The towers must be rebuilt to restore New York to its orignal glory and magnificent skyline. I remember watching them go up as a child and I was in awe that every month they grew a little taller. Now I see fear at the emptiness of that location that has remained empty for the past 6 years. Restore the strength and pride of all New Yorkers and all Americans. To build a "Freedom Tower" is succumbing to political correctness and showing our fear. If we do not rebuild them, there is no freedom.

If the White House had been destroyed would they have rebuilt it? YES! If any of the Monuments in DC were destroyed for any reason would they rebuild them? YES! GIVE US BACK OUR MONUMENT! Nothing else will do. This website is a testament to the faith and love of not only NEW YORKERS but all Americans as well as tourist who love our City and our Country and came from all corners of the world to see and climb those buildings before they were destroyed. They were SPECTACULAR!!!! Don't let us down!

growing up in east village (alphabet city) i grew up looking at our skyline, those beautiful twin towers. from my room window i always had a clear view of the towers. which represents so much of everything positive in this great city and nation.the new plans for the world trade center do not give the site any justice, its a joke and a band-aid solution, it sucks.we should build back the twin towers better, taller and stronger. bring back the true beauty downtown manhattan was known for.

I have a clear view of the Manhattan skyline from my home on in Queens. I have had the awesome, proud view of the twin towers for nearly 30 years. I want our towers back. It's a disgrace to let big money companies make up the minds of the rest of New Yorkers and the nation. WE WANT THE TWIN TOWERS BACK ... BIGGER, BETTER, STRONGER!!!!

I was also part of the rescue/recovery effort.
it hurts my soul to think that they have made every effort not to rebuild the towers.
the first day down there in the utter chaos that was happening, most of us felt don't let them win!!! rebuild, rebuild just the way they were and stronger and more prouder that ever.

I am a new yorker living in boston i watched on tv like most new yorkers living out side of our home city the twin towers fall and like all new yorkers i died a little that day.i remember all the school trips to the towers
days i would take the train in from queens with my freinds
and we would put our face on the side of the buildings and look up the side of them it looked like they went on forever.

Show them that we are the strong free, and the brave put them back up.

We need to rebuild them as they were, only better. We need to use asbestos to prevent what happened from happening again.

Please rebuild what was there.

We Americans owe it to those lost that day and we deserve to have our towers back.

Only re-erecting the towers will make the appropriate statement about the future and America. Is it a vision of hope or a vision of fear?

Failure to rebuild the Twin Towers to AT LEAST THE SAME HEIGHT is a surrender to the wishes of the murderers and an acknowledgement that hostile alien Moslems have the right to veto New Yorkers having edifices of that height.

Please help the alliance and the people of New York City get back what we miss so much, the twin towers! I was a maintenance electrician at the towers and loved to go to work every day as did those who were fortunate to work there as well. I believe that we would show great strength as a nation by rebuilding the Towers. N.Y.C. union construstion can build a safer, stronger, and better than ever World Trade Center.

If the walls inside the Empire State Building are marble, and the monuments and memorials in D.C. have these kinds of memorials, then why can't we incorporate the two?

By engraving their names, and rebuilding our towers, we are saying that we will continue to live our lives the way WE choose, and NOTHING they do can change that, and those lost will be immortalized, and will be a permanent part of the foundation.

By changing the design, we are admitting that they have an effect on us, that we fear them, and that they can control us.

So why give them that power?

I dream of them still all the time and wishing to see the towers for myself. Truly magnificent buildings!

My name is Andrew, I am 16 years old and i live in England. Everytime I see images of the twin towers, although i have never visited them, i miss them.
I wish along with many other people to be able to witness the awesome and symbollic twin towers. R.I.P victims and towers alike.

Everytime I see the Towers in the skyline of New York in an old movie or television program I get a lump in my throat. Everytime I see a new movie or television program without the Towers, I feel even worse. The only way to heal the wounds caused on 9/11 is to REBUILD THE TOWERS!

Rebuild the towers even taller, and top them with anti-aircraft guns.

Let's build them again. Just as tall, if not taller. Tallest in the world even. Two beacons of cold metal, masterfully raised into the sky, like iron flags whose broad skyward stripes and bright spire persevere through the bombs, planes and poisons some would bring against their fellow man.

And when they're finished, I'll climb to the top, by stairs if I have to, and whisper silently to the world. This is a symbol of a free people. There's not a weapon in our world which can take that from us.

I would really like to see the twin towers built. One thing I don't understand is why did they choose America? What did we ever do to them? It's crazy.

I lived in the NY area when the terrorist pigs did this. I say spit in their faces by rebuilding the towers even taller!

It saddens me that after 6 years we have not rebuilt the towers, still just a hole in the ground that only serves as tribute to the sucess of the terrorist act.

This is the only logical solution. Why should we run scared?

I think the towers should be built as they were only stronger using modern technology. I don't really care for any of the new designs. I would like to see the New york skyline as it once was.

The towers should be returned to their origanal look with a few more stories added to them.

PLEASE rebuild the towers as they once were. We need their majesty! They were a symbol of our strength as Americans.
