I have loved NYC since I was a child, I have never visited, but I plan to move and make it my home some day. The loss of the towers was devastating, and I still cry to this day. Not rebuilding them would be a loss to such a great city, and of it's people. Letting the towers fall and not stand back up again is just awful, and it's sad to see that some people are letting the tragedy of that event teach nothing about pride and respect. Raise the towers and show these monsters haven't won.

There is no question in my mind that rebuilding the towers is the appropriate thing to do. Add a memorial as well - but put those towers back up. That is the American spirit that many (hopefully most) of us would like to see displayed for the world - and especially the terrorists - to see.

the twin towers should be rebuilt. I saw what happen that day on tv and we cant leave the skyline of manhattan to terrorists. we have to fight back. rebuild what they took. if the towers are rebuilt the families will be happier. they dont want the freedom tower. we want what we lost. freedom we cant lose. we have to rebuild so everbody we lost could rest in peace.

The best way to show that terrorists are nothing but bullies and cold-blooded murderers would be to rebuild the Towers bigger and better than ever! Let us never cave in to their attempts to intimidate us and take away our freedoms!!

I remember coming to NYC in my early 20's and whenever I would land at Newark and take the shuttle to the Port Authority, the excitement would always heighten when I caught a glimpse of the towers in the distance. It represented something larger than life and that you were a part of something really dynamic and special. They weren't just buildings, they were a peice of iconagraphy representing success for Americans. I can think of no greater tribute, than to rebuild them as they were.

I have never been to New York but I wish the Twin Towers were still there, I was 7 when it happened and I didn't even know what they were, I can remember being told. As I grew up it had a great effect on me and touched me so much. New York will not be the same without them! It would be amazing to see them back! Building just a memorial would be like giving a trophy to those terrorists, saying well done, you've won. Bring them back!

I don't live in the USA but I would love to go to New York to see the twin towers rise up above the skyline again, I am totally for TT2 and totally against the Freedom Tower, if the Twin Towers are rebuilt, it will show the terrorists that they can't win.

Rebuild to regain the spirit of how things were before the terror.

When I see this Freedom Tower I only see another icon, but when I see the plans to rebuild the twin towers I see an icon that represents hope. The freedom tower plan has been a disaster. Completion dates constantly backed later and later, there are too many design issues, the cost to build it is unbelievable, it is smaller than the originals suggesting submission. The only true solution is to rebuild the Twin towers again, truly better in every way.

Rebuild the Towers exactly the way they stood in 2001. That would be the ultimate memorial to the many who died on that day. The cowards who did this to us should be denied the satisfaction of changing the skyline of New York forever. Every time I look at the NY skyline and see the void where the Towers were, I remember this cowardly attack. We should fix this and return the Towers to their glory. That would be a huge slap in the face for these idiot terrorists.

The Twin Towers must be rebuilt, this time even taller than the Sears Tower by at least 100', to show everyone in the world that they can never beat us, to make New York, New York again, and to show that all those innocent people did not die in vain, like the soldiers in Vietnam! God bless their souls. If these Towers are not rebuilt, I and the rest of the nation will be ashamed to call ourselves Americans. You might as well give the terrorist the keys to the White House. If we do not rebuild, then the terrorists have won. No greater memorial would stand to those who died, than to have the twin towers rebuilt in their honor.

I believe we should rebuild the towers and make them one floor taller to show the world and our enemies we will never give up and any attacks against us will make us stronger and fight harder. The Twin Towers were not only two rectangular prisms at the tip of Manhattan, they were a symbol of strength and freedom for this country. What is the point of building a "junkyard" of closely accumulated buildings that have no symbolism towards the devastated of 9/11 or for the rest of us Americans? The people of New York City woke up every morning, expecting to see the pride and endurance of those two buildings taking up space, and they're expecting the same in the years to come.

This is America where things are done BIG and BOLD! Freedom Tower is way too futuristic looking and does not blend in whatsoever with New York. In my personal opinion, Freedom Tower is a slap in the face to New York and America. Rebuild the twin towers and make them BIGGER than they every were.

Not rebuilding the Twin Towers would be a sign of defeat. I've seen videos advertising the Freedom Tower and they flat out say that they took our twin towers so let's build something smaller. I want New York to be New York again!

I was in the 4th grade when the towers fell. I was in NYC last year and the hole left in the skyline without the towers is horrifying. Put them back and tell Osama to kiss it!

Why Get the Artists frustrated with this Freedom Tower. I was drawing a nice picture of Manhattan and the new WTC was all over the place, attenas and sharp pointy things?! I decided to draw a picture of the skyline from 1999 and was ABLE to because the Design Worked!

Why give them the satisfaction? Build it better than it was.

I'm really embarassed that the so-called "greatest nation on Earth" can't erase this physical scar (the hole in the ground) and rebuild the site! How are we supposed to convey our strength and resilience if it's taken this many years just to have a well-groomed hole in the ground? Enough! This is a lousy tribute to those who were taken away on that fateful day. If they're not going to get their acts together and build something, then fill the hole and plant trees as a memorial.

I am French and American, my dad use to work there as a trader. but we came back in france in 1999. My sister was studyin in NYC and was in the subway station when the Wtc collapsed she is ok.... I'm lucky...
Part of NYC spirit died with the towers, i used to live in NYC. GIVE THEM BACK. At a moment i thought i was the only one to think that twins should be rebuild. But now thank you for what your doing. i will never thank you enough.

We do not need to let these terrorists dictate on how we live our lives. We need to rebuild the towers to show the world for what we stand.

It should not be too late, rebuild the Twin Towers taller and stronger as a symbol of American strength, courage and resolve.

Please rebuild those beautiful twin towers. I miss the observation deck in tower 2 as well as the windows on the world restaurant in tower 1. The towers will rise again.

People should realize that the Freedom Tower is only being built because of other peoples greed. It isnt something that needs to be built at all. We need the Twin Towers back! They weren't a target because of their height, they were a target because of what they stood for. They stood for the unity on the strength of America and thats something that the terrorists hated, and thats why they were destroyed. Not building the Twin Towers again means they won! Lets rebuild now!
