im sorry but the ny skyline looks fucked up without them, i may be from Australia, but i DO care for the twin towers, and i am fighting your battle with you!

Rebuilding the twin towers would show everyone around the world, including terrorists, that the will and determination of this country has been and is still being tested. But, also to show everyone, that we can overcome such adversity and look to the future. Not only for perseverance, but to also honor those citizens and the emergency personnel that lost their lives.

Rebuild the towers and fit one of them with 16, 50 caliber machine guns, 4 facing each direction and men on stand by 24/7. Its a populated city, i know but the casualties will be much less then the mental stress of another attack which could never be counted out because of the winners we have in government office.

I loved those buildings and I miss seeing them. The day that site is reborn will be the happiest day of my life and thats no stretch.

The Iconic world trade centres where an inspiration prior to 9/11 as they are today. The feeble excuse of the new design is both an insult and an abomination to all those who lost their lives on that day.
I spent an afternoon in august 2001 just sitting on the Plaza in simple awe of these megalithic monuments, testament to mans enginuity and desire for progression in 1973... 35 years later we seem to of lost direction and a simple desire to do what's right. Keep the faith friend.

It's nice to know that there are many Americans and people worldwide who believe as I do that the best way to honor those who tragically perished in the WTC on 911 and to pay tribute to their families, friends, and loved ones and to honor our great nation and all nations who are proponents of freedom and democracy is to rebuild the twin towers. Additionally (and less importantly), the future design of the so-called freedom towers is completely unoriginal and utterly hideous in appearence.

The towers need to be rebuilt to show the world that we will not be intimidated by anyone. They should also be a memorial to those who died there that terrible day so that we never forget. It would show those who want to destroy anything in this country that we will not be deterred from having what we want in our own land! Those towers did not fall down from neglect they fell because of a design flaw that no one would ever have thought would happen. We can and must correct it!!!!!

please rebuild, although i lost someone very close to me and i know i can never get them back, the towers should be rebuilt the way they were before! time goes on and we must carry on. a new tower with a new design says we have forgotten. but if we go with the old look, it says. we are strong and we carry on, through the ups and downs. we are one nation, for justice and all.

IN MY OPINION, THE TWIN TOWERS SHOULD BE RECONSTRUCTED. THAT WOULD BE ANOTHER WAY TO REMEMBER OUR LOSSES AND HEROES, THEY STOOD UP ONCE AND SHOULD STAND UP FOR EVER.

NYC must rebuild the towers... I have lost too many friends and family members to 9/11, they would want them rebuilt. My family has many memories of the twin towers so we want them rebuilt just the way they were.

I fully agree that to build anything less than this plan for a reconstruction of the Twin Towers would only create a permanent scar on our country. Seriously... a 200' windowless concrete bunker? How does that scream freedom? Nothing would show the resilience, pride, and freedom of the American people than honoring our will and defying our enemies by restoring what was lost. The memorial is also far superior than that proposed with the Freedom Tower. Rebuild the Twin Towers!

One of the most exiting moments in my visit to NY was overlooking the city from the observation deck. My grand daughter is 10 years old - she can not even imagine what that was like. I would like to see the towers rebuilt - for all the future generations from all over the globe to have that experience. When I watch movies filmed prior to the fall of the towers, it's like watching movies of a family member that passed on. The skyline has a big hole in its heart without the towers. PLEASE rebuild them.

I never had the opportunity to see the Twin Towers and I've never visited New York city but even I feel sad when I see the New York skyline without those majestic buildings reaching for the sky. I really do not think the Freedom Tower is the best way to remember all those who lost their lives that day. Rebuild the towers and make new york city, new york city again! The perfect symbol of freedom and the perfect memorial for 9/11.

I didn't have the opportunity to visit the fallen twin towers, but I know how they were significant to all the people not just in New York City, I mean USA-wide . They were an icon and they will be in the hearts of all those Americans that survived the attack. Re-building them will be a better memorial than a big park with a monument around a big hole, dear fellow Americans, don't let the government decide for you, you are able to decide the destiny of that historic place by yourselves!!

I've never been to New York City but one of the sites at the top of my list of places to see was always the World Trade Center. The Freedom Tower and the other buildings that are supposed to replace the buildings lost to terrorism just don't compare. Rebuilding with re-engineered Twin Towers is the most fitting memorial to all of the citizens of the world who were lost. Only then would the skyline say "THIS IS NEW YORK CITY.". Watching any movie made between 1975 and 2001 will tell you that.

I think that rebuilding the two skyscrapers would be a great idea and it would be sure to make those terrorists' jaws drop to see that the buildings they helped destroyed have came back! Maybe they should look at Donald Trump's design.

I feel that they should be rebuilt and look the same as before, the country remembers them as they were and would like them back better and stronger looking the same.

I think it's a great idea to rebuild the Twin Towers.It might give more peace to the victims families and show how strong America really is.GOD BLESS THE USA... My heart breaks for the families... Just get it done...

they should have been completed already.footprints preserved with new towers at reverse locations next to the original footprints serving as memorials.at least call that freedom thing the world trade center. it's almost like the planners were happy they came down so now they could fix all that was wrong with the old sight,restore streets,improve transit,reduce windy conditions.come on.they never were supposed to come down.we should have put them respectfully back up.

Absolutely...I'm from the midwest and love New York City. I really miss those two beautiful towers - New York City looks naked without them.

new york needs the towers, for the coming generations who never got to see the city skyline with them, they stood for the greatest city on earth!!!

I have always wanted to see world trade center since I was a kid, and never had a chance to. I strongly believe that the towers should be built to their exact originally.
