I really hope that the design changes, I have lived in Manhattan my entire life and miss those two glorious towers, and definitely do not want to see the "Freedom Tower" when I get up in the morning. The name I could care less about, it is just the design that really bothers me, to me it doesn't blend in with the rich, classic history of what is the great city of New York.

Rebuilding the Twin Towers is the only plan that makes sense.

Rebuild The TOWERS. Make them bigger and better so that they are reminiscent of the NY skyline of old but slightly more "magnified" and "more magnificent" than before. JHR

I have always loved the sight of the Twin Towers. I go to school in Downtown Brooklyn and I am always looking towards Lower Manhattan and not seeing the Twin Towers. I always imagine them still being there. I don't want to imagine anymore. I want to see the real thing. Rebuild the Twin Towers!!!!

I visited the twin towers in 2000 when I was 10, the next time I saw new york it was from the air in 2007 and its really a big shocking difference. Not rebuilding is like admitting defeat.

The Twin Towers will always be a symbol of the 20th Century for me, a grand reminder of the culture we lived in. The Freedom Tower represents a constant reminder to our weaknesses as a people. Plus is looks shite.

I Live in Brooklyn and i thought the Twin Towers were gorgeous and now the skyline just looks empty and it brakes my heart. I am a muslim myself and i think nothing would be a better slap in the face to osama then to rebuild the towers the way they were before I LOVED THOSE Towers and i dont like the freedom tower i dont like the thougt of one large tower sticking out of the NYC skyline. i say BRING BACK THE THE TWIN TOWERS it will also be a great tribute to all the families that lost loved ones.

The URL I'm including isn't my own, but after seeing it (http://www.bobbyshred.com/twintowers.html) I think it would convince anyone that we can & should put things back the way they were. We should also hallow the ground at the site, but in the plan, they do both. I think that's the most important thing & probably is to all Americans. We don't have to turn the site into an art project - it defeats the purpose, alters the skyline like the terrorists wanted, & shows we can be shaken into changing our way of life.

I once came across a picture of the twin towers in a Soviet published atlas circa 1979. Amazing, those buildings were a respected by our friends and enemies alike.

We cannot allow the terrorists to determine our skyline. We must rebuild one of the enduring symbols of America.

Please rebuild them, they were everything that made NYC, it just wont be the same without them. The new buildings look really crap - and thats just for starters I could go on and on but I wont, I just wanted to say PLEASE REBUILD THEM!!!

I am doing a report on the twin towers and what had happened to them and me and my classmates would like the twin towers to be rebuilt. Without the twin towers this world is missing a peice of history. So if we can rebuild it, it would be a miracle.
TTA Note: The Hayleys of this world need to see that miracles do happen -- and one day that is just what rebuilt Twin Towers will proclaim.

My wife and I recently visited New York from Newfoundland, Canada, and fell in love with your beautiful city. The buildings (many of which were built by steelworkers from my province) and the people were wonderful. However, the lack of the WTC in the New York skyline saddened us deeply. Don't give up! Rebuild the towers. Show the rest of the world how to really fight back and restore New York to its former glory. We'll be back to visit the new Twin Towers soon!

The Twin Towers should be re-built. They stood tall and looked amazing in the Skyline. Two holes that are put in the ground (not even how towers looked like)will not do it for me. I love Modern buildings but these looked amazing. If they cant rebuild, they have to recreate them some how.

As a 9/11 Family I say build the Towers again and one extra floor. It is clear sharia has infiltrated America and many Americans have already forgotten 9/11. Thank God for the United States Military! They KNOW what they are fighting for. Since the murder of our loved one "Bill" life has never been the same. I have watched as Islamist continue to advance their agenda of "the caliphate" (global domination). What will it take for Americans to wake up? Islamist/sharia is HERE. Please see it.

Rebuilding is the perfect way to show the people who destroyed the towers that they did not win. You can bomb the towers, you can hit them with planes and knock them down, but you can’t keep them down. It’s symbolic of the American spirit – perseverance, getting up and going on no matter how many times you get knocked down. To build anything else would just not be as powerful or as meaningful. Please reconsider that ‘freedom tower.’

We should not only build back the twin towers, but a 3rd tower should be added so when you look from the direction of Mecca, you will see a BIG F. U.
Please rebuild the towers. Thank you.

We truly need to rebuild the twin towers. We need to rebuild now for the sake on our beloved New York and this country. We can't let a group of people dictate what should or should not be put there. We have to look at the need of this city and country. It is disgraceful that nothing is built at the site of our beloved towers.

I personally think that the twin towers is a sign of hope for us if it is to be rebuilt. It will show that we are proud and we can fix any damage that anyone will cause to the us, to have the twin towers rebuilt would be a great honor, and I really hope they get rebuilt!

They should restore the original skyline, and yes, even bigger than before - the Twin Towers were functional and beautiful, and New York needs to have them again.

Rebuild the Twin Towers and scrap the Freedom Towers idea. This new design does nothing but glorify fear and defeat. Raise up as Americans and petition.

The Twin Towers stood for, and presented something to the world! What better way to show them we're still standing than to rebuild them side by side?

It will unite Americans back together stronger than before with a huge sense of pride.

The Twin Towers were my favorite and most beloved buildings in this city and my heart was broken on 9/11, for the towers and for those who lost their lives. I want these towers to be rebuilt just as they were, perhaps with modifications to prevent collapse should the terrorists strike again. Rebuild the Twin Towers NOW!

I believe the twin towers need to be rebuilt, but not just, only higher and more pretty. and thats what i'm waiting to show my children, who already dont remember the new york skyline of before 9/11.

They should rebuild the Towers because they are a part of what New York life is about. R.I.P all of those who tragically lost their lives that sad day.

Build them exactly as they were and say to them "In Your Face!!!" We will not go quietly and without a fight to the death.

It occurs to me that a hundred years ago, this would not even have been a question. Of course they should be rebuilt. Exactly as before. No taller, no bigger. The act of destroying the the Towers is a symbol, as is the act of rebuilding them just like they were. I don't care about sending the message. I care about rebuilding them so people can stop living in fear. Maybe one day when people look at the skyline of New York, instead of pain, they'll feel hope.

I would love to see these two amazing towers rebuilt - what better way to show terrorists that they simply can not and WILL NOT ever win?! In fact, I think we should go even further and not only rebuild the towers but rebuild them higher than before in increments of a certain measurement for each person that was murdered. A rebuilt WTC would be a demoralizing blow for the demons behind the vile act of 2001.

I grew up with an unobstructed view of our country's symbol of freedom & power. I want nothing more than to show the rest of the world that if they knock us down we will get right back up. As long as the towers remain gone the enemy assumes victory & gains followers. Rebuilding the towers will restore patriotism & pride, two things many American's have lost as we send soldiers to fight back. Show the world the strength of liberty & the power of a country that refuses to accept persecution.

This is one way to show the people who attacked us that they did nothing; that they proved nothing. Rebuilding the Twin Towers would show them that we will overcome anything they throw our way.

To not rebuild the towers, is to surrender and give in to the enemy. We cannot let that happen, we cannot give the enemy the satisfaction!!!
