bigger and stronger than before! That's the american way. It's definitely the new york way! We can't replace the towers with something that is "less than" what was originally there. The "freedom" tower is much less than the twin towers.

Ever since I was a child, the WTC towers were to me an incredibly strong icon of America. I dreamt about going there, visiting my favorite city and favorite pair of skyscrapers. My father once went to the towers, and the pictures and stories he brought home fueled my lust for going there one day.
In September 2001 my dreams were shattered when on television I could see that someone had destroyed the towers. I wish nothing but to see the iconic towers rise again! When they do, I'll be there.

This is the view I was born and raised with, this is the view that was taken away from me, this is the view that should return!

I'm so excited about this! This has to happen! They must do this! Yes, they've already spent one billion in the reconstruction of the freedom tower, but only the preparation stage. It would be worth scrapping it anyway. It would do so much for America's pride.

Dammit! This shouldn't be a debate! Scrap the Freedom Tower... Build that in Philadephia! The Twin Towers belong in NYC.

I said that day that the RIGHT thing to do is re-build the towers. THAT sends the message!! I love the new design. I saw it today on MSNBC and it gave me an overwelming feeling of joy.

It seems like a blow to the entire nation to lose our tallest building and then see third world countries go on to build their own taller buildings. They should build over the original site and simply include part of the orginal structure as a memorial in the basement. Build them taller than they were originally and use external bracing such as the Hancock building in Chicago has. This would put the strongest part of the building on the outside. Mild tapering would increase the strength.

I was 10 years old when the towers fell. I never had the chance to see the towers. They need to be rebuilt they are part of history but not for that day every one now remenbers them becasue of what happend at 8 in the morning. I was in school when it happend we did not know to the full extent what was going on. But i will say this the towers mark NYC as much at the stague of libirty does. They are a landmark and if rebult would be a becon of hope for a contury still in its dakest days.

There is no other way to rebuild this site than rebuilding the towers as close as possible to the originals. Please keep hammering away at the effort to replace the towers.

This is a no-brainer.

As a proud American, I can say that there would be no better act of defiance against terrorism and demonstration of America's resolves than rebuilding the Twin Towers. Obama's election has showed that a new spirit of hope and confidence is in America today, so I hope that new Twin Towers can be a part of the change we need and will go through.

What was taken away from us on 9/11 should be restored as a symbol of perseverence and pride. It should honor those who were lost, and inspire those who they left behind.

i live in the uk, and it was a very sad day for me when the towers came down!! and my thoughts went out to all the peoples familys. but i think the twin towers should be rebuilt,for sure!! i think it is what the people of america, and people of the uk would for sure want to see, the sky line will never be the same again with out them! if i had the money, i would pay for them to be built for sure!!!! Building The Twin Towers Two i think would be a good choice because first of all its the best design and when you think of NYC's skyline you think of two towers that rise above all others. I think building this would pay great homage to Minoru Yamasaki, the architect behind World Trade Center. Also so many people never had the chance to experience standing1,368 ft above lower Manhattan. So I really hope that Twin Towers Two gets built because two towers is way better than just *one*.
